Kingdom Hearts’ 20th Anniversary Trailer Reveals ‘Dark Road’, ‘Missing Link’, and ‘Kingdom Hearts 4 (IV)’

11 Apr

Yesterday, Square-Enix dropped a trailer celebrating Kingdom Heart‘s Anniversary, adding announcements for all brand new projects to be released, extending the Kingdom Hearts universe.

It has been a little over year since Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, the game that focuses on Sora’s love interest Kairi, was released, and Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross] has been updating as well (though Square-Enix announced the online game is due to end).

It doesn’t look like the journeys for the Keyblade Masters in this never-ending tale are over. That’s great news for fans looking for more content to be poured out of a 20-year franchise. The real question is: Does Kingdom Hearts have any more juice left? Based on the reactions of many fans across the fan space, including Youtube and Twitch fan influencer The Gamers Joint, it does.

For decades, Kingdom Hearts has excited fans with its amazing graphics, open game-play, ability to wrap audiences into its heartfelt story, and relatable characters.

Kingdom Hearts began in 2002 as a surprisingly successful role-playing game combining Square-Enix’s “Final Fantasy”-style anime-like characters and Disney. It followed the character Sora, a keyblade wielder, and his team of Disney lovables, Donald and Goofy, as they fought creatures called “Heartless”, denizens of darkness. It was updated to include an extension called Final Mix.

The story was much simpler then, though more complex than the average game’s story at the time.

Throughout the years, other games have expanded the Kingdom Hearts universe with new characters, new worlds, new “dark” enemies, and even more additions to the already-complex story.

Throughout, the franchise has released Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (2004, remade into Re: Chain of Memories), Kingdom Hearts II (2005, extended with Final Mix), Kingdom Hearts: Coded (2008, later remade into Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded), Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (2009), Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (2010, extended with Final Mix), Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts X [Chi] (2013, later extended into Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ / Union χ around 2015), Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep-a fragmentary passage- and Kingdom Hearts X Back Story (2017, included in the packaged game Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue), finally, Kingdom Hearts III (2019, extended with Remind), Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory (2020), and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road (2020).

Sora was also a featured character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The franchise has expanded on various gaming platforms, including PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, Mobile phones, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable (PSP), Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, Web browsers, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android iOS, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.

Many of the games were re-packaged into one, onto singular platforms (Playstation 4, Xbox one, Nintendo Switch), probably one of the first franchises to do this with its older games so that new fans can keep up with the story. Recently, Kingdom Hearts – All In One Package has been the repackage that carries all the most current titles.

And just when we all thought that was the end of this very involved gaming series (insert sarcasm here, because we all know that there were already cliff-hangers and secret scenes at the end of the most recent games), here came the announcement of three new extended projects.

The Kingdom Hearts X story is finally wrapping up and coming to a conclusion with Kingdom Hearts Union X Dark Road, set for iOS and Android users.

Next, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was announced, and it appears to cover the world Scala ad Caelum (a world originally designed for Kingdom Hearts III that was left bare and hardly playable). Along with being a long-asked-for extension of the world, it appears fans are amazed that the game has managed to capture the Unreal Engine feeling for iOS and Android phones. For an app game, the game promises to be almost on-par with hard console games and it is a sign of the future of gaming. As online gaming becomes more and more advanced, the appeal will allow players to play beautiful and detailed games from the convenience of anywhere they bring their phones. It’s the portable gaming experience brought to the modern world.

There are many sides to the debate as to whether online app gaming can truly replace hard-copy console gaming. The ability to watch your gameplay on a master screen, giving a fully immersive experience, is clashing with the convenience of carrying your games on a rectangular brick, on an item that already carries tons of other important and non-important apps, anywhere you want to. Wherever games are going, though, Kingdom Hearts doesn’t want to be left behind.

The new game appears to also offer brand new playable characters, including more female characters that wield keyblades. There’s a lot to look forward to.

However, I’m sure, at this point, for most people, the story will get even more confusing with the addition of more character connections (though that’s basically the fun of Kingdom Hearts, since most fans get a kick out of piecing together this very convoluted story).

Finally, the most important piece of information fans have received is the announcement of Kingdom Hearts IV. Could this mean that the Kingdom Hearts saga we know and love will have its real final conclusion soon?

There’s no telling. There were 14 years between Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts III, with plenty of other games in-between, and some fans thought the third game would finally wrap everything up (though hard-core fans knew better). As long as Kingdom Heart’s story remains so complex, with the holes not quite sealed, there appears to be more information to squeeze out across new games, with fans begging for more information. Could Kingdom Hearts IV really clean everything up neatly with a bow? And do the developers really intend it to? It seems like Kingdom Hearts has amassed a solid following in the years it’s been kicking, and Square-Enix seems pretty interested in keeping the enthusiasm alive by advancing Kingdom Hearts into the future.

As to what fans can expect from Kingdom Hearts IV, it’s too early in development to tell. So far, the trailer focuses on Sora, asleep in an apartment building or flat, in a Tokyo-like city called Quadratum (a world built off of a fictional video game in Kingdom Hearts III’s “Toy Box”, a world based off of Toy Story). The trailer doesn’t seem to focus on promoting Disney-ish Worlds, like trailers of old have, so it appears that’s under wraps.

Then again, in the past, many secret endings or early trailers avoided revealing the Disney developments (especially since gaining the rights to the worlds is a slow process). It is clear that Donald and Goofy (and possibly Hades?) will appear in the next installment. It appears that Sora is in the “After World”, some sort of “after life”, possibly passed on. That could be why Hades, from Disney’s Hercules, with his flaming hair, seems to appear in the trailer lurking behind Donald and Goofy.

Many are analyzing how “realistic” the art style looks (so far) in comparison to games before. I’d compare the newly-revealed world to Sanfransokyo in Kingdom Hearts III with a more dark and sinister twist. My theory is it is an “entry world”, similar to Traverse Town, Twilight Town, or Daybreak Town, that the character Sora and other keyblade wielders would often return to for perspective, to recharge, or to complete the main story. It definitely deviates from the other worlds’ more colorful and cartoonish feeling.

To be honest, based on my analysis, it appears that Sora’s “real world” is full of magic and cartoonish color, while the “after world” is our real world. I can get with this symbolism. Our ordinary life can feel like the underworld. It’s already making me think, and I can’t wait to see how Sora navigates it all. If someone in the Kingdom Hearts universe passes on, do they then go on to live in our hum-drum world? It’s almost as mentally stimulating as The Matrix.

Kingdom Hearts may be changed to fit its older audience now, so the realistic touches almost force us to realize that the kid Sora is all-grown-up now.

Aside from these types of changes, I’m sure most fans hope to see some improvements in the next game. To get a break-down on how I believe Kingdom Hearts IV could improve from Kingdom Hearts III, I created an in-depth review of the pros and cons present in the the third major game here.

As Kingdom Hearts IV is coming in, after everything that has happened recently, I can say I’m finally going in with a fresh palette of expectations. Many Disney worlds have been used already, the story has really gone from one extreme to the other, and the gameplay and graphics can only move forward from here. For the first time in years, I feel like I’m looking forward to a brand-new Kingdom Hearts experience, and I didn’t expect to feel that so soon. I really don’t know what to expect next.

It would be nice to see more Disney worlds with characters of color enter the game, worlds found in Disney movies such as The Princess and the Frog or Coco, but we’re talking about a game based in Japan. I don’t even think they promote Tiana at their local Disney Land. Still, I can hope that those movies appear.

Thinking of all that the franchise has put fans through, the journey we’ve all experienced through the many games released, I think most of us can expect it to be a while before this game is completed to perfection. I’m not getting my hopes up that this game will arrive any time soon. We all have time to come up with our hopes and dreams for the perfect Kingdom Hearts game, and the company has plenty of time to listen.

Playing this franchise as a kid, to now as a full adult, it seems so surreal to be able to witness how everything is unfolding as it is. But through it all, I’ve also learned not to expect too much from a game I’ve really fallen in love with. My love for Kingdom Hearts has become unconditional, as it were, with me embracing its flaws and all. No matter how much I try to say I’ve had enough, it draws me in one more time.

So, amidst my suffering pockets, and odd jobs, I will be the first in line when this game finally drops.

In the meantime, all of us fans can still play all of the other games and freshen up on the story. It’s a lot to comb through for newcomers, so I suggest buying the latest repackage to keep up. For old-timers, it’s time to dive back in so everyone is ready for the next chapter.

Brand New Kingdom Hearts III Trailer @ D23 Expo Japan 2018! + New Utada Theme Song!

11 Feb

A brand new Kingdom Hearts III trailer just dropped…and I’ve been trying not to get over-hyped, but…this trailer snatched my soul.

Let me share the trailer with you all so you’ll get the feel of what I’m feeling right now.

Wow. There was so much to take in, I don’t even know where to begin. I’ll try to talk about everything. But at this point, Square, Disney, and Tetsuya Nomura can just take my wallet.

The following review will contain some spoilers. So if you haven’t played all of the in-between games, and you still want to play them, be cautious when reading or just enjoy the trailer above and all the trailers below the article. I can tell you right now that playing all the games are important if you don’t want to be confused playing this new game…Get the HD remixes if you have PS4!

If you want to catch up with the Kingdom Hearts timeline, click this article—> Kingdom Hearts Timeline Completed

Now, let’s talk about this trailer.

First, I want to talk about this long catchphrase or sentence that has become KH3‘s staple: “Don’t Assume Your Dreams Are Just Fantasy. If You Can Imagine a World, Believe In It and Dive In.” I’ve been thinking about this for awhile. I’ve been trying to see how this may relate to KH3, aside from all the sky-diving I keep seeing in the trailer. This catchphrase is longer than “You never know what will happen next” from Kingdom Hearts I. And in that game, we never knew what was going to happen…

Second, more Toy Story. I’m still in awe with how it looks. Read my last article on KH3 to see more. Click the link. Everything looks amazing in that world!

Third, THE RETURN OF MARLUXIA. I thought he was dead! Then again, I don’t know if he fell back into darkness after the organization regained consciousness again. Axel, I mean Lea, is back (as we saw in KH Dream Drop Distance). And just as it was left last, Sora doesn’t remember Marluxia because he has no memory of Castle Oblivion (Chain of Memories).

Fourth, the Monster’s Inc world! It looks fantastic! I’m so excited for this world. Just the way it’s set up is so cool. It looks like we’ll be running from helicopters, sliding down the doors, and fighting tons and tons of heartless, nobodies, unversed, and nightmares! And we have a monster form! Sora’s monster form looks awesome!

And the Dreameaters are back from Dream Drop Distance! I’m fine about that, just don’t bring “drop” mode back. With other people in our party though, how will the Dreameaters play a role? That’d be interesting to see…

Fifth, in the Tangled world, we’re going to be fighting with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider! And there’s an ARIEL (from the Little Mermaid) command move! Maybe a summon? Or it could be like the amusement park and teacup commands we used to see back in the other older trailers. I just hope we don’t return to that world. No hate, but I want to see something new. Though it would be cool to see Atlantica with the Unreal Engine. Maybe they can re-do all the games in the future, like what happened with Crash Bandicoot.

On a positive note, I see some similarities to Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Fragmentary Passage 0.2 when it comes to a lot of the commands. That game got me amped up for this game. Shotlock really got a makeover!

Fourth, it appears Vanitas (from Birth By Sleep) has returned! And yes, we all knew Ventus has been sharing a heart with Sora. That’s why Roxas looked the way he did and why he didn’t really have any memories, unlike the other Nobodies. That’s probably why Sora was able to wield a keyblade even though he wasn’t formally chosen like Riku.

Fifth, my only disappointment-no official release date. But it’s great just being reminded that the game is set to come out some time this year. It may be pushed back, but just having that release window there…it’s comforting to know that it’s coming soon.

Sixth, I’m just now noticing this, but the keyblades change as we enter the new worlds! So does that mean we don’t have to wait to complete a stage to use a keyblade relevant to that world? That would be pretty cool, as long as we can switch keyblades whenever we want. Sometimes, I didn’t like the keyblades specifically chosen for some worlds in older games, as some of them were weaker or didn’t have the best stats. But if we can get new keyblades as we switch worlds, and we can change keyblades when we want, great! And maybe customization will be back from Fragmentary Passage 0.2! It would be awesome if we could customize our keyblades!

Finally, UTADA IS BACK! We were worried for a minute. Remember that article I made about that dilemma? If you don’t, click me. I would like to think that articles like that really helped in pushing for Utada’s return. I’m so happy she decided to make a new song for the game in this saga. I don’t know how I feel about the song overall, as it doesn’t feel like the other songs and we haven’t seen it put together with the opening footage yet. It’s a modern-sounding song and it seems to be the slower version (considering there’s always two versions of her songs in the games). At this point, I’m just glad I’m not going to be hearing Simple and Clean and Sanctuary again. And I’m happy to hear her voice again.

And then that bit with Riku and Mickey at the end of that trailer? Why are they back in the realm of darkness? And what does he mean by “the other me”? Don’t tell me he has a nobody or some other form too! That’s just a theory, don’t quote me. So many questions!

So, those are my thoughts on the trailer and new theme song! What do you readers think about this new trailer? Did you notice anything new that I didn’t notice? Please share your comments with me!

Which Disney Animated Heroine Are YOU? By the Venus Signs (PART 2)

22 Sep

Walt_disney_pictures

Disney is one of the most well-known companies in the world. They have produced some of the most lovable characters through engaging stories that have touched the hearts of people of all backgrounds, nations, genders, and ages. Their animated characters are especially among the world’s favorites.

Disney’s female heroines are distinct among Disney’s vast array of characters. Through the female characters, the history and popularity of Disney is shown. They have produced an array of heroines for young girls to relate to.

This is why I thought it would be interesting to observe the characters in relation to astrology.

The question is, Which character are YOU most like?

How can you tell which one? By observing your Venus sign of course!

These characters would be nothing without the voice actresses that brought them to life. The following characters’ “Venus signs” are chosen based on the actresses’ Venus signs, the people that lent their charm to these characters.

When it comes to astrology, most people know about the Sun signs, often called Zodiac signs. But there are 10 other important planetary signs in astrology, including the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. You probably know these planets as the rulers of certain signs. Really, each of these planets enter all 12 signs of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

If you already know all of this, skip down to Venus in

Where can you find these signs? Not as easily as you can find your Sun signs. You’d have to get your FREE natal chart online.

The following website can help you find your natal chart:

Go to free horoscopes at the top, press horoscope drawings, go to extended chart, press edit data in the small print on the left side. You may need your birth time, which you can get from your birth certificate or a parent, or for now, use 12 noon though this is not recommended. Then press the blue button.

When looking at this chart, you may begin to see all 10 of your signs.

There are also houses and aspects on this chart that make the difference with how your planets are expressed, but I won’t touch too much on that in this article.

This article is focusing on PLANET VENUS.

Of all the 10 planets on the natal wheel, why did I choose Venus?

Well, the Sun usually symbolizes the FATHER. The moon usually symbolizes the MOTHER.

Venus symbolizes the HEROINE, the female hero, how she sees her role in SOCIETY (since Venus often rules over the social scene), or the hero’s charms and likable qualities. These are the things that make Disney as popular as it is.

You may know that Venus is the planet of love, beauty, and pleasure. She is associated with material things, such as money, food, and fashion. But she’s much more than that. She represents our style of doing things and our relationship with the social world. Basically, our social status. For many women, she represents the KIND of woman each woman sees herself as. Whether it be the “tomboy”, the “fashionista”, the “loner”, Venus is there to define us SOCIALLY.

But Venus also rules who or WHAT we are attracted to, including DISNEY CHARACTERS.

Yes, our Venus signs are responsible for the characters we’re attracted to. This article will explore characters that were chosen by certain Venus signs. By observing the characters chosen by these actresses Venus signs, we can better understand which characters FIT with each person’s definition of themselves and their own CHARMS. Something drew them to these characters, and their Venus signs can give us insight as to why this happened.

Venus also rules over our charms and how we get people to like us. The Disney characters all have likable traits, but the voice actresses helped in bringing those charms to life, right? So their Venus signs had a hand in providing this charm.

In this article, you can discover which Disney character best expresses YOUR Venus sign.

This doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to like whatever characters you like. Everyone’s Venus sign means something to them as individuals. Still, it’s interesting to observe how certain characters reflect the charms of the people with certain Venus signs.

Also, you may learn something about yourself through the characters brought to life by a person who shared YOUR Venus sign.

Aspects are those little symbols to the right of the signs: a triangle (TRINE), a figure 8 (OPPOSITION), an asterisk (SEXTILE), mars symbol (CONJUNCT), and a square (SQUARE) are the important symbols. Houses are those 12 divisions, made by black lines, in the middle of that big wheel on the natal chart.

Venus in…

Venus in Libra

Venus in Scorpio

Venus in Sagittarius

Venus in Capricorn

Venus in Aquarius

Venus in Pisces

Venus in Libra

1371562796_libra-money

Our Venus in Libras are the sweethearts of the zodiac! They are typically attractive, well-dressed, and regal. Our Venus in Libras have the strongest sense of justice, fairness, and peace, even more than any Libran placement in the natal chart.

Venus is at home in another one of the signs she rules, Libra. Again, this doesn’t mean that Libra is more charming and more attractive than everyone else is (that would depend on what each person is attracted to according to their OWN Venus), but Venus in Libras would LIKE to be attractive and charming among everyone. Libra is a sign about partnerships. The planet of love works well with a sign that wants to spread that love in a partnership. When Venus is in Libra, her charms shine in social situations. That allows Venus to display her charms even more than usual because now everyone notices it! Venus is the planet of pleasure and no sign wants to please others more than Libra! Libra is sweet, demure, quiet, elegant, and graceful. Venus is a peace-loving planet and finds comfort in this easy-going sign. Venus hates war and aggression, as well as too much action. In Libra, the sign of fairness, justice, and peace, she doesn’t have to worry about any of those things. She feels comfortable in this sign. Still, Libras are not always push-overs and will often fight for fairness and to maintain order and peace.

Venus in Libras are all about equality as well. They really help women become more equal to men and often judge beauty from the inside more often than from the outside. Venus is the planet of beauty, and Libra believes everyone can be beautiful, man or women, no matter the age or background. They make anything seem more attractive!

Of course, our Venus in Libras can be too easy-going. This can often make them lazy. They have active social lives, but when it comes to doing the harsh, practical work, they tend to put off the responsibilities on someone else or try to share these responsibilities.

Libra is an air sign and a cardinal sign. The air makes them communicative and social, but the cardinal makes them a leader. They usually take the lead in social affairs.

Libra is associated with the scales because of their fair and balanced nature.

Libra’s opposite sign is Aries.

fauna-sleeping-beauty

One of our most notorious characters, Fauna the fairy from Sleeping Beauty, is played by a Venus in Libra. Is there any surprise? She is the mediator between her fellow fairies. She’s fair and considerate. She’s a sweetheart. Most of our Libras play the mediator amongst their friends. They hate arguing and confrontation. She is a peacemaker. She’s also more introspective and quieter than the others. She’s the only character in the whole show who considered the possibility that maybe there was some good in Maleficent. Fauna’s solution for stopping Maleficent was to “reason with her”. Our Venus in Libras are reasonable people. They can’t just imagine that people are just “bad” for no reason. Our Venus in Libras are even willing to make peace with their enemies! No wonder this is Venus’s home! Fauna is nice to everyone, and even defended Maleficent when Merryweather threatened to turn her into a hop toad. Our Venus in Libras are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Of course, like Fauna, they can be a little absent-minded and flighty as well.

dot

Princess Dot from A Bug’s Life, is played by a Venus in Libra. She shares the same considerate and kind qualities as Fauna. Of all the ants in the colony, Dot was Flik’s only friend and supporter at one time. She was very considerate of Flik’s ideas and gave him a chance. In fact, she admired him! She was friendly and sweet and always a good friend. In this way, Dot was brave because she didn’t care what anyone thought of Flik and still remained his loyal friend.

kairi

Kairi from the Kingdom Hearts series was played by Hayden Penettiere, the same voice actress who played Dot, and she has Venus in Libra! Kairi is the main female heroine of the game series. Kairi is one of the seven princesses of light. This means she has a pure heart. Our Venus in Libras are quite “pure of heart.” They uphold a strict code of honor and usually believe in being on their best behavior and treating people the “way they want to be treated”. You know, fairness and equality and all that jazz? Venus in Libras firmly believe in that. Kairi is kind-hearted and caring. But Kairi has a brave, outspoken, and tomboyish side to her as well. She’s always hanging out with the boys and she’s not afraid to tell Sora about himself. She’s a bit fragile, but she never lets that stop her. Like most Venus in Libras, they often balance their masculine and feminine sides. They are fiercely protective of the ones they love, just as Kairi was, because again they believe in justice. She is very supportive of her friends. She’s also quiet attractive to the opposite sex. Both Sora and Riku fight for her attention! This is the way Venus likes it. Our Venus in Libras are quite charming, and they often attract many suitors because of their sweet and humble demeanor.

perdita

Of course, as was mentioned before, our Venus in Libra women are quite regal. Perdita from 101 Dalmatians is well-mannered and elegant and she is played by a Venus in Libra. She is sweet and kind, like all the other Venus in Libras, but she’s quite regal. She can be a bit firm when it comes to disciplining her puppies. Venus in Libras, again, believe in having “proper” behavior, and usually don’t like when anyone is rude or coarse. Perdita is quite poised and graceful. Still, trying to be proper takes work, which makes Perdita worrisome. Venus in Libras are quite graceful and how they appear in social situations is important to them. But this makes them worry about every little thing. They should learn to let loose just a bit. They don’t always have to appear perfect in public or be nice and polite to everyone. They should learn to loosen up socially and not be so concerned about others. Like Perdita, Venus in Libras hate conflict, but they always fight to protect the ones they love if they have to.

grandcouncilwoman

Another one of our regal Venus in Libras is the Grand Councilwoman from Lilo and Stitch. Our Venus in Libras are so interested in fairness and justice that they make excellent judges and lawyers. They do well with government. The Grand councilwomen is the leader of the United Galactic Federation. She is known as a just and fair leader. She has a firm presence about herself, and she may seem judgmental, but she is reasonable. The Grand Councilwoman is just like Perdita in the fact that she is fair but firm. She can be strict about keeping order. Our Venus in Libras like balance and harmony. They need a sense of order around them to keep the peace. They don’t like stressful or tense situations, so they tend to be averse to rebellious or radical behavior. She can be quite formal. Still, she is an understanding person. Our Venus in Libras, again, carry a regal presence and uphold a strict order about themselves. It’s a good thing they are reasonable, though. This makes Venus in Libras excellent leaders. In this way, they are truly a cardinal sign. They are wise and fair.

baylene

Our Venus in Libras’ wisdom is one of their most common qualities. Baylene from Dinosaur, played by a Venus in Libra, is an older dinosaur who is kind and wise. Of course, like most Venus in Libras, she is social and does best with people like herself. Baylene felt a sense of loneliness because she was the last of her kind of dinosaur. Our Venus in Libras go throughout life looking for kindred spirits to share their life with, someone who “gets” them. They often feel lonely when they can’t find the right partner or the perfect friends to hang out with. This is really the root as to why they treat people so kindly. They just want friends and to be loved. Still, our Venus in Libras should learn that they have strength as an individual and they should learn to believe in themselves. They also should learn that sometimes some of the best friends they can have may not be exactly like they expect. If they learn this, they may find out that some of their closest friends are right under their noses. Still, our Venus in Libras have a hard time when they are alone. They need friends, family, lovers, or somebody to share their life with.

Iceraprincessfrog1520

Let’s not forget that Libra is a Venusian sign. They love luxury and often wish to live life like a princess. This also adds to their regal presence. But sometimes, this can make them seem a bit spoiled and princess-like. Charlotte La Bouff from Princess in the Frog was played by a Venus in Libra. She’s quite glamorous and is used to being doted upon. Our Venus in Libras are generally humble, but they can be lazy, like our pleasure-loving Venus. Many Venus in Libras are not really into slave labor and would rather live the high social life with a luxurious lifestyle. This can make them a bit superficial and vain. Libra is an air sign, which can make them look at things from a logical point of view. Sometimes, Venus in Libras are often impressed by how things look and often miss things that may not look as good but may be better for them. Venus in Libras never try to center on themselves. When they are acting like divas, it’s because they want to be treated fairly. When they feel they aren’t being treated fairly, they tend to get demanding. Sometimes, their idea of “fair” isn’t always exactly fair. They are known to keep score. They feel if they give in a certain way, they should be given in the same way. Sometimes, people give in their own small ways. Libras should learn to appreciate the little things a person does for them. Still, no matter how vain, superficial, or flighty they are, they still make great friends. Charlotte was very generous and was never selfish when it came to Tiana. Even though it was always Charlotte’s dream to marry a prince, she gave up Naveen so that Tiana could marry her true love. Our Venus in Libras are like that when it comes to their friends. Sometimes, they often give up the people they are in love with so someone else can be happy! It was a very unselfish act. She was happy for her friend and showed no jealousy or hatred because of it. Charlotte befriended Tiana no matter how they differed in social class or race. Our Venus in Libras are superficial when it comes to clothes and status only pertaining to their own life and how they want to live, but they never judge others because of it. They would be wiser to be a little more realistic when it comes to relationships. Venus is at home in Libra, and they are fancifully romantic, loving all the puppy-love moments of love. Sometimes, they are captivated by stories or movies that show the ideal romantic scenario. But life isn’t like the movies or like books. Charlotte had to learn that as well. She had to learn that true love was not finding the perfect handsome prince, but finding someone who she could share her life with, someone who would care for her. Maybe someone who she’d least expected. In this way, Venus in Libras should learn not to miss up the perfect lover that may not seem so perfect. Not every perfect prince is handsome and rich. Some of those knights in shining armor can be the nerdy guy you never given a chance. Pick and choose love practically and wisely. I also want to mention how comical Venus in Libras are. They are social, so they generally know how to draw people in. Humor is just one of those things that can really attract a crowd.

tumblr_m6jn4fZ7fq1ra6yzto1_1280

Of course, I do want to re-emphasize that some Venus in Libras can be too superficial and too luxury-loving. They want to be careful of ending up like Madame Medusa from The Rescuers. Madame Medusa is known to be greedy and obsessed with a lady’s “best friend”: diamonds. Madame Medusa can be intelligent, but she can be flighty as well, giving her a comical nature. Of course, our Venus in Libras are good at the art of manipulation as well. Like Medusa, when they really want something, they are good at seducing others to achieve their aims. They must be careful not to use their charms to get their way. They must also learn to be content with the simple things in life, even if those things aren’t luxurious.

Not all of our Venus in Libras are flighty and luxury-loving. There are plenty of Venus in Libras that are content with what they have and plenty of Venus in Libras are superbly intelligent. Peach from Finding Nemo was smart and wise. She was one of the only sea creatures in the tank that could understand the human language. Libra is an air sign after all, so communication is their specialty. She’s also kind and caring, making sure that Nemo is safe in the movie. Venus in Libras are wise and they think things through. This helps them give the right advice to protect the ones they love.

tumblr_nbns8pDJ8e1rp9esco3_1280

Not all of our Venus in Libra women are superficial. Audrey Ramirez from Atlantis the Lost Empire was more of our tomboyish characters played by one of our Venus in Libras, like Kairi. She’s like our strong Venus in Libras who balance their feminine sides and their masculine sides. Many of our Venus in Libra women identify themselves as feminists. They believe in equality. Audrey’s father wanted sons to help him work in his shop as a mechanic and at least one of his sons to be a boxing champion. Instead, he had two daughters. Neither daughter let their gender stop them. Audrey learned to work with mechanical machinery and her sister became a boxing champion. Venus loves this sign, the sign that brings peace among the genders!

Venus in Scorpio

1371562824_scorpio-money

Our Venus in Scorpios are the world’s truest rebels! When observing Venus in Scorpio characters, it’s clear to see that Venus in Scorpios are different from others. They aren’t afraid to stand out and go against the norm. Venus in Scorpios are the least superficial sign Venus has ever entered. Never judge a Venus in Scorpio by their appearance! Still, trusting a Venus in Scorpio entirely can be foolish. It’s seems they are a bit attracted to the dark side…

Venus enters another detrimental sign when she moves into Scorpio. This means Venus is also uncomfortable in this sign. Does this mean the people with this placement are cursed? Does this mean they aren’t lovable, charming, or attractive? Not really. It is rather the kind of charm, love, and affection they show that makes them different from Venus’s preferred style. Venus cares a lot about what other people think. She really needs to be loved all the time. Scorpio needs love as much as the next person, but Scorpio is not desperate to be liked by everyone. Scorpio rather is a loner and tends to have a love-hate relationship with people. They often feel like outcasts. It’s not that Venus in Scorpios want to hate people. But they love so hard, so deeply, that when that trust is lost, they feel they can’t trust anyone anymore. Still, they do want friends and romantic affairs at times. They love deeply and want friends that back them up 100%. They can’t take superficial or insincere people. They can’t tolerate flaky friends who don’t follow through. They need friends that will do anything for them, with the ultimate loyalty. Sometimes, Scorpio seems controlling in this way.

When Venus enters Scorpio, love-life becomes emotionally dramatic, if she has a love life at all! Most of our Disney characters portrayed by Venus in Scorpios don’t have lovers! Her charms are no longer focused on her appearance. Her friendships are everything but shallow. Venus is rather subtle and light, but in Scorpio…well, sometimes, she feels so overwhelmed with the emotions. Scorpio brings drama to the peace-loving Venus, and that makes her feel uneasy, but also gives her relationships and charms more depth.

Venus is a planet of peace. Scorpio is so focused on empowering themselves, they often cause a raucous to transform the way things are. Scorpio is about making a difference and achieving ultimate peace, on a deeper level. Venus is mostly concerned about superficial peace: “Just ignore the problems, and they’ll go away,” is Venus’s motto. When Venus comes face to face with Scorpio, however, that’s not going to happen.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto and co-ruled by Mars. Mars can enter any of the 12 signs of the zodiac. Pluto is a generational planet. Its affects can be felt for 13 years or more. Basically, it can stay in one sign for a very long time before it enters another sign, for a decade or more even. For instance, Pluto was in Cancer during the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, and even WWII! That whole group of people was from the same generational influence. It’s important to check out the ruling planet’s signs for a clearer depiction. Their Mars and Pluto signs will influence their Venus in Scorpio’s expression.

Mars is the planet of war and Pluto is the planet of power. You do the math. What can war do to the mind? Make a person assertive, courageous, daring, wild, and tough. Mars can also make a person extremely sexy. What can power do to a person? Clearly, they will be powerful, in control, dominant, and commanding. These people mean business.

If Mars is in Aries, Scorpio, or Capricorn, some Venus in Scorpio qualities will be evident right away. If Pluto is in Scorpio or Leo, other Venus in Scorpio qualities will be evident right away. If Mars is in Taurus, Cancer, or Libra, the Scorpion qualities will be less evident. If Pluto is in Taurus and some say Aquarius, then Scorpio qualities will also be less evident.

Scorpio is a water sign and a fixed sign. This makes them both emotional and rooted. When they feel a certain way, their feelings are so deep; it’s hard for them to change it.

Scorpio is associated with the Scorpion because the stinger symbolizes their ability to pierce through the surface of things.

Scorpio’s opposite sign is Taurus.

I want to begin by re-emphasizing the fact that Venus in Scorpios really don’t like superficiality. No, I mean it, they really don’t. This is one reason why Venus and Scorpio clash so much. Venus is, well, very superficial. She cares how she appears to others and, though she is reasonable, she prefers pretty people to unpleasant-looking people. When Venus enters Scorpio, however, she learns not to always judge how great things are from the outside, but learns to appreciate the layered individuals people are on the inside. She learns to really get to know people really well. She learns not to like people just because they are “nice”, but because they each have something inside of themselves that is special. If we really get to know people on a deep level, we will definitely find things about each person we’ve never known before. That pretty, prefect girl we knew in school could’ve been abused and an orphan. That nerdy guy who seems obsessed with anime could be a billionaire. Maybe he also likes surfing and basketball…When we get to know people on a deeper level, we recognize that there is so much more to people than from what is visually obvious. This is why Venus must enter Scorpio. She may not like it here (It is a very serious and intense placement), but she will greatly benefit from it.

1226356737127_f

Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is an example of Venus benefiting from Scorpio. Yes, she is played by an actress with Venus in Scorpio! Esmeralda exuded all of the Venus in Scorpio qualities. She is strong and powerful. She was different from everyone else in Paris. She was a part of a marginalized group of people at the time, the Romani Gypsies. Scorpios definitely focus on the underdogs. They believe there is a charm with those who are ignored. Beauty is definitely different for them than for everybody else! Esmeralda was determined to empower her people and fight the “system” in any way she could. Like most Mars-ruled signs, she was courageous enough to stand up for her beliefs, even when she was standing up against some truly powerful people! She risked her life. The most memorable part of her character was her friendship with Quasi Modo. Unlike other people in Paris, Esmeralda didn’t treat him like a monster. She saw him as a kind person and with beauty that was skin-deep. Frollo was the monster to her. She certainly looked beyond looks when it came to making friends. Though she did fall in love with the handsome Phoebus, it wasn’t just because he was handsome. She saw that he was “different” from the other soldiers in the fact that was kind and understanding. Esmeralda was quite beautiful herself and extremely seductive. Three men were fighting to have her in the movie! Our Venus in Scorpios have a strong, animal magnetism. They have strong seductive powers. This makes them sexy. It is hard for many people to resist them. Scorpios aren’t afraid of their sexuality. They are so bold, and yet, so mysterious. Not many people knew much about Esmeralda’s past or where she lived. And yet, Esmeralda wasn’t just a pretty face. Many scenes show her talking to God and caring for the down-trodden. She was definitely a layered individual, and she saw the layers in others.

Chicken Little

Abby Mallard from Chicken Little may not be the “beauty” that Esmeralda is. Venus may not be okay with that. Abby is often called the “ugly duckling”. It’s no wonder a Venus in Scorpio was attracted to this role. While other Venus signs may have overlooked this role for more glamorous roles, a Venus in Scorpio voice actress saw the beauty in her. There is a lot more to Abby than meets the eye. Abby may have a speech impediment and may not look like what is expected of most “swans”. Still, Abby never lets the teasing of the other kids get her down. She remains strong and optimistic, despite what others say. Abby is not your typical love interest. She is tomboyish and a little quirky, but she’s a loyal friend who supported Chicken Little despite his reputation in the neighborhood.

Vanellopetreeforest

The role of Vanellope Von Schweetz from Wreck-it-Ralph also teaches viewers not to judge a book by its cover. And yes, a Venus in Scorpio voice actress brought her to life! Vanellope is the main character of her game Sugar Rush, but for the longest time she thought she was a glitch. Thus, she was treated like an outcast. No one would’ve ever expected that she was the REAL main character, and a princess at that! She certainly wasn’t your typical princess. Vanellope was tomboyish and spunky, definitely not graceful like what is usually expected of a princess. She didn’t walk around in a ball gown; she wore jeans and a hoodie! Venus in Scorpios often re-define roles. They are never what you’d expect. Despite what others in the game saw in her, she proved to be more important to the other players than they expected. There is so much more to Venus in Scorpios than meets the eye.

Grandmother-fa-and-cri-kee

Our Venus in Scorpios are quite feisty and spunky, no matter the ethnic background or age. Grandmother Fa from Mulan was different from women in her time and village. Perhaps Mulan got her feistiness from her grandmother. Grandmother Fa wasn’t ever afraid to speak her mind, despite the supposed “woman’s place”. Even when Mulan was in front of the matchmakers, Grandmother Fa didn’t take it too seriously. And Grandmother Fa may have been old, but she knew a handsome man when she saw one! She was attracted to Shang and even offered to sign up for the next war in China!   Though she often teased Mulan for being a little reckless, she really cared about her. She prayed to the ancestors to protect Mulan. There really is a lot to Grandmother Fa than what meets the eye.

Ellie-Mae

Ellie Mae from The Rescuers is another character with strong feistiness. She was courageous and brave to stand up to Madame Medusa. She helped save a little girl’s life, even though Madame Medusa had a gun and was shooting at her!

11276569

Jessie the Yodeling cowgirl carries the same feisty streak. Jessie, unlike the other characters in Toy Story, was strong-willed. Like most Venus in Scorpios, she knew how it felt to be an outcast. Her original owner, Emily grew up and threw her aside. Jessie also recognized that people were no longer interested in Woody’s Roundup. Children had replaced their fascination with cowboy toys with space toys. In this way, she had a pretty sad past. Still, she remained energetic and strong.

1401336250408.jpg-620x349

Of course, a bolt load of our Venus in Scorpios have a strong dark side to them. Being ruled by the planet of the Underworld, Pluto, Venus in Scorpios have two sides to them; One side is strong-willed and a good leader, the other is dark, sinister, and vengeful. This power can be used for good or evil. Venus in Scorpios must be careful of being drawn into this extremely dark area. Venus in Scorpio’s need for revenge is very strong. When you mess with them, they can be ruthless when vindicating themselves. The Mistress of all evil was played by a Venus in Scorpio. We all know who that was. Maleficent! Maleficent from the original Sleeping Beauty was always quite the loner. She was not a socialite and actually hated parties. Still, she was offended when she wasn’t invited to Princess Aurora’s christening. Our Venus in Scorpios can be that way. Many times they hate superficial parties, but they don’t like deliberately being left out of one either. Maleficent was told by Merryweather that “she wasn’t wanted.” Most of our Venus in Scorpios are often treated like outcasts. Some try to fight oppressive systems, like Esmeralda did. Others…Well, get revenge. Maleficent cast a spell on Aurora that would kill her on her 16th birthday. We don’t know if Maleficent was evil before casting a spell on Aurora, but we can clearly see that sometimes she abuses her power. When we observe how she treats her minions, we see she doesn’t have much mercy in that regard. It’s clear, though, that this “evil” streak has become Maleficent’s charm! She became a favorite of many Disney fans and has gathered a cult following. Leave it to a Venus in Scorpio to make bad look good! Perhaps it’s because, maybe, fans can see her side of the story. I mean, she was the one not invited to the christening, after all. Venus in Scorpios have very unique tastes. We can see this in the way Maleficent “decorates” her castle. It’s quite dark and isolated, which fits a loner such as herself.

ebd5530acbc992e3b42b3f89ceebbc73

Queen Narissa from Enchanted takes after Maleficent and is also played by a Venus in Scorpio. She carries the same traits that Maleficent does. Though she isn’t animated the whole movie, when she was animated, she was evil! Queen Narissa ruled over Andalasia. She was always worried about losing her power once her step-son married and became king. Our Venus in Scorpios attract power to them, but again, they must be careful of abusing this power. Sometimes, they are so possessive of this power, they will stop at nothing to keep it. Venus in Scorpios should learn to be a little more objective. Sometimes, if they look beyond their own desires, they may be able to better understand people who aren’t like them. They need to allow other people to follow their dreams, even if those dreams may seem to interfere with their plans. Their life lesson is usually one of letting things go.

Lady-Tremaine-lady-tremaine-12215868-640-480

Some other villains were brought to life by Venus in Scorpios. Lady Tremaine from Cinderella had the same voice actress as Maleficent. In her case, she was bitter and jealous of Cinderella. What most people recognize about Lady Tremaine is that she treated Cinderella harshly. She made Cinderella work and serve the household. She was controlling and abused her authority. Venus in Scorpios, again, need to learn to let go of things once in a while. You may wonder why she acted this way towards Cinderella. Well, Lady Tremaine was quite jealous of Cinderella’s relationship with her father and probably resentful of Cinderella’s former life with her mother. Our Venus in Scorpios are known to have jealous and possessive streaks. They don’t like to share lovers with anyone. More than likely, she didn’t like that her new husband had a wife before her! Lady Tremaine revealed the ruthless side to Venus in Scorpios. Many times, because they feel like the outcasts, they tend to bully others and try to make them feel that way, too. It’s not the best way to combat jealous feelings, but it was Lady Tremaine’s way of empowering herself. She was also jealous of Cinderella’s beauty. Her daughters weren’t very attractive and so she hated Cinderella for “upstaging” her daughters. Venus in Scorpios can be so fiercely protective and loyal, they will loathe anyone who even “seems” to hurt the people they love, even it’s just because you look better! Venus in Scorpios also often loathe the pretty and popular people as well.

download

Contrary to most descriptions of Venus in Scorpio, there are some Venus in Scorpios who are vain, conceited, and think too much about their appearances. A Venus in Scorpio portrayed Georgette from Oliver and Company. She generally thinks entirely too much of herself. Though she shows no great emotional attachment to her family, she doesn’t like when Oliver starts getting more attention than she does from Jenny. She was a prize-winning doll with her own room. She was used to being pampered, spoiled, and used to other male dogs basking in her presence. It’s true that our Venus in Scorpios have a magnetic appearance, but let’s remember some humility along the way, okay? While some of our Venus in Scorpios are good at being humble, many of our Venus in Scorpios, again, can’t handle their magnetic powers. It’s always good for them to keep a friend around that can bring them down to earth, though they tend to be loners. Venus in Scorpios can be so focused on power and keeping that power, they forget they are not the center of the universe. Please be mindful of this tendency. They also must be careful of being possessive of things they assume they “own”. That includes people, places, and things…This can make them over-dominating and selfish. Still, like all Venus in Scorpios, you can’t judge them from first meeting. Though Georgette seemed spoiled in the beginning, she turned out to be a nice and helpful little companion to Oliver. It would be wise that they stay with the right people.

Venus in Sagittarius

1371562850_sagittarius-money

After reviewing all the characters played by Venus in Sagittariuses, I’ve noticed that they are hilarious! But they have one of the strongest senses of heroism. Venus in Sags’ main reason for leaning towards heroism is because they really want to do something that is “larger than life”. They really want to do something important in the world.

Adventures were made for them! And they are tough, too. They are certainly not push-overs. They are quite independent. You won’t find too many of these characters with handsome princes holding them down!

They have a fascination with foreign cultures and lands. In this sense, there is always an opportunity for them to expand. They tend to be proud and good at what they do. In this way, they can give great advice. But they are also reflective. They think about and ponder over things. They always start with the “woman in the mirror”.

The most important thing about them is that experience ALWAYS helps them grow into more attractive individuals. Venus in Sags may not seem to see their potential in the present, but after experiencing life, their charms begin to show in the most positive ways. Their charms are never-ending. Every new experience adds to their charms.

Venus doesn’t feel the most comfortable in the fire sign of Sagittarius, but she has some things in common with the sign. For starters, Sagittarius is ruled by a greater “benefic” or positive planet. Venus is a benefic planet. Sagittariuses like to live the fine life, and Venus loves pleasure. Sagittariuses have a strong sense of morality and they believe in fairness. Venus also has a strong sense of fairness and justice because she wants peace and love. Both Venus and Sagittariuses care a lot about their appearances.

But there are differences. Sagittarius is freedom-loving, independent, and adventurous. Venus is quiet and prefers to be around people so she can express everything she stands for: love. Sagittarius, like all the other fire signs, is a leader. Venus prefers to take a back seat or to accommodate. Sagittarius can never take a back seat. Sagittarius can be dramatic, loud, and blunt. Venus covers everything with tact and grace.  Sagittariuses can be rugged; Venus is refined.

When Venus enters Sagittarius, she begins to see the good in herself and to love life! She begins to want to experience the “fullness” of love and relationships! She wants to indulge in pleasures! She wants to experience the best that life has to offer. She begins to find greater meaning to the words “Love and Pleasure” and not just your usual everyday thinking on it. She begins to want to explore love, beauty, and pleasure.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the greater benefic planet. Jupiter is the planet of luck, expansion, and beliefs. When someone feels lucky, it makes them positive about life. It can also make them take chances other people would otherwise miss up. When someone expands their minds, they become much more broad-minded than everyone else. They end up experiencing things others don’t. What can beliefs do to a person? Well, it can make them strongly opinionated and preachy. But it also gives them meaning and purpose in life.

Jupiter can enter into any of the 12 signs of the zodiac. It’s a social planet, so it can travel through one sign for a year or more. It’s important to observe Venus in Sagittariuses’ Jupiter signs for a clearer picture. Their Jupiter signs will influence their Venus in Sagittarius’s expression.

If Jupiter is in Sagittarius, Pisces, or Cancer, Venus in Sagittarius qualities will be apparent right away. If Jupiter is in Gemini, Virgo, or Capricorn, Jupiter qualities will be less evident.

Sagittarius is a fire sign and a mutable sign. This makes them adventurous leaders who surge ahead but never stay tied to anything.

Sagittarius is associated with the Centaur because of their human side clashing with their wild, freedom-loving sides.

Mulan

One of our most popular characters brought to life by a Venus in Sagittarius was Mulan. Our Venus in Sagittariuses are attracted to foreign lands and cultures. They are fascinated by ancient stories of adventure! Mulan’s story is certainly exciting. Like most Sagittariuses, Mulan wanted to find her purpose in life. Many Venus in Sagittariuses reflect on “higher minded” things such as that. They truly want to know their spiritual calling in life. Speaking of spiritual, it’s not unusual that one of Mulan’s best friends WAS a spiritual creature! Venus rules over our associations and friends, so some Venus in Sagittariuses may have close friends that reflect their beliefs in some way or friends who join them on their wild adventures.

Mulan wasn’t like the other people around her. She was honest with herself. She wasn’t a “perfect bride”. But Mulan found her purpose. She was strongly against her father joining the army because of his age and other injuries he’d gotten from another war. Mulan was strong about her beliefs. She was blunt and outspoken about it. Of course, sometimes, Venus in Sagittariuses don’t know their place, like Mulan. They often speak without thinking about the feelings of those they’re talking to. Still, she took action. She took her father’s place in the army. This was pretty brave and heroic of her! She was willing to experience a whole new kind of life: the life of a soldier. This experience shaped Mulan and made her into the person she became. Sagittariuses learn and grow through experiences. These adventures aren’t just passing frenzies for them. These adventures are a part of their education on life. Throughout it all, Mulan learned something about herself. She learned that she was someone who wanted to protect her family and her homeland. She learned she was a hero. And through it all, Mulan found out that she could be the perfect bride to someone. Venus is the planet of love. Interestingly enough, Venus in Sagittariuses like relationships with people they can learn from or learn with. Mulan fell in love with her mentor and trainer, Shang. Mulan had been through a lot with him. Her experiences with him made her love for him grow stronger. Her experiences made her more attractive to Shang as well! This happens often with Venus in Sagittariuses. When they learn and grow as people, they continue to get more and more attractive! Mulan had some serious moments, but she was funny, too. Her interpretation of a “manly soldier” was definitely humorous!

Violet-Parr-the-incredibles-33768792-500-750

Violet Parr from The Incredibles is a lot like Mulan. She didn’t always fit in either. But underneath it all, Violet was a super hero. Again, our Venus in Sagittariuses are always attracted to heroic types. Violet had an ability that most teens didn’t have: invisibility. It’s hard enough being noticed as a teen, right? Violet may seem the opposite of optimistic sometimes (this has a lot to do with her ruling planet Jupiter’s sign). They don’t want to be sad all the time, but sometimes, Sagittariuses seem grouchy and withdrawn, despite their reputation for being positive all the time. Why? Well, sometimes they feel trapped and that makes them unhappy. They may be positive about the future and they may have a zest for life, but if they can’t live their life the way they want to, they often feel trapped. Mulan had the same problem. Violet wanted more freedom from responsibilities. She wanted to be noticed by her crush. She WANTED more confidence. She WANTED to explore her abilities and to express herself openly. She wanted more than a mundane, boring life. Her family prohibited her from using this power openly, and this made her withdraw from life and lose confidence in herself. But like most Venus in Sags, she found her true purpose in life. Violet grew as a person from the experiences she had. Her Jupiter sign supplied the “kind” of experience, but these experiences benefited her Venus in Sag and helped her be a more attractive person nonetheless. Venus, again, is the planet of attraction. Violet’s charms blossomed when she was able to free herself from family restrictions and when she was able to be herself. She became a more positive and confident person. After helping to save the world, who wouldn’t be? Violet always had a sharp sense of humor, but that humor blossomed, along with her personality, with more experiences in the world. Her world became so much broader than “high school”.

hotr16

We’ve had other heroic Venus in Sagittariuses. I want to emphasize that this sense of heroism comes from their ability to “tough” things out. It really seems like it’s their duty to help save things, and they won’t let anyone stop them. Maggie from Home on the Range was brought to life by a Venus in Sag. She was one tough cow! I do want to mention that sometimes our Venus in Sag’s love of “the finest things in life” and their amazing lucky streaks can make them proud and a little vain. They must be careful not to be over-confident and too reliant on their good fortune. Maggie was a prize-winning show cow who was forced to move to a small farm. She had a hard time showing humility and following the lead cow on her new farm. Still, she had a heroic streak. When she learned that her new owner was going to have to sell her farm, she thought of a plan to save it! Maggie used her prize-winning abilities to help save her new farm. Maggie was quite the leader. Some of her greatest charms were being fun and funny! She livened up her new farm. It was very easy for her to win the hearts of the other farm animals. Our Venus in Sags are like that.

Normal_DisneyEnchantedPDVD_109

Mrs. Calloway, Maggie’s rival from Home on the Range, was also brought to life by a Venus in Sag. She was another tough cow. Mrs. Calloway also helped save the farm. Our Venus in Sags are certainly heroic! Mrs. Calloway was the lead cow on their farm. As a fire sign, it’s not uncommon to find them in leadership positions. Mrs. Calloway spoke her mind which was why she clashed with the equally outspoken Maggie. Sometimes, this got them into fights. Venus in Sags must be careful of being too blunt. But you can always count on Venus in Sags to speak out about something they feel is unfair or at least use that bravery to capture “bad guys”, as Mrs. Calloway did. Mrs. Calloway may have been outspoken, but she was very good at guiding her farm and giving good advice.

Rita_(Oliver_and_Company)

Our Venus in Sags tend to be good at giving good advice. They may not always have book knowledge, but they always have “street knowledge”. Rita from Oliver and Company could guide Oliver on the streets from experience alone. She was an expert, like most of our Venus in Sags. She helped her gang stay positive and encouraged them to keep their dreams alive. In this way, she acted as a good teacher and mentor to Oliver. Our Venus in Sags would make great teachers! They are broad-minded. Living on the streets made Rita tougher. Again, our Venus in Sags are no punks. She was the only female in Dodger’s gang and often had to fend off some mean street dogs. Venus in Sags are no strangers to toughening it out in situations. I think this is why they seems so optimistic and positive. They never let anything stop them or hold them down. And like most of our Venus in Sags, Rita was DEFINITELY funny.

Wp1_bopeep_ts_1024x768

Bo Peep from Toy Story was also good at giving advice. Though Bo Peep was generally cool and kind, she never hesitated to speak her mind. Still, she always boosted Woody’s confidence when he needed. Venus in Sags are very good at boosting others’ confidence because they are generally positive.

mrs. potts

Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast was the same way. Our Venus in Sags must have an affinity for porclein. Mrs. Potts was generally positive and saw the good in the Beast. She was very wise. Though she was kind and caring, like most Venus in Sags, she was not afraid to speak her mind, even to the Beast, the Prince of the castle! Mrs. Potts showed that she was very understanding. Venus in Sags are generally broad-minded and tend to understand things most people ignore.

Iridessa_from_Tinkerbell_and_the_Lost_Treasure

Iridessa from the Tinkerbell series also adds to our list of heroic Venus in Sags. And she’s played by one of the queens of comedy, Raven Symone! So we know that one of Iridessa’s charms is her humor! Iridessa is a light fairy. That role is very suitable for our Venus in Sagittarius’s optimism and positivity. They often see themselves as “enlightened”. They see themselves as people who “light the way” for others with their ideas. And they do tend to be the brightest light in every room they go in. They have such extravagant personalities and such infectious laughs; people can’t help but notice them! Iridessa likes to look at the positive side of things, even if she is a bit of a worry-wart. She may not be the bravest of all the fairies, but she’s always faithful to her friends. Venus in Sags find friendship to be very important. In fact, they tend to put their friends on a pedestal. Iridessa’s brave streak always comes out when she’s trying to help Tinkerbell.

Mothers-Day-Emperors-New-Groove-Chicha

I can’t emphasize enough the humor of Venus in Sagittariuses. It’s seriously one of their greatest charms! Chicha, the wife of Pacha, from The Emperor’s New Groove was played by a Venus in Sagittarius. She’s definitely one funny woman! Her sarcasm and wit is second-to-none. She’s quite clever. But just because she’s funny, and pregnant throughout the movie, doesn’t mean she’s a push-over. Chicha definitely proved how tough and smart she was when Yzma visited her home, pretending to be a family member. Our Venus in Sags are not people to mess with!

Shenzi-35

Yes, our Venus in Sags’ charm is their humor, but they should be careful of becoming cynical and cackling “Hyenas”. Being blunt isn’t always attractive. Shenzi, the lead Hyena from The Lion King, played by the Venus in Sag Whoopi Goldberg, is definitely funny, but she hides bad intentions behind her humor. She’s a good leader, but she didn’t always lead the other weaker minded hyenas down the right path. She only really wanted to better provide for her clan of Hyenas. Luckily, towards the end of the movie, she recollected herself and stood up to Scar, the main villain of the story. She was always outspoken. When used correctly, she was able to tell Scar the situation of the Hyenas under his rulership. Again, our Venus in Sags are tough, but they should be careful they don’t become bullies while standing up for what they believe in. They tend to want what they want, when they want it. They should be careful that they consider other people when they make plans.

SW_Queen

Our Venus in Sags are “reflective” but they should be careful not to spend too much time looking at themselves in a mirror. The Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was brought to life by a Venus in Sag. You can look in the mirror like Mulan to find out who you are on the inside, or look in the mirror only to see your superficial reflection. Our Venus in Sags are sometimes known to be vain. Many Venus in Sags have a tendency to over-exaggerate things. So when they look good in ANY way, some of them tend to over-do it a bit. They do love attention to their appearance. They want to feel good about themselves. They want the best in life, and that often includes having the best appearance. Still, they should learn that being beautiful is not being physically better than others. Really, this need to be better than others stems from a deep insecurity. Venus in Sags should recognize this insecurity whenever they feel the need to only focus on their appearances or on anything else they feel will make them superior. Many Venus in Sags often feel less attractive than others. Perhaps they have been made to feel inferior physically. Because Sag does rule “bigger and better”, many Venus in Sags tend to have a little more weight than others. They love to indulge in their senses! But they generally tend to look better with weight than without it! Sometimes, though, this can make them feel insecure. In The Evil Queen’s case, she was jealous of Snow White’s beauty because she was probably getting older and felt insecure. This happens. But the Queen was so caught up in outer appearances that she missed why Snow White was considered so beautiful. It wasn’t just because she had a pretty physical appearance. It was also because Snow White was a pleasant person on the inside. Venus in Sags should work on developing their characters, like they usually do, because that is when they truly blossom into beautiful people. The appearance is important to a certain degree, but it shouldn’t be the only asset a person has. If you over-emphasize what you look like, there won’t be any time to develop amazing qualities to go with those gorgeous looks. Vanity just doesn’t come in the form of physical appearances either. It can also come in the form of material possessions and even successes. It’s great to be successful and wealthy, but don’t lose your sense of humility along the way. This is when your insecurities will show more.

Venus in Capricorn

1371562878_capricorn-money

There aren’t that many Venus in Capricorn female voice actresses in the Disney animated universe. Many of them are too busy helping to bring the live-action stories to life! This tells us a lot about Venus in Capricorns: They are really realistic. They are a little more mature than all the other Venus signs and their charming expressions extend beyond fairy tales and into the real world. Still, there are some Venus in Capricorns that have graced the screens of an animated movie.

Believe it or not, their biggest quality is that they are some of the kindest and most sympathetic people ever. This is because they are thoughtful and careful. They never jump to conclusions about people and they never assume they know a person. They really care about others and are always there to help people. However, they are quite the loners. You won’t see them with too many friends and definitely not any love interests. They are quite the independent sorts. But they make the best friends you could ever have. They look at “love” as a responsibility and they take it seriously.

When observing their characters, it’s clear to see they are very wise and mature. Even their youngest characters carry a sense of maturity. Ironically, most of the characters played by a Venus in Capricorn were children! Perhaps Venus in Capricorns have a certain connection with bringing young children to life. They seem to connect well with children and seem to seek to inspire them. The often play children with real child-like problems that relate to the real world.

Their best quality is that they remain cooler than most people. At their worst, they can be demanding.

Venus is not the most comfortable in Capricorn, but she has some things in common with this sign. Venus has triplicity in the earth signs. Venus believes in love. Capricorn is not a love-oriented sign, but when dealing with people, they are loyal and dependable. They never commit to anything unless they are ready. Venus loves luxury and pleasures. Capricorn is a sign that loves prestige and luxury as well. Venus is social; Capricorn is concerned about their public image and social status. Venus is soft and subtle; Capricorn isn’t loud and they are generally cool.

Still, there are differences. Again, Venus is soft. Capricorn can be hard. Venus is warm and affectionate; Capricorn prefers to show interest through devotion and commitment. Venus can be dependent because she’s lazy. Capricorn is definitely hard-working and they prefer to get things for themselves. It makes Capricorn feel guilty when it’s dependent. Venus isn’t anything like Mars; Mars is exalted in Capricorn.

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. Saturn is the planet of boundaries, limitations, restrictions, and law. Boundaries, Limitations, restrictions, and law all sound really limited, right? Capricorns often show a sense of reserve as a result. It always seems like someone or something is holding them back. Still, many of them put these boundaries on themselves. So, they often seem more mature than others. There are just certain things Capricorns won’t do. They decide most everything on their own terms. This makes them appear like they are in control. The Saturn signs of Venus in Capricorns will influence how their Venus qualities are expressed.

Saturn can enter into any of the 12 zodiac signs, but it’s a social planet. It stays within one sign for a year or more at times.

If Saturn is in Capricorn, Aquarius, or Libra, Venus in Capricorn qualities will be apparent right away. If Saturn is in Cancer, Leo, or Aries, Venus in Capricorn qualities won’t be as obvious.

Capricorn is an earth sign and a cardinal sign. They are leaders, but they only take the lead when it comes to the real world. They would rather be real role models instead of following a dream.

Capricorn is associated with the goat. This is because goats always looked old with their beards and because goats are known for climbing. Capricorns are known to want to climb high in life. They also always carry a sense of age because they focus on their careers early in life.

Our Venus in Capricorn characters are few, but amazing.

silvermist-silvermist-35136953-1024-768

Silvermist, the water fairy from the Tinkerbell series, was brought to life by a Venus in Capricorn. She’s definitely the definition of cool. That’s why she wears blue! Venus in Capricorns always seem cool. Being ruled by the planet Saturn, they feel there is a limit to everything, including dramatic displays. They never get worked up over things. Silvermist is more mature than some of the other fairies, though, ironically, she’s the youngest (next to Tinkerbell). It’s natural for Capricorns to seem more mature when they’re younger. As they get older, they seem younger. Silvermist is graceful and patient. Again, our Venus in Capricorns are ruled by Saturn. They tend to be careful, even when walking! This makes them really graceful and poised. Our Venus in Capricorns remain calm in any situation. They are an earth sign after all! They are truly down-to-earth, just like Silvermist. Silvermist doesn’t usually fly off the handle when her friend Tinkerbell causes mischief. She always understands Tinkerbell. She’s a good listener and she’s always ready to give advice. Our Venus in Capricorns fancy themselves wise, so many of them like to give advice to their friends. Most importantly, Silvermist has a strong sense of loyalty. Venus in Capricorn’s best quality is their devotion to those they love. They see love almost as a responsibility. They believe that when they love someone, there are certain commitments they have to live up to. Despite Venus in Capricorn’s reputation for being “cold”, Silvermist is kind and sympathetic.

Mama-Odie

Speaking of mature, Mama Odie from the Princess and the Frog was also brought to life by a Venus in Capricorn. Mama Odie is a blind old woman, but a wise old woman. She’s a bit of a hermit. It’s true. Our Venus in Capricorns are mostly loners. Venus in Capricorns don’t mingle with too many people. Mama Odie was a voodoo lady of sorts. She didn’t have many friends, but she still observed and watched over things. She could see things that Tiana and Naveen could not see. She reminded them to “dig deeper”. Venus in Capricorn is the deepest of the earth signs, being the last of the earth signs. Their careful nature makes them think before they do anything. This makes them think deeper than most. Of course, they can be demanding. Mama Odie is used to bossing her snake Juju around.

Cars-2-holley-shiftwell-posing-1

Our Venus in Capricorns are quite sleek and professional along with their mature qualities. Holly Shiftwell from Cars 2 showed this. She was a female spy car. She was educated, sharp, and superbly intelligent. Our Venus in Capricorns are so smart, they can take on any profession, even one as daring and tricky as spy work. She didn’t even have much experience, but she was still a top-dog spy. Venus in Capricorns are experts at whatever fields they take on. They are also not someone to mess with. holly Shiftwell kept her weapons close by. Venus in Capricorns always keep their defenses up, so don’t even try to play games with them! But she’s probably one of the few Venus in Capricorns with a love interest. She could take care of herself, but having a humble guy like Mater around isn’t too bad either.

Penny_(Bolt)

A great number of Venus in Capricorns act as children. But these children aren’t quite that ordinary. Many of them are very mature for their age. Penny from Bolt worked as a famous actress at a very early age. That’s a lot to take on for a child! Early in life, at age 13, she was employed and learned how to deal with real-world issues. She played an ordinary girl in these movies. Most Venus in Capricorns are “real” kind of people. They are very down-to-earth and they aren’t extremely fanciful. They would rather inspire people to do real things. They would rather be real role models. In this way, it’s easy for them to relate to many people. Though Penny was pretty ordinary, she was really kind and caring, just like many of our other Venus in Capricorns. At times, it may have seemed to Bolt that she didn’t really care about him. Though Penny loved Bolt, she had to briefly replace him in the movie she was acting in after he ran away. This wasn’t because she didn’t care about him. Penny did what she thought would be best for everyone. Still, a misunderstanding did occur and this often happens with Venus in Capricorns. Venus in Capricorns often seem to move on from lovers and friendships much easier than others. Sometimes, this can make Venus in Capricorns seem colder than they really are. They do know how to set aside their feelings for the well-being of others. But this doesn’t mean they’ll replace those they love in their hearts and this doesn’t mean they don’t care. In this way, they are often misunderstood. Really, Venus in Capricorns could be hurting on the inside deeply. They just try to pretend that everything is alright. They always try to remain strong and let others have their space. But they will fight as hard as they can for someone they love; just as long as they know the fight will be worth it in the end. Penny didn’t have that many friends though. Again, our Venus in Capricorns are quite the loners. They spend most of their time consumed in their goals. They would do better if they opened up to new people a little more.

Penny-and-Teddy2

It seems that Penny is a popular name among Venus in Capricorns. I think because it’s a name that describes a REAL girl rather than a fairy-tale princess. Venus in Capricorns are too down-to-earth for the phony glitz and glamour of other characters. Penny from The Rescuers is another young child who showed kindness but also bravery. She may have been a bit plain, but she was definitely smart. Penny’s goals were very simple, practical, and very mature for her age. She was an orphan who hoped to be adopted by a family. And who wouldn’t adopt the gutsy Penny? She stood up to Medusa at gun point! That’s pretty impressive for a six year old girl! It’s very true that our Venus in Capricorns are mature as children. Their charm is their maturity! I should say they are so smart for their age, they seem to understand things even adults can’t grasp. One major thing about Penny is that she didn’t have many friends and she wasn’t very confident in her appearance. In fact, she thought the reason no one would adopt her is because she wasn’t pretty enough! Sometimes, Capricorns are very hard on themselves. Much of their cautious behavior comes from insecurity and a fear of rejection. Penny was always worried about being good enough. This is probably why Venus in Capricorns prefer to be alone. Still, even if they choose to be alone, they should always remember that they are just as good as everyone else. One of the things they can do to bring more attention to themselves is to open themselves up to others and learn to trust people a little more. Venus in Capricorns are often so afraid of rejection that they end up rejecting others to protect themselves, retreating to the idea that they are unlovable and unwanted. This is the opposite of true. It does take time, but there is someone out in the world who thinks your qualities are special and amazing. There were certainly a lot of amazing qualities about Penny!

Darla

Our Venus in Capricorns have played obnoxious children as well. While most are mature and careful, many can act careless and spoiled. Many can seem the opposite of Penny and act more like Darla from Finding Nemo. Darla does reflect Venus in Capricorn qualities to a certain degree as well. It’s pretty clear that Darla doesn’t have many friends. For some Venus in Capricorns it could be because they keep themselves away from others. For other Venus in Capricorns, like Darla, it could be their demanding personalities. Darla from Finding Nemo was feared by both her uncle and the fish. She was quite careless when handling fish. Of course, she was just a kid. But the Venus in Capricorn who played her didn’t mind bringing this demanding character to life. This symbolically reflects how a few Venus in Capricorns express themselves at times. No matter how old they are, many tend to have very high demands from life. Most act very mature, but many want security so much (being ruled by the cautious, careful planet Saturn) they end up having high standards and end up demanding that the world complies with their standards. And when those standards aren’t met, they could end up acting like Darla when she couldn’t get her “fishy”.  She’s never intentionally been evil or cruel, but she has been careless when dealing with other living creatures. She’s also been a little selfish and bratty. Venus in Capricorns tend to be ambitious and sometimes they can be ruthless while going after what they want, often not caring who is hurt in the process. Venus in Capricorns should learn to think more about people while going after what they want. Sure, most are sympathetic and caring. But most won’t give up what they want to spare someone else’s feelings. They should learn to be a little more accommodating.

moana

We did finally receive our first Venus in Capricorn princess. Moana is played by an actress with Venus in Capricorn! More than likely, Moana was appealing to the Venus in Capricorn because she is smart, brave, independent, and ambitious. Capricorn is a sign of independence and practicality. They don’t play games when it comes to reaching goals. Moana was determined to sail the waters and save her home. She didn’t let anything stop her. Like most Capricorns, she is very close to her elders. She lets her elders guide her and borrows wisdom from them. Capricorn is also an earth sign, so it isn’t surprising to see her strong connection with nature.

Venus in Aquarius

1371562910_aquarius-money

Looking at all the characters played by a Venus in Aquarius, it’s safe to say they are unusual. They definitely follow the beat of their own drums! They are quite wiry. There is always one time in these people’s lives where at least one person thinks they’re crazy because they just aren’t like everyone else. But they are not short of genius! They are just way ahead of their time in the way they think. They also notice things others simply don’t. They have interesting observational skills.

These women are also quite progressive. They are not against breaking social rules. Freedom is a very important key theme in their lives. Though they don’t need a love interest, they can be quite romantic.

Venus isn’t the most comfortable in Aquarius, but she has some things in common with this sign. Venus and Aquarius are both social. Venus is an air planet; Aquarius is an air sign. Venus believes in fairness and justice, peace and love. Aquarius is also about peace and fairness. They both have a need to make things fairer in the world.

But that’s where their similarities end. Aquarius is social, but in an objective sense. They care more about humanity than any intimate relationships. They are rather independent and freedom-loving. Venus is quite dependent on others. She needs to express love, and having more people around can allow her to do this. Venus is focused on superficial, mundane values like beauty and pleasure. Aquarius is concerned with world-wide social issues. Venus cares that she’s accepted in society. Aquarius can’t be held down and tied by societal norms for too long. They need to feel that they can be themselves.

Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus. Saturn is the planet of boundaries, limitations, and law. Strange for a sign that’s so freedom-loving, right? Uranus is the planet of freedom, sudden changes, and the unexpected. What would the two planets come together to make? It would make them very complex individuals. Aquarius believes in fairness and justice, so they believe that there should be laws that protect the freedoms of individuals. At the same time, living by any rules is such a challenge because they believe in freedom. This often makes them hard to understand. This is probably why many people find them to be unusual.

How would sudden changes affect a person? It would make them prepared for the unexpected all the time. It would make them adaptable to the times. But it would make them feel like true security is impossible. You would never know what to expect from them. Just when you think you know them, the world around these people change. No one can truly define a Venus in Aquarius. Their Saturn and Uranus signs will influence their Venus in Aquarius expressions.

Saturn is a social planet that can move between any of the 12 zodiac signs while Venus is in Aquarius. However, it stays within one sign in a year or more. Uranus is a generational planet that can stay within a sign for 10 years or more. It can be within any of the 12 zodiac signs while Venus is in Aquarius.

With Uranus being a generational planet, it’s clear that Aquarius is more interested in humanity and global interests pertaining to their generation than anything else.

If Saturn is in Capricorn, Aquarius, or Libra, some Venus in Aquarius qualities will be more apparent. If Saturn is in Cancer, Leo, or Aries, some Venus in Aquarius qualities won’t be as apparent. If Uranus is in Aquarius or some say Scorpio, other Aquarius qualities will be extremely obvious. If Uranus is in Leo or some say Taurus, some Venus in Aquarius qualities won’t be that obvious.

Aquarius is an air sign and a fixed sign. They are full of many new ideas, but it’s very hard for them to adapt to other people’s ideas.

Aquarius is always considered the “water bearer” because they tend to “pour out knowledge” upon the world. A water bearer was always associated with a cloud because a clouds bear water and pour it out over the world.

Brave_merida_card

When mentioning how much Venus in Aquariuses “march to the beat of their own drum”, the first Disney character that comes to mind is Merida from Brave. Merida was brought to life by someone who had Venus in Aquarius. Is this any surprise? The quirky, freedom-loving Merida definitely wouldn’t let social expectations define or confine her. Merida didn’t adapt well to being a “proper” princess after her father became king. Because of this, she often clashed with her mother. Merida believed in being her usual self. She never had the best table manners, she didn’t want to be married to anyone, and she loved to brush up on her archery skills. She may have come across a bit wild. But she wasn’t afraid to introduce new ideas. Still, Merida had to learn to compromise. Sometimes, Aquariuses see things their own way. It’s great to be progressive and it’s great to try to change things. But there isn’t always anything wrong with old ways either. It may benefit them to understand why certain traditions have existed. It would benefit them not to be reckless when trying to gain freedom, as Merida did when she made a deal with a witch to turn her mother into a bear. They often also need to stop trying to shake everything up just for the sake of getting their way. There is room for many different ideas, not just their own. When Merida learned to compromise with her mother, she and her mother were both able to get something out of it.

09746deb0f70f6f2fad41952c992acb8

Maid Marian from Robin Hood was also quite different from other women of her time. She was enthralled with the brave and exciting Robin Hood. Venus rules the love interest. She wasn’t quite interested in a conventional life as Robin Hood had thought. She may have seemed that her head was in the clouds. Our Venus in Aquariuses are visionaries and often times they don’t seem very practical. Still, Venus in Aquariuses are never boring. Maid Marian loved to get out and play Badminton. She doesn’t mind getting a little messy and letting her youthful, lively spirit out even if she is a royal! She definitely isn’t your typical royal.

3257768_1370736742777.0res_357_396

Princess Eilonwy from The Black Cauldron is another atypical royal. For a princess, she’s really spunky and strong-willed. She is quite headstrong and heroic. Instead of waiting for a prince to save her after being imprisoned, she was determined to solve her own problems. She really helped Taran on his journey. She doesn’t like being discriminated against because she’s a girl. That’s a usual thing for Venus in Aquariuses. They are far too independent and free-minded to be hemmed in by old-fashioned viewpoints. They can’t really fit into social standards that don’t encourage them to be themselves and take care of themselves. The truth is that Venus in Aquariuses don’t trust others that much to be too dependent on someone else for their entire well-being. Eilonwy always tried to rely on herself.

download (1)

Nala from The Lion King is another strong female character. She may be a royal, but like most lionesses, she’s an expert hunter, independent, and strong. This progressive Venus won’t let anyone take care of them! It’s ironic that Aquarius’s opposite sign is the Leo, the royal lion. When a Venus in Aquarius gets hold of this kind of role, there is a sense of humanity rather than traits of an animal, unlike what there might have been with an actual Leo. Nala is almost humanized. She’s made to relate to the viewers. The Venus in Aquarius who played this role made her really “human”. Venus in Aquariuses are really humble, no matter how popular or famous, and tend to see themselves as no better than anyone else. This gives them a very humane quality. Our Venus in Aquariuses are also highly attracted to their opposite sign and vice versa. They are complementary in many respects. Still, this Venus in Aquarius probably was attracted to Nala’s independent qualities more than anything, which very much connects with the sign of Aquarius. Another trait of Venus in Aquarius is their interest in their friends. For Venus in Aquariuses, friendship is often more important than romantic love. Still, if they were to choose a lover, it would be someone who was a close friend. They tend to fall in love with their childhood friends much more often than other Venuses.

Helen-Parr

Speaking of the strong-willed and independent, there is one character I just can’t ignore. Helen Parr, ElastiGirl from The Incredibles, was brought to life by a Venus in Aquarius. Our Venus in Aquariuses care much about humanity. It’s not unusual for them to play super heroes. Helen Parr, as a young woman, used to be an aggressive feminist, someone who wanted to make her mark in the super hero business, which was dominated by men, and someone who wouldn’t be tied down by marriage and housewifery. These traits describe Venus in Aquariuses so much! As youths, they tend to be strong about equality, progress, and breaking into fields that haven’t been tapped. Yet, they are complex and don’t even want to be labeled in that regard. Helen ended up breaking her strong values when she met Mr. Incredible. Such is the nature of an air sign! Soon after, though, the U.S. government stopped Super heroes from using their powers to save the day. That must have been hard for a freedom-loving woman like her! Many Venus in Aquariuses want to do something important in the world. Still, as long as they get to do something for someone, even if that includes their families, they enjoy it. Helen tried to live a “normal” life, but she was trying to raise a not-so-normal family! Though she put on a front of normality, she always secretly used her powers to make her housework easier. She just couldn’t get away from it. She just wasn’t like other people! She was special and she had to remember that. Sometimes, it gets hard for our Venus in Aquariuses because being different can make them feel like outcasts. They don’t like this because they really are social and want to belong, despite how different they seem. They really want to be accepted for their quirks just like they try to accept others. Of course, others aren’t nearly as tolerant. Sometimes, they may try to be normal just to appease people. But the best advice for them is that old idealistic saying, “Just be yourself”.

jane-2

Jane Porter from Tarzan tends to carry the quirky Aquarius qualities well. Her voice actress has this position. First off, Jane wasn’t like other proper English women of her time. She had an urge to explore. She pushed boundaries that limited her socially and embarked on a daring voyage to discover more about the Gorillas. She was an intelligent, courageous, and open-minded woman. Our Venus in Aquariuses are some of the most intelligent people in the world. Their ideas are so progressive and way ahead of their times, even they can barely keep up! Jane Porter often seemed a little unusual, wiry, and maybe even a little crazy at times, especially when she’d first spotted Tarzan. Our Venus in Aquariuses don’t even have conventional love interests. She was in love with an ape-man. But there was more to Tarzan than just the fact that he lived in the jungle. She saw so much through his eyes. She felt his desire to learn about himself. Nothing is more attractive to a Venus in Aquarius than a person who wants knowledge. They tend to like to associate with smart individuals. Jane Porter’s brains-as well as her cute snort-laugh-are her amazing quirky charms! She even carries the lovable freedom-loving qualities well. You know, she enjoys swinging from vines and all.

Finding-Dory-feature-image

If we really want to talk about quirky, let’s look at Dory from Finding Nemo, played by Ellen DeGeneres. She happens to have Venus in Aquarius! Is Dory as normal as we would expect? No. Venus in Aquariuses are experts at producing the unexpected. But she was a loyal and helpful friend to Marlin. Yes, she had short-term memory loss. Yes, she was flighty and ditzy. We have to remember that Venus in Aquariuses are still air signs. They are light and airy! Still, Dory was sociable and friendly, also like our Venus in Aquariuses. They aren’t judgmental about the friends they make either. Dory has made friends with a clown fish, sharks, and even whales ten times larger than her! She learned to communicate with many people. Venus in Aquariuses learn early on in life to accept people, no matter how different they are. So it’s not uncommon to see Venus in Aquariuses associating with people that seem totally opposite them in personality. Marlin was nothing like Dory, and yet they were good friends! Not love interests either. Just good friends. Venus in Aquariuses often prefer to be friends than lovers with people. Even when they are in a relationship, it has to feel like a good friendship. They don’t like to feel confined. Friendships make relationships feel much lighter for them. And they don’t really like being too intimate with people. This comes from a fear of being judged. Dory was good friends with Marlin, but not much was known about her family or where she came from. She probably couldn’t even remember where she lived! Many Venus in Aquariuses are similar symbolically. They would rather detach themselves with the past and think mostly about the future. “Just Keep Swimming” is the perfect motto for Venus in Aquariuses.

Tarzan070-1--1-

Venus in Aquariuses certainly are open-minded when it comes to making friends. They are open-minded about who they love in general. Kala from Tarzan adopted Tarzan into her family though he was a human and she was an ape. She didn’t care that they were different on the outside. She recognized that they were connected on the inside. Both of them lost family members by the claws of Sabor, the tiger, and she knew that Tarzan needed her help. She took up the challenge of raising him, despite what anyone thought about humans or about his appearance.

Mother_Gothel

There are bad sides to having Venus in Aquarius (if you consider it “bad”) and it comes in the form of Disney villains. Our Venus in Aquariuses are generally independent. Because they don’t have many attachments to many people, many times they come across as uncaring and unfeeling unless they are trying to get what they want. It’s very common for Venus in Aquariuses to put up a false pretense that they care about others’ situations in a friendship or relationship only to reveal that they don’t really care. Mother Gothel from Tangled really made a show of pretending she cared about Rapunzel. She was good at it! Even to this day, it’s controversial among fans of the film whether she really cared about Rapunzel or just cared about keeping Rapunzel’s hair. Venus in Aquariuses feelings can be just that confusing in relationships. There is sometimes a sense of detachment with these individuals. When they want to do something for themselves, they need ultimate freedom and so don’t often want to think about others’ feelings when it comes to their decisions. They often don’t think about everyone who will be hurt in the process. Venus in Aquariuses are often so intelligent, they can be “dangerous manipulators”. Instead of using her knowledge about the magical flower to help an ailing world, Mother Gothel instead kept it to herself to ensure her own longevity. Venus in Aquariuses must try not to block others out of their inner world and they must be a little more caring and feeling on an intimate level. They must also learn to use their unusual ideas for good, lest it go to waste. Believe it or not, they also should be careful of being narcissistic. Though they don’t usually just focus on themselves in regards to humanity, when it comes to their own personal and intimate life, they tend to mostly focus on themselves and what they want to do. They tend to shut others out. Please tend to those around you and try to tolerate the feelings you find so “petty”.

Yzma_42

Our Venus in Aquariuses certainly do have their own original tastes in clothes and beauty in general. They usually try to look very distinct. In this way, they would make excellent fashion designers. They’d prefer to wear their own branded material. Yzma from The Emperor’s new Groove is played by a Venus in Aquarius. Her sense of style is definitely uniquely her own. Having your own fashion sense like Yzma is pretty cool, but acting like Yzma is another thing entirely. Again, our Venus in Aquariuses should be super careful about their manipulative streak. Yzma pretended to be loyal to Kuzco. She pretended to care about his kingdom. But generally, she only cared about herself. She was very good at putting on the act, but really lacked any feelings towards others, including her own henchman Kronk. Again, Venus in Aquariuses should be wary that they aren’t unfeeling, cold, and manipulative as they try to achieve their aims. They need to let their intentions remain clear. They shouldn’t feel that their life never affects others because it does. They equally shouldn’t fall into an indifferent attitude where they don’t care about anyone’s personal life but their own.

Venus in Pisces

1371562938_pisces-money

One thing most people will learn by looking at the characters played by the Venus in Pisces is that they are mostly kind and sensitive. They generally care about others and constantly worry that others are happy and healthy. They are generally observant and they think before they act. This makes them quite graceful, but a bit reserved and shy. They try not to do anything they will regret later. They are beautiful, inside and out. Many of them love to primp and polish their looks. But somehow, this doesn’t make them shallow. They never judge others by appearances, even though they really do like to look nice.

They often see things that others don’t see. They tend to be very much in touch with the spirit world.

They have a deeply hidden romantic nature. Often times, it’s not easy for them to admit this. They are generally shy.

Venus is exalted in Pisces, the last sign she enters. I think after going through all the other signs, she finally gets it right after everything is over. She finally finds a higher meaning for her love. Pisces is often associated with the house of endings, the 12th house. This can mean the end of a relationship, the end of love. Or perhaps, love hasn’t even really truly begun, considering this sign is right before Venus enters Aries. In this sign, love carries a more spiritual meaning. Love is useful in more ways than one. It goes beyond the realm of the physical, intimate world and into the universal world and beyond it. Venus leaves her usual surroundings, one that is material and physically pleasurable, so this isn’t really the most comfortable position ever for Venus. But she finds something better, something more meaningful. She uses her love for more meaningful purposes than material things. She finds out more than ever about her favorite topic, love. She may not need love as much with this sign as she does with her ruling signs, but love is still a very important theme. It just takes a different form now.

Usually before we jump into love (in Aries), we’re dreaming about it, wondering about it. At this point, love is at its most ideal. We’re hoping for that perfect romance or friendship. We come up with our own ideal types. We become enthralled with someone that we have yet to talk to or yet to meet in the real world. We may have seen this type on a drama or sitcom. We may like this person as a celebrity. We become hopeless romantics, falling in love with an image of someone we’ve never met truly. We see a cool crowd that we would really one day like to be a part of because it looks like so much fun. We have yet to dive in and find out for ourselves (like we would when Venus is in Aries). We have yet to fall in love with that special somebody. But we have dreamed about that special somebody. This is the most amazing part of love for many people. This is when love doesn’t see hard, bad, or cruel. This is when we feel at our most beautiful, too. This is when we generally want to try all the styles that exist. We appreciate art, no matter how it looks to others. We want to try and find out who we are and how we would look to others. But we haven’t quite nailed what our real style is. We’re just “testing the waters”. This is Venus in Pisces. They express their love best at this moment. This is their favorite part.

And then Pisces also rules endings. After we break-up with someone for good, our life returns to the days before we first fell in love. We realize that we can never return, only move with the flow into the next love life. Only this time, it doesn’t feel the same. We are wiser now. We are also just as shy as we were when we first started thinking about love, but this time it’s because we no longer trust what we see. We begin to look for the person on the inside. We begin looking for people that love us for what’s on the inside. A true spiritual connection is what we’re searching for. Yet, we are still following an illusion. We are paranoid, continuously afraid we will make the same mistake. We begin to even see things that aren’t really there. Sometimes, we never trust love again, no matter how different a person seems. Sometimes, after a seriously chaotic relationship, we begin to see love as something boundless. We open our hearts to people we wouldn’t have before, seeing that love doesn’t just mean one thing. Many of these people show their love through compassion, through helping others less fortunate, from dedicating themselves to their children and families, from forming close friendships, and from showing this love through music and art. Love encompasses many things for these people.

This is the Venus in Pisces journey. Venus discovers that love can mean many things to many people. Love isn’t just one-dimensional. Love isn’t just physical. Love isn’t just a social norm. Love can be anything. Venus in Pisces thus understands the most that everyone has their own way of showing love and they can generally tolerate any Venus sign and adapt any Venus sign’s way of showing love! Through Pisces, Venus can learn to appreciate her “journey” through all the 12 signs. This is more than you can find when Venus is in her ruling signs, where love is a little more physical and simple. However, this does make Venus in Pisces complicated. It’s hard to know exactly what interests a Venus in Pisces. It’s hard to know what or who they truly love. They seem to love everybody and everything. These people can be frustrating in one-on-one relationships.

As far as charms and beauty go, they can adapt to any styles and charms. They are generally open-minded. Still, they prefer quieter styles to louder ones. They are still really shy. They just “go-with-the-flow”.

Venus and Pisces have quite a bit in common. Venus is soft and subtle; Pisces is soft and subtle. Venus loves beauty and appreciates the arts. Pisces does, too. Both are pretty inert. Neither does too much. They are both quiet and prefer peace and love to chaos and violence. But they have differences. Pisces is emotional, sentimental, and prefers the inside to the outside (though they can easily be persuaded by pretenses). Venus is all about how people and things appear. She’s reasonable, but she’s a sucker for beauty. She’s a little more logical than Pisces.

Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck, optimism, and beliefs. This makes Pisces belief-stricken. They want to believe in something, they want to feel hopeful and positive about the world. This makes them the compassionate people they are. This makes them broad-minded. They are also ruled by Neptune. Neptune is the planet of illusions and dreams. This means that Venus in Pisces people may be a part of the illusion, where people see things in them they aren’t. Perhaps, they are responsible for these illusions through deceptive practices, like acting or magic or music. Or maybe these people are susceptible to the illusions they see around them, getting caught up in music, movies, books, or inspirational people that give them the dream they wish existed in the real world. This also makes them care about people. They really have an idealistic view of the world and they want everyone to be happy.

Jupiter is a social planet that can stay within one sign for a year or more. It can be in any of the 12 zodiac signs. Neptune is a generational planet that can stay within one sign for 10 years or more. It can be in any of the 12 zodiac signs as well…After a few years have passed.

If Jupiter is in Sagittarius, Pisces, or Cancer, some Venus in Pisces qualities will be more apparent. If Jupiter is in Gemini, Virgo, or Capricorn, some Venus in Pisces qualities won’t be as apparent. If Neptune is in Pisces, Cancer, or Leo, some Venus in Pisces qualities will be obvious. If Neptune is in Virgo, Capricorn, or Aquarius, some Venus in Pisces qualities won’t be as obvious.

Pisces is a water sign and a mutable sign. This means the emotions are important, but changeable according to the environment they’re in and according to the people they’re around. They are unpredictable.

Pisces is associated with the fish because they tend to “go with the flow”.

Pisces’s opposite sign is Virgo.

Aristocats-disneyscreencaps.com-3087

Our Venus in Pisces are generally caring. Being exalted by Venus, they tend to feel like the perfect women sometimes. They don’t want to stand out too much, and prefer to fit in with normal people sometimes. Duchess from The Aristocats was one such cat, brought to life by a Venus in Pisces. She was an aristocratic cat who lived a fine life. But like most Venus in Pisces, she preferred the underdogs. This is how she fell in step with O’Malley, an alley cat. This cat showed her a world beyond her privileged life. Venus in Pisces often fall in step with such people, especially when it comes to romantic affairs. They should be careful that they are realistic, though. Many of these “street” people are truly unsavory, but for Duchess, O’Malley was a helpful friend. Venus in Pisces won’t turn away anyone! They are truly the least judgmental of every sign. Different from Aquarius, Pisces don’t mind becoming intimate with people most would turn away. They tend to see the beauty inside of people rather than how someone appears on the outside. Still, they should be careful of being too trusting. When it came to Edgar, her butler, Duchess trusted him. Duchess never expected that he would get rid of the cats in order to gain the inheritance given to her and her kittens. Venus in Pisces individuals should be careful who they trust. They are often the victims of many crimes because of their innocence. They seem like easy targets for those who have bad intentions. After all, Duchess just seemed like an innocent cat. Venus in Pisces need to set boundaries and be a little more watchful of who they trust. Aside from that, Duchess was a caring, graceful, and ladylike feline. She seemed like the perfect kind of female for any man in her society. Any man’s dream, right? She obviously had a beau before she met O’Malley, considering she had kittens before she met him, and O’Malley was captured by her charming spell as well! This is definitely why Venus is exalted in Pisces. They certainly put out a “dream” that makes Venus look good. They actually could adapt well to society, whether it’s traditional or progressive. The pressure to be a “lady” isn’t much “pressure” for many people with Venus in Pisces. They prefer quiet activities anyway! Still, many also like freedom, so being strong and independent isn’t bad either. Duchess fit well in her society. She was into quiet activities. She was excellent at the arts. Most of our Venus in Pisces people have an appreciation for the arts. Duchess always taught her kittens painting and music. Duchess was also quite the romantic. Her voice was even dreamy!

05

Miss Bianca from The Rescuers, played by the same voice actress as Duchess, was just like Duchess! She was quite the lady. She was beautiful, elegant, and graceful, just like Duchess. Doesn’t she look amazing in lilac and lavender? Pisces tend to rule over sea-like colors ranging from sea green to a soft purple. Again, Venus in Pisces carry a hint of grace and elegance about them because they tend to be quiet and demure. They don’t move too fast and don’t mind “lady-like” activities. Though Miss Bianca is a lady, she is very compassionate, kind, and definitely doesn’t judge others by their appearances. She’s a layered female mouse. She was interested in her appearance, but she was also brave, daring, and adventurous as well. Venus in Pisces can merge into any woman that would suit the moment. All of Miss Bianca’s qualities made her perfect for the Rescue Aid Society. Her duty was to help people. Venus in Pisces people, again, show their love by helping others. This makes them good friends to have. They are always there to rescue people from a crisis.

While many of our Venus in Pisces women seem really elegant and poised on the outside, many of them may deeply feel insecure inside. They are super sensitive to other people’s opinions and sensitive towards their environment in general. This can make them insecure when dealing with people. Queen Atta from A Bug’s Life may have been crowned the queen, but life wasn’t easy just because she was a royal. As the queen ant, she had to make sure the colony ran smoothly and that everyone stored enough food for the harvest. Queen Atta was never truly in charge of her own destiny. Therefore, being Queen was even more of a responsibility for her. She felt pressure from the other ants. She was always worried about what they thought about her. She was under scrutiny and it made her nervous and a perfectionist. Many of our Venus in Pisces women, behind their easy-going demeanor, are a bundle of nerves. They really don’t care about fitting in totally, but they hate drama and they hate causing tension between themselves and others. Sometimes, they are pushed around by others until they break as a result of their passive nature. They should learn to stand up for themselves a little more. They should also make sure that they are making their own choices and not the choices everyone else thinks is best for them. Queen Atta never thought that maybe being a queen wasn’t for her, but at the same time, she probably wouldn’t have deserted her position even if it weren’t suited to her personality. Venus in Pisces are too caring to leave others high and dry. Queen Atta knew that her mother was counting on her and she didn’t want to let the colony down, either. Venus in Pisces really are sweet-hearts. People can count on them to help. Still, they often set aside what they want and let others pressure them into situations they aren’t comfortable in. Venus in Pisces individuals need to set more boundaries. Eventually, Atta is able to help the colony move smoothly. With the help of her mother and her friendship with Flik, she was able to let loose a little. Venus in Pisces should always turn to those that love them whenever they are feeling stressed. They often need the insight of outsiders to help calm their nerves. Their imagination can run wild, both with good thoughts and bad. They need someone who is a little objective to help them out at times.

Mrs. Potato Head from Toy Story also carries her nerves on her sleeve. She’s quite the worry-wart sometimes. However, she’s very kind and caring. She’s very supportive. Her husband never has problems with his wife! And she of course, like all Pisces, would take in anyone who was suffering. She adopted the three aliens her husband saved into her family! Venus in Pisces wouldn’t turn away anyone! And like many of the other Venus in Pisces ladies, she really cares about her appearance. She’s always looking around for an earring…or eye…that has popped off.

Our Venus in Pisces are certainly tender-hearted. Sally Finklestein from The Nightmare Before Christmas was played by a Venus in Pisces, and she was certainly kind and sweet. Like most of our Venus in Pisces individuals, she was a hopeless, dreamy romantic. She was in love with Jack Skellington, someone she felt had a desire to discover more in life just as she had. Venus in Pisces individuals are ruled by Jupiter, so they tend to have adventurous streaks. Their dreaming keeps them on never-ending adventures. Like all the other women in Halloween Town, she idolized Jack. This is normal for Venus in Pisces women. They tend to be in search for a “soul mate”, someone who feels and thinks the way they do. Often times, they gravitate to the beliefs a person has. Sally liked what Jack stood for and was wrapped up in it. For her, everything turned out alright. But many of our Venus in Pisces should still be a little more realistic when dealing with love. They often tend to be in love with idols, people they THINK they know. But many times, these are just illusions. People may profess to have certain beliefs, but there is always more to a person than what they believe. Still, Sally was pretty smart. She was too shy to tell Jack her feelings anyway, so she had plenty of time to get to know him.  She was quite a sensible character. Venus in Pisces people aren’t just about dreaming. They are really wise, too, and they give really good advice. They see the world broadly and know how to improve the world around them. Even though Sally has many strong qualities on the inside, she’s a bit fragile on the outside. Her body parts constantly have to be sewn on! She also doesn’t speak up for herself often. Venus in Pisces should express themselves more and develop a thicker skin. The fact that she is a ghoul shows Venus in Pisces people are in touch with the spirit world. The voice actress with this placement was clearly attracted to such a theme!

Deb-FindingNemo3D

Of course, some Venus in Pisces individuals live mostly in their own worlds. Deb from Finding Nemo was played by a Venus in Pisces. First off, Deb was a fish. Pisces is the sign most associated with the fish. But Deb was stuck in a fish tank. Being stuck in a fish tank, she couldn’t really experience life in her natural home. She became delusional, thinking her reflection on the glass of the tank is her sister…a sister that may or may not exist. This is an example of a Venus in Pisces that is trapped. Venus in Pisces are really freedom-loving and prefer to be with other people like them. If Venus in Pisces feel trapped in a place they don’t want to be, they often tend to lose touch with reality much more. Many of them become wrapped up in their own worlds, coming up with fantastic illusions through stories, music, or other artistic outlets. However, they must be careful that they don’t form too close of a relationship with the characters in their imagination. Sometimes, they feel so alone and so trapped in the harsh world, they create their own worlds to escape from it all. These worlds often times feel very real to them. And this doesn’t mean they literally are as delusional as Deb (though some may be), but they may get caught up in sub-cultures that promote their visions. Many of these people make fan-fictions in their heads of themselves and their favorite idols. Many of them refer to these characters in their real life, looking at every situation in comparison to some character they came up with. This isn’t always a bad thing. But Venus in Pisces must remember that these people mostly exist in their own head. Another major problem is that Venus in Pisces individuals often see things in people that the people themselves may not relate to. Whether it’s a celebrity or animated character, Venus in Pisces will relate that person or character to something within their own lives, seeing things in these people that aren’t really there. Sometimes, the things they see in these people and in the world are simply just reflections of themselves.

megara

Our Venus in Pisces don’t really carry “evil” traits, but this doesn’t mean they are completely innocent. Many of our Venus in Pisces characters can be strongly manipulative. They are also easily swept up with the wrong people. Megara from Hercules was played by a Venus in Pisces. Venus in Pisces are often thought of as “damsels-in-distress” because they often don’t have the will-power to stand up to people, leaving room open for others to protect and save them. Sometimes, Venus in Pisces just ACTS like the damsel-in-distress to get their way. They sometimes act like the victim for manipulative aims. Megara played up the Pisces damsel in distress role just for show. Hercules thought that Megara was a victim when he saw Megara wrestling with a huge water guardian. He even thought she was a victim of Hades’s schemes. In some ways, she was. But in many ways, she wasn’t. Megara sided with Hades, god of the Underworld, on her own free will, to get back at her boyfriend who’d left her for some other woman. Again, our Venus in Pisces sometimes end up losing trust in love. Often times, this is because they were too idealistic and too easily persuaded to get into relationships with people who never truly had their best interests. When this happens, sometimes they do some pretty scary things to get back at the people that have harmed them. Venus in Pisces does have a shark side. But usually they don’t take matters into their own hands directly. They usually get involved with others who indirectly help them achieve their aims. In Megara’s case, she got involved with the wrong person. She got involved with someone who brought disaster to the world. Megara may not have cared about her relationship with a villain like Hades at first, since he reflected her bitter feelings, but when she started falling in love again, she realized that Hades was no better than the boyfriend who’d left her. He was a bad influence on her. Megara was too easily persuaded by Hades’s offer to get revenge, just like she was too easily persuaded to get into a relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Venus in Pisces people must be careful of schemes that offer temporary happiness. It’s not that Venus in Pisces individuals just like the first good-looking, perfect person they see. It’s just that they are easily swept up in words that promise them their dreams will come true. They tend to be so desperate for happiness and peace in their lives; they will take up the next substance that makes them feel better, which could be just a book or song, but also includes drugs and alcohol, or another poor relationship with someone else. The worst part is that Megara was cautious when the right person came along! Venus in Pisces must really be careful of getting with the wrong people. They need to work on being a little more discriminating and they need to learn to size people up carefully. They must learn not to listen to what people say and focus on the good that a person does. Anyone can lie. In truth, appearances can sometimes tell you a little about a person, even if it doesn’t tell you everything. Luckily, Megara came to her senses. She ended up saving Hercules’s life and helped him restore his powers back. She showed that she was self-sacrificing. Venus in Pisces individuals, again, will do anything for the ones they love, even sacrifice their own lives!

I want to emphasize that Megara could “see things” that others couldn’t and that she was in touch with the spirit world. I mean, she was the only human associated with Hades, the god of the Underworld, and was clearly the only one who could see him. She also fell in love with a spirit, a GOD! Our Venus in Pisces tend to be drawn to the spirit world, even in relationships! Even if these “spirits” just take the form of illusions they see in celebrities or books. Megara fell in love with Hercules, a man that was basically worshiped and idolized by others both in Mount Olympus and on Earth.

If you notice that I have missed any other Disney characters, let me know in the comments’ section! I’m mostly focusing on Disney animated films and video game characters. I’m not focusing on Disney Channel characters. Sorry about that. :/ Also, I’m not focusing on Direct-to-Video movies, either.

Which Disney Animated Heroine Are YOU? By the Venus Signs

If you already know this, you can skip down to Venus in

Where can you find these signs? Not as easily as you can find your Sun signs. You’d have to get your FREE natal chart online.

The following website can help you find your natal chart:

http://www.astro.com —-> This is to get a natal chart. Sign up for a free account!

There are also houses and aspects on this chart that make the difference as to how your planets are expressed, but I won’t touch too much on that in this article.

This article is focusing on PLANET VENUS.

Of all the 10 planets on the natal wheel, why did I choose Venus?

Well, the Sun usually symbolizes the FATHER. The moon usually symbolizes the MOTHER.

Venus symbolizes the HEROINE (or the villain), the female hero, how she sees her role in SOCIETY (since Venus often rules over the social scene), or the hero’s charms and likable qualities.

By observing the characters chosen by these actresses’ Venus signs, we can better understand which characters FIT with each person’s definition of themselves and their own CHARMS.

Also, you may learn something about yourself through the characters brought to life by a person who shares YOUR Venus sign.

For more information about your signs or how to find your Venus sign, I’ve created a guide:

PART TWO for the REST!

Venus in Aries

Aries symbol

Looking at the Disney characters that attracted our Venus in Aries women to them, it’s safe to say our Venus in Aries women certainly love excitement! Whether it’s exciting situations or exciting people, they live life fast! Everything seems to move quickly for them, in life or love! This makes them seem a little rebellious at times because they are not afraid to shake things up for the sake of their own freedom to be an individual.

Venus first enters its sign of detriment. What does this mean for women with Venus in Aries? Does this mean these women are less feminine than all the others? Does this mean they aren’t as lovable as other signs? Does this mean they aren’t interested in finding love? Does this mean they aren’t beautiful? Does this mean they can’t charm a crowd?

No! Not at all! It’s important to remember that this still means VENUS is entering Aries. The difference is rather the kind of charm Venus carries when she enters Aries. And this charm is certainly different from the way she’s used to expressing herself. Venus is soft, quiet, and peaceful. Rather than being dramatic, exciting, brave, and bold, she prefers to take it easy, lay around, eat, and enjoy life. “Beauty” for her may not be dramatic fashions and extreme girlishness. Depictions often show Aphrodite in rather plain fashions, if any at all! She’s actually rather subtle in her approach to fashion. She’s generally soft in every way.

But what does Venus find for the first time when she enters Aries? Well, the time of her life! When Venus meets Aries, ruled by the planet Mars, her opposite, her life definitely gets more dramatic than what she’s used to. Yet, for once in her quiet, subtle life, she can find the excitement within herself, treat beauty like an adventure, and find love in the most unexpected ways.

Venus and Aries are typically nothing alike, which is why she feels so uncomfortable. Aries is bold, courageous, and confident. Venus is subtle, soft, and moderate. Aries is independent, Venus isn’t. Aries loves itself first and foremost. They may seem a bit selfish. Venus is extremely considerate and tends to bend to others’ will more often than not. Aries loves adventures, Venus prefers to relax. Aries is ruled by the planet of war; Venus is the planet of peace and love. See? Very different!

Let’s elaborate on the fact that Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of war. “War” can make a person courageous, assertive, daring, wild, and tough. These qualities are bestowed upon our Venus in Aries ladies. Their Mars signs influence how their Venus in Aries will be expressed. Mars can be in any one of the 12 signs in the zodiac but keep in mind that Mars is still the planet of war. If Mars is in its strongest placements, Capricorn, Aries, and Scorpio, Venus in Aries qualities will be apparent right away. If Mars is in its weakest placements, Cancer, Libra, and Taurus, Venus in Aries qualities won’t be apparent right away. If Mars is in any of the other signs, it’s a toss-up half the time.

Venus in Aries women might relate more to their Mars signs, so they should find the Venus sign Disney character that matches their own Mars sign, too, for more information!

Women with this placement see themselves as brave, daring, spunky, and bold. Most of them are independent and love freedom. They’d rather play characters that are noticed in some way.

Aries is a fire sign and is a cardinal sign, making them the ultimate leaders.

Aries is associated with the Ram because they charge head-first into everything.

Aries’s opposite sign is Libra.

Cinderella-Wallpaper-disney-princess-28961265-1024-768

Certainly when we look at Cinderella, our first character brought to life by a Venus in Aries, we get the clearest understanding of what Venus is experiencing in this sign. It looks like our Venus in Aries ladies are highly attracted to her. In both the 1950 film and the 2015 film, the actresses had Venus in Aries.

This may surprise some who understand Cinderella to be a passive or extremely feminine character, and believe Venus in Aries’s general key words conflict with this persona. Often Cinderella has come to be seen as the epitome of femininity (this may have something to do with her Mars sign)!

Still, there is no denying that Cinderella is the perfect fit for our Venus in Aries ladies! For starters, our Venus in Aries women are comfortable being the center of attention. Cinderella is known for entering a ball dramatically, all eyes on her, in a dramatically glamorous ball gown. Our Venus in Aries ladies are the alpha in any social situation, something Venus shies away from. This may be why so many Venus in Aries women are attracted to her character.

And romance happens fast for Cinderella! Venus is the planet of love, and in the fast moving sign of Aries, we can safely say they invented “love at first sight”. In the 1950’s Cinderella, prior to the ball, she dreamed of dancing with a man she never met before. After just one dance, Cinderella was in love! Wow, did things take off fast! And this certainly made the rest of the story dramatic. The prince had to travel throughout the land trying to find her after she left the ball because she didn’t even get a chance to introduce herself to him! This caused quite a stir throughout the land.

And isn’t it ironic that Cinderella lost her shoe in the first place? Likely from moving too fast, no doubt! Impulsive Cinderella only had until Midnight to enjoy her time with the prince she never met, and so she had to move things along rather quickly! Still, this head-over-heels story is why it has stood the test of time.

We have to applaud the voice actress behind her character. She brought some feisty qualities to Cinderella, too. There wasn’t a moment Cinderella didn’t have a cocky and sarcastic remark.

Cinderella had to be very strong to have dealt with her sisters, too, and she must have had a lot of energy if she could keep up with all of her chores. Also, she was certainly bold enough to break her step-mother’s rules prohibiting her to attend the ball, despite the consequences.

anita radcliffe

Anita Radcliffe from 101 Dalmatians was involved in quite an exciting romance story herself. She seems rather interested in them, anyway. She met her husband on the most exciting circumstances. Their relationship helped 101 Dalmatians flourish!

Rapunzel-tangled-22907012-900-884

Many of our Venus in Aries characters certainly love their freedom! Disney’s Rapunzel from the movie Tangled is a great example of that! Rapunzel is a free-spirited girl at heart, wanting to explore life outside of her tower. Her charm is her energetic and bold energy. She’s a bit wild looking, with her long hair flowing wherever it wants to (before it was roughly cut) and her feet bare. Our Venus in Aries ladies, no matter how girly, may have that wild side to them. Sometimes, they can be selfish. They are often caught between what they want and what others think is best for them. It’s because what they want doesn’t require other people but they still need love in their lives. This can make them “at war” with themselves. In the end, Venus in Aries always feel the need to rebel. This is where their freedom-loving streak comes into play. This is what makes them bold. She’s not shy when it comes to meeting new people. While Flynn was afraid of the fierce-looking men at the pub, Rapunzel boldly warmed herself into their hearts. She is quite the party animal, even capturing the hearts of the people in her kingdom with her upbeat personality. Aries can be innocent charmers. They sometimes don’t even realize who they are talking to or how they are making others fall in love with them. They just dive in and hope for the best. They are courageous with their hearts. Thus, they attract some of the most exciting people, just as she attracted Flynn, the bandit, into her life.

jasmine-rajah-aladdin-princess

Our Venus in Aries certainly love their thieves as much as they do their freedom! Princess Jasmine fell for Aladdin, the “street rat”, so she’s attracted to exciting people as well. The way to her heart was DEFINITELY through an exciting magic carpet ride! Jasmine loved her freedom and independence, like most Venus in Aries women, and often boldly snuck out of the palace to get that freedom. We loved Jasmine because she was feisty and daring and spoke up for herself. She wanted the freedom choose her own marriage partner. Our Venus in Aries women are decisive and “take-charge” in nature. They want to decide their own life. If having tamed a tiger into a pet doesn’t show convince you of how daring she is, you never will be convinced! I also want to note that Jasmine also brought in that Aries sexy trait (being ruled by Mars, the planet of sex), and was able to seduce many suitors with her forward, seductive approach rather than a subtle sexiness common in most women. Venus in Aries has that affect on people because they are so open and honest. Jasmine was all about honesty and being straight-forward, especially in relationships. Lastly, doesn’t Jasmine look absolutely stunning in red, Aries’s color?

Terk from Tarzan

Our Venus in Aries ladies are not all romance and ball gowns. There are many Venus in Aries that do feel qualms with what is typically feminine, thus why Venus feels very different in this sign. Venus prefers to fit in to keep the peace. Aries always stands out! Venus in Aries challenges what most people usually think of as beautiful and feminine. Venus in Aries women mostly prefer to let their actions speak, not their faces or wardrobes. Terk from Tarzan, played by a Venus in Aries, is an example of our more tomboyish Venus in Aries females. Many female characters in Disney have been tomboys, but we can definitely say that Terk is the most tomboyish female character Disney has ever designed. Terk was truly one of the boys. Funny, brash, blunt, and rough-around-the-edges, she is not typically what most would call “feminine”. Venus isn’t used to being in such a brash and outspoken sign! This reflects the social view of women as well. The world isn’t always ready for females to act so funny, brash, and tough. That’s why these women make such a difference for all the other women. Even Tarzan admired Terk when he was  a boy! Men can’t help but admire these women, even if they are a bit intimidating. Terk was definitely unlike ANY female characters ever in Disney. In this way, Aries is always original. Terk was not a romantic type of female and was quite independent, even as an adult ape. Wearing a dress? Maybe not her thing. Getting involved in mischief? Definitely her thing! But you know what? That’s her charm! Rosie O’Donnell, fellow Venus in Aries, made this fun character possible! Who says women can’t be comedians?

Fawn_1024x768

Fawn from the Tinkerbell movie series, our lovely Animal Fairy, is also considered to be one of the most tomboyish fairies. She’s very similar to Tinkerbell herself. Fawn is beautiful and yet quite “rascally” as the Disney wiki put it. She’s playful and isn’t afraid of the tough-and-rough games either. She also loves to play pranks so we know she’s one of our braver and more daring female characters. Our Venus in Aries ladies are certainly mischievous. But that’s what we love about them!

Namine-3-namine-35615295-1192-670

Our Venus in Aries ladies must be cautious about being like Namine from Kingdom hearts. Many of our Venus in Aries ladies may do selfish things to get people to love us. Namine rearranged Sora’s heart so that he would treat her like he did Kairi. Sometimes, Venus in Aries wants something so bad, they often don’t think about the consequences. Namine is typically considered the more “villainous” side of Kairi. Venus in Aries ladies are very much attracted to the edgier side of life. It wasn’t surprising that she was swept up in Organization 13’s schemes. They have very tense people for company and not all of their friends are healthy to be around for too long. Namine is quite known to be a rebellious force, often dropping situations that she feels aren’t right and suddenly taking matters into her own hands. There’s no denying that she had a leading force in many of the events throughout Kingdom Hearts. After all, she was responsible for Sora losing his memories.

Venus in Taurus

taurus-money

Looking at the Disney characters that our Venus in Taurus women were attracted to, can we just say they are beautiful in every way a woman can be? Take a look at all the Disney characters that our Venus in Taurus characters brought to life, and you can’t deny how lovable they are. There is just something for everyone to relate to. There is something naturally beautiful and down-to-earth about our Venus in Taurus ladies. They tend to be well-rounded and can relate to any woman, no matter the era in time or country of origin.

Venus is at home in the sign that it rules, Taurus. Does this mean that Venus in Tauruses are better than everyone else? More attractive? More soft? More charming? More lovable? Richer? Maybe not to everyone, but they would LIKE to be. Venus is more concerned about her appearance, how many people like her, how many possessions she owns, and peace in this sign than she is in any other signs besides her other ruling sign, Libra. Venus in Tauruses aren’t literally “soft”. They can be hard, austere, and rather reserved, really. But they do like peace and are generally easy-going, which makes them prefer quiet and less dramatic activities. Venus feels one with Taurus because she’s the exact same way! She’s soft and quiet and modest, just like the earthy Taurus. This is the placement she calls “home”. She loves to indulge in pleasures, and in Taurus those pleasures are generally good food, nice possessions, and relaxation, a.k.a good sleep.

These women see themselves as all-woman. They are both strong, hard-working, but also fashionable and beautiful. They see themselves as down-to-earth with a love of the finer things in life.

Taurus is an earth sign and is fixed. Earth makes them practical and material, and fixed makes them powerfully firm and rooted. They are rooted deep down into the earth.

Taurus is associated with the Bull because the bull is generally a peace-loving, earthy animal that doesn’t like to be bothered.

Venus in Taurus’s opposite sign is Scorpio.

Sleeping Beauty asleep

Speaking of “good sleep”, our lovely “Sleeping Beauty” Aurora was originally played by a Venus in Taurus. She is definitely the image of Aphrodite. Aurora was bestowed lovely “gifts” on her at birth. She was born beautiful! She was given the gifts of beauty and song. And no wonder! Taurus rules the throat, so our Venus in Taurus ladies tend to be beautiful singers or they love to sing. The voice actress brought grace to Aurora’s voice as well. Aurora is described as gentle and loving and our Venus in Taurus ladies in their most evolved state tend to be some of the sweet peas in the zodiac. Venus is the planet of love and in Taurus, she wants to be loved! Still, Taurus is a practical and cautious sign. They take their time developing romance. Aurora was quite the hopeless romantic, but since she was taught not to speak to strangers by the three fairies, Aurora stops herself from diving too deep in her relationship with Philip. Venus in Tauruses like peace and want the least amount of drama as possible. Often times, this means they take their time when jumping into relationships. They tend to get comfortable with the here and now. But this may be ideal to men who may not want to move too fast! Isn’t the lovely Aurora the epitome of Venus? Kind, elegant, and sophisticated for age 16, she represents the elegance that our Venus in Taurus women want to exude. And nothing is better than 100 years of good sleep! Our Venus in Taurus ladies can be lazy and may want to be taken care of. Basically, Aurora’s biggest role in the movie was a great sleep after she pricked her finger on the spinning wheel. Man, Venus likes it here!

Lady

Our Venus in Tauruses certainly are sophisticated. Lady from Lady and the Tramp was also characterized by a Venus in Taurus. The actress brought her lovely charm to life. Lady is exactly as her name sounds. She is quite the lady. She’s wealthy, demure, and innocently lovely, just like our Venus in Taurus women. The Tramp fell for her when he saw how beautiful of a dog she was. Lady is from a well-to-do family and so carries a sense of “class” about her. Taurus rules possessions and this can often mean money or wealth. Our Venus in Tauruses are often attracted to roles where they can be wealthy and graceful, just as the voice actress was. Lady was shown a lot of love and lived quite a comfortable lifestyle, which made her into the lady she became. Lady has the cutest charm.

Meet-the-robinsons-disneyscreencaps.com-4296

Fanny Robinson from Meet the Robinsons is our lovely, motherly Venus in Taurus. She is beautiful, sweet, kind, and talented; all of the charms of Venus! She can be serious though. She’s a Venus in Taurus, an earth sign, after all, and carries Taurus’s womanly charms. And what is her main occupation? Does it have to do with music? YES. Her occupation is a music conductor, and her goal in life is to teach frogs to sing. Do I have to mention again that Taurus rules the throat? Venus is happy in a sign that centers their goals on a pleasurable, artistic activity such as singing. This woman is described as charming, so Venus doesn’t even have to work too hard to give her any.

grandmother willow

Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas is Venus in Taurus’s other motherly figure. She’s wise, sweet, loving, and caring. Taurus is an earth sign, so it’s no surprise that the Venus in Taurus voice actress was attracted to a role that was a part of nature. Our Venus in Taurus ladies are truly natural. Some of the best gifts to them may come in the form of plants, especially flowers. Our Venus in Taurus ladies are also quite wise like Grandmother Willow because they are practical and take their time with things. They are quite sensible and often give good advice. In Grandmother Willow’s case, she gives true meaning to the phrase “down-to-earth”.

Dinosaur-disneyscreencaps.com-6751

Neera from Dinosaur is an example of our Venus in Tauruses that are connected to nature. Neera, like most of our Venus in Taurus ladies, is strong. She believes in the survival of the strongest. But she’s still a loving and compassionate person and will stand by her friends loyally. Our Venus in Taurus’s are the most loyal people in the world.

elsa

Of course, not all of our Venus in Taurus ladies follow the typical “beauty” and “grace” standards that possibly Aurora and Lady exude. Still, all of our Venus in Taurus ladies are popular and easily charm the crowd. Modern-day Queen Elsa has taken the world by storm in Disney’s most popular movie of the decade, Frozen. Venus is definitely happy with a young woman like Elsa! Elsa strongly represents Venus at her finest. Elsa has come to represent many women, strong and powerful, docile and feminine, and this is just the way Venus likes it; she loves to be appealing to everybody. And we can thank the Venus in Taurus voice actress that lent her charm and powerful voice to Elsa! Unlike most Disney figures, Elsa seems more womanly rather than girlish, naïve, and innocent. The voice helps. I think I mentioned over and over that Taurus rules the throat, right? “Let it Go”, the solo that made Elsa one of Disney’s biggest female stars, showed off these amazing vocal abilities. One thing I want to emphasize is how popular Elsa is. Venus loves being liked and being popular. Elsa is a very popular character because she relates well to people, just like Venus! Sure, she isn’t your typical Aphrodite, but she’s Aphrodite nonetheless. Elsa carries the reserved and austere traits that earthy Taurus carries. Earth signs are generally a bit reserved and maybe a bit rigid. Venus likes this quiet and modest sign which is so in sync with her subtle and soft nature. Unlike her sister Anna, Elsa was cautious in love. It’s not surprising she doesn’t have a love interest. I think I mentioned that Tauruses like to take their time in relationships, right? Venus in Tauruses are quite practical when it comes to romance, fashion, beauty, and even friendships. They have this natural beauty that doesn’t require much effort. Of course, despite the fact that Elsa was generally practical and reserved, Elsa liked “letting go” every once in a while. Apparently, Elsa has great taste in fashion when she “let’s go”. Elsa did all she wanted when she felt free, and what she wanted was a beautiful, glittery gown, a magnificent ice palace, and creative ice minions to do things at her command. Doesn’t that sound like the luxury-loving Taurus we all know? That reserved look can’t fool us Elsa! Venus likes to be loved and accepted, which was all Elsa wanted, too. But when Venus in Tauruses feel like outcasts, they don’t do well. Elsa ran away when her powers were revealed. Tauruses hate tense situations and would rather leave everything behind for a more comfortable situation. Tauruses loyally hold on as long as they can, which was why Elsa hid her powers in the first place. She tried to fit in. Eventually, however, she had to let it go and take it easy in order to feel comfortable in her own skin. Venus is the planet that wants us to be at peace with ourselves and to value ourselves, and in Taurus, she feels at ease with herself. Our Venus in Taurus ladies can be stubborn when it comes to this. Elsa refused to be taken back to Arendelle even by her sister Anna. She sent an ice monster on Anna to ensure that she stayed in her ice palace! Venus in Tauruses must beware of being so consumed with their own needs that they ignore the needs of others.

nancy tremaine

Speaking of Elsa, Idina Menzel, the same voice actress from Frozen, lent not only her real self for the Enchanted movie but also animated herself! She played Nancy Tremaine. Sure, in Enchanted, Nancy was not the perfect fairy tale princess, but Nancy was a real woman who dreamed of a fairy tale. Our Venus in Tauruses aren’t the fluffy romantics, but they love to be wined and dined and treated like royalty. It’s no wonder Nancy married a prince! And what a woman that prince married! She was a real woman who worked a good job and did important things. Our Venus in Taurus ladies are both strong and beautiful.

go_go_tomago_by_agustinus-d85evdq

And then we have the stubborn bulls. Yes, Taurus is infamous for their bull-like qualities. Taurus’s ruling planet is Venus, so these bulls are more rooted and stuck in their ways than any other planet in Taurus! It’s generally because these people are very comfortable with themselves. Go Go Tomago from Big hero 6 is an example of our stubborn bulls. She’s strong and stoic, very much like our strong, silent Venus in Taurus women. Go Go Tomago is cool, down-to-earth, and easy to relate to. Go Go Tomago is one tough cookie. See? Not all of our Venus in Taurus ladies are stereotypical. Some are tomboyish, too! Regardless of what they wear, however, Venus in Tauruses are always cool, calm, strong, and a bit reserved. Go Go, like Elsa, also took her time forming relationships. Venus in Tauruses generally seem a bit self-contained and don’t open up easily with people they don’t know well. But once you get to know them, they are generally sweet-hearts. So even though Venus is generally not always all over the tomboyish types, she can work with them if their personalities are more grounded and cool (rather than being around the brash and outspoken types of tomboys). This cool quality was Go Go’s most charming trait. And people can’t help but admire our cool Venus in Tauruses.

Mittens-disneys-bolt-3805830-500-350

Mittens from Bolt is also one of our stubborn and sassy Venus in Tauruses. The story behind Mittens is an example of Venus in Taurus’s saddest moment. Venus in Tauruses are fiercely loyal. But sadly, everyone isn’t as dedicated as they are. Thus, they often end up betrayed with loyalties being one-sided. They are generally unassuming and forgiving, so it can take them by surprise when someone betrays them. Loyalty is a strong value among Venus in Tauruses, and once you betray them, they are never the same. She became hardened and surviving became her #1 priority. Being an earth sign, our Venus in Tauruses are quiet strong. Even when life knocks them down, they know how to survive. Of course, once you lose the trust of a Venus in Taurus, it is hard to gain it back, just like in Mittens’ case when it came to humans. Venus in Tauruses naturally find it hard to warm up to people. Mittens was even a little reluctant to become friends with Bolt. She is quite down-to-earth and states things as she sees them.

cruella de vil

A word of caution for our Venus in Taurus ladies: They must beware of turning into Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians. One of our Venus in Taurus ladies brought this character to life, which is really cool. She’s one of Disney’s iconic villains! But this does bring up a point about Venus in Taurus. Venus in Tauruses love the finer things in life, and many of them become fashionistas, often owning all sorts of fashions (because they just like to own things, no matter how eclectic). Cruella de Vil rolled around in her De Vil car, smoking some fancy cigarette narghile. Venus rules beauty and pleasure, and in Taurus this sometimes takes the form of clothes, big houses, fancy cars, and anything they can indulge in. Our Venus in Tauruses must be careful of their greedy side. Cruella De Vil was so used to having fine authentic fur that she would stop at nothing to add rare animal fur to her collection. Most Venus in Tauruses love nature and wouldn’t usually want to hurt animals, especially cute little puppies, but some of our Venus in Taurus ladies are more concerned with the material world and maintaining their own luxurious lifestyles that they often don’t stop to think who they are hurting in the process. Sometimes their ideal lifestyles require a lot of maintenance. They would be wise to learn to be content with less and stay away from substances that may feel good but may be bad for them, i.e. smoking.

anastasia

Anastasia from Cinderella is another one of our more fashion-oriented Venus in Taurus characters. She is used to a wealthy life and often orders others around and has high demands. Again, our Venus in Tauruses must learn to be content without material things sometimes and they must overcome their lazier streaks. Still, Anastasia is more of the romantic between herself and her sister. It’s clear she just  wants to be loved. She also shows more of an interest in music, like most of our Venus in Tauruses.

Venus in Gemini

1371562322_gemini-money

Looking at the Disney characters our Venus in Gemini voice actresses chose to represent, we can conclude that they are various and love to try new things. While all of them vary in personality, the one trait they have in common is their strong curiosity. Our Geminis want to explore life and love. Our Venus in Geminis may often seem flighty, but they are actually really intelligent and resourceful! They definitely know how to make us all laugh.

Venus does not see Gemini as the most comfortable position for herself, but she has some things in common with Gemini. For starters, both are social and airy. Venus loves Gemini’s easy-going nature. Still, Geminis are quite independent and they aren’t known for being quiet. Pleasure for a Venus in Gemini usually comes in the form of trying new things and socializing. Venus is down for socializing, but a little uneasy when trying everything.

Women with this placement see themselves as fun, flirty, young, and vibrant. They see themselves as funny as well as intelligent.

Gemini is ruled by planet Mercury, the planet of communication. Communicating can come in various forms and so can lend various qualities. It can make them sociable, smart, funny, and thoughtful. Their Mercury signs influence how their Venus in Gemini is expressed. Mercury signs are very dependent on Sun signs. They can only be one place in front of the sun sign, identical to the sun sign, or one sign after. For instance, if the Sun is in Aries, Mercury can only be in Pisces, Aries, or Taurus, which is the sign before the sun, the sign identical to the sun, and the sign after the sun.

Again, Venus is also highly dependent on the Sun sign. It can only be two signs before the sun sign, identical to the sun sign, or two signs after.

So both planets are not too far away from the Sun.

If Mercury is in Gemini, Virgo, and some say Aquarius (though it’s not possible while Venus is in Gemini), Venus in Gemini qualities will be apparent right away. If Mercury is in Sagittarius (which isn’t possible while Venus is in Gemini), Pisces, and some say Leo, Venus in Gemini qualities won’t be apparent right away. The other signs are between the two half of the time.

No matter what sign Mercury is in, keep in mind that it is still the planet of communication.

Gemini is an air sign and is mutable. This makes them the most adaptable and most open-minded sign of all the signs.

Gemini is associated with the Twins because they have two sides to them.

Gemini’s opposite sign is Sagittarius.

princess anna

Princess Anna, one of the popular characters from the movie Frozen, is definitely fun, lively, and funny. She’s quirky and curious. In contrast with her sister, Anna was sociable and always wanted to dance at parties and meet new people. Gemini is the sign of communication and our Venus in Gemini ladies love to socialize and party which gives them the opportunity to mingle. They are anything but boring! Venus in Geminis are open to change when it comes to love. This makes them good friends to make, albeit a bit too easy-going and flighty in love. They are quite flirty and they can be fanciful romantics. Anna was yearning for change in the castle and easily allowed Hans into her life. She too quickly trusted him, but he turned out to be foul. Venus in Geminis should be careful about being to light and airy with people and should set more boundaries. But we like our fanciful Geminis! They make everything much more light, free, and exciting. While Elsa keeps up-tight and to herself, Anna lets loose and opens up to people. She’s also a good sister. Geminis are often associated with siblings, cousins, and extended family, and Anna is definitely a good sister to Elsa. She never judged her even when Elsa froze all of Arendelle. Venus in Geminis don’t hold grudges anyway. When Elsa ran away, Anna went after her. Our Venus in Geminis are independent and brave. Anna has her own mind and decided to find her sister, meeting a few helpful friends along the way. Venus in Geminis are the best at making friends!

minnie mouse

Our main Disney girl, the Queen of everything Disney, Minnie Mouse shares qualities with Venus in Geminis. Minnie’s main voice actress brings many of her sweet and intelligent qualities to life. Venus in Geminis like variety and Minnie Mouse is the mouse that transcends time because she has tried everything! What hasn’t Minnie Mouse been into? She’s quite fun-loving and intelligent and she has many hobbies. She’s another one of our hopeless romantics, and is very devoted to Mickey Mouse. She’s often seen with her best friend Daisy, so it’s clear that she’s never alone! Our Venus in Geminis hate to be alone. It’s so much more interesting to be around people, where all of the juicy stuff happens. Minnie is often described as feisty and she’s quite outspoken. Our Venus in Geminis love to talk and this often means telling things as they see it, even if it hurts.

Clarabelle

Clarabelle Cow is another close friend of Minnie’s and carries some of the strongest Gemini traits. She’s the most sociable character in the Disney world! She loves to attend social events. She also loves shopping and especially GOSSIP. Our Venus in Gemini loves all the juicy details going on in people’s lives. It’s one of the reasons they find socializing to be so much fun. They must be really careful not to destroy people’s lives or judge others based on gossip. Clarabelle often gossips about private matters that really upset Mickey and Minnie. But she’s generally well-mannered, though she’s also rather clumsy and quirky at the same time! Our quirky Venus in Geminis are so lovable.

tinkerbell_wallpaper_by_prissh-d6ehnx0

Tinkerbell is definitely one of the more iconic characters played by a Venus in Gemini. It’s not shocking a Venus in Gemini was attracted to her character. Geminis are always associated with the sprite, a fairy that flits from place to place. Tinkerbell is a “Tinker” fairy. Tinkers, like Tinkerbell, are curious and inventive. Gemini is an air sign. This makes them a mental sign, so they are always thinking about the world around them and inventing (or fixing) interesting things. Tinkerbell is opinionated, sassy, hot-tempered, and independent. Venus in Geminis most certainly won’t hesitate to express themselves and tend to be changeable in that expression. They do not ever hold their tongues. Tink can get a little mischievous when she’s angry or jealous, especially in love. Tinkerbell was Peter Pan’s best friend, so she was strongly jealous of Wendy. She played many mean tricks on Wendy and let bad things happen to her. Venus in Geminis don’t get jealous often, but when they do, watch out! Venus in Geminis must be careful not to cause too much trouble when they are angry with the people they love. The newest voice actress brought her voice to life in the recent films, and now we understand Tink more. Again, communication is important in the Venus in Gemini’s life. When they can’t speak, they often find more innovative ways of communicating, as Tinkerbell found a new way of speaking when she met a human for the first time. We love Tinkerbell because she’s curious and wants to explore. At one time, Tinkerbell didn’t want to be a Tinker fairy because Tinker fairies never went into the human world. That wasn’t going to sit right with the curious Tinkerbell! She used her clever wits to find her way into the human world. Our Venus in Geminis are definitely smart and beautiful!

kida

Speaking of smart and beautiful, Queen Kida from Atlantis the Lost Empire is both of those traits strongly wrapped in one. Venus in Geminis, like Kida, are highly intelligent and catch on quickly. Thus, many learn various skills. Kida was known to not only catch on to languages quickly but was also quite skilled in combat. She would usually kill outsiders on the spot! But she was quite curious about Atlantis’s past. Our Venus in Geminis can’t resist their curiosity. Kida is normally not friendly to outsiders, but when she found out Milo could speak her language, she became his friend. It’s easier for our Venus in Gemini ladies to warm up to others when they find something in common with another, especially when that person “speaks the same language”. Kida is said to be roughly about 8,000 years old! This says something about our Venus in Gemini ladies: They are forever young and beautiful, no matter how old they get!

Walt-Disney-Screencaps-Captain-Amelia-walt-disney-characters-36865684-5454-3237

Our Venus in Gemini ladies are quite the leaders in their own right. Not all are flighty, but they all remain curious. Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet is quick-witted, fast-talking, and highly educated. Our Venus in Gemini ladies are also quite sharp and size up people and situations quickly. Captain Amelia is lively and vivacious, taking full advantage of her feminine physique. Venus in Geminis are advantageous with lively spirits. They are generally infectious when in a crowd. “There you go, poetry” said Captain Amelia. Venus in Geminis are good at describing things and have a smooth way with words. Thus, they tend to be great at creative writing and poetry. They can write some beautiful stories! Venus in Geminis “love to chat” and often dominate conversations. But who wouldn’t want to listen? They always have something interesting to talk about! That’s their charm!

Eema_(Dinosaur)

Eema from Dinosaur is also more serious than the average Venus in Gemini. Still, she was the most light-hearted character from Dinosaur. The heaviness of the story sometimes makes it hard to see the positive, but Eema always manages to bring a joke in the mix and lighten the mood.

Io_Disgust_standard2

As I said before, Venus in Geminis are excellent at sizing people and situations up, and no one does that better than the emotion Disgust in the movie Inside Out. She always keeps a careful eye on Riley, her human body, and is highly opinionated and extremely honest. I think I mentioned how honest our Venus in Gemini ladies are. Disgust is quite sassy and will speak her mind, no matter what. This makes her cynical and sarcastic at times, but also funny because we were all thinking what she’s saying! Venus in Geminis bring that sort of laughter to the table. Her voice actress made her come alive and we all could strongly relate to her character. Even if we are trying to be nice, let’s be real, some things just disgust us. Leaves room for some juicy gossip, don’t you think?

eve

Our Venus in Geminis are often more than just intelligent. Let’s just say they can be down-right computerized, like the robot EVE from Wall-E. Our Venus in Geminis are always up-to-date with the latest gadgets and technology. Selfie? Probably invented by a Venus in Gemini. They know all the latest slang and know what new trend is occurring, being ruled by the planet of communication. This is the friend people always want around because they feel fresh all the time. Android phones were made for them. The friendly EVE is an example of how our Venus in Geminis can be beyond-this-world techies!

Vidia_800x600

Our Venus in Geminis can be tricky. They have many nice qualities, but sometimes they can be a little mischievous. Our fast-flying fairy Vidia from the Tinkerbell series is brought to life by a Venus in Gemini. Vidia can be snarky, vindictive, and tricky. She and Tinkerbell are rivals, but clearly they have a lot more in common than they think! Our Venus in Geminis, again, must be very careful of being vindictive when they aren’t happy with someone. Still, our Venus in Geminis have a good heart and sometimes the pranks they play are to teach a good lesson to those who need it. This mischievous quality makes them good at planning surprise parties for their friends! But can they keep it secret I wonder? 😉 It’s ironic that she’s a fast-flying fairy. Gemini is an air sign, and there is no better sign that can bestow “airy” gifts than Gemini. Our Venus in Gemini humans don’t literally fly, but they do often get around quite fast from place to place, especially in their cars. If Venus in Geminis love any inventions, one of them would definitely be the car…

zarina

Another one of our tricky Venus in Gemini fairies is the Pirate Fairy from the Tinkerbell series, Zarina. Like all Venus in Geminis, her charm is her feisty personality and her curiosity. She was definitely a misunderstood genius. She was once a dust fairy and was intrigued by blue pixie dust. This led to her discovering more about pixie dust. Our genius Venus in Geminis are so curious, they often want to explore things, even when those things are dangerous for them. Our Venus in Geminis must be careful getting with the wrong crowd out of curiosity, as our little dust fairy friend did when she became a pirate. Though pirates typically steal and trick others, which our Venus in Gemini ladies should be careful of, being a female pirate certainly is cool.

ursula

Venus in Geminis have such tricky qualities, you must be warned to “sweeten” your people skills before you end up like Ursula, one of Disney’s most iconic villains from The Little Mermaid. Venus in Geminis love to socialize, but they often aren’t the most caring individuals. Ursula is manipulative, crafty, but very persuasive. When she wants something, she often strikes deals with people. But many of these deals leave the other party short while Ursula benefits most. Our Venus in Geminis must be careful of being manipulative when they want something, whether fashion, a love interest, or someone’s voice, and they should be careful that they are fair in their dealings with others. The irony is that Ursula took Ariel’s voice. Communication is the most valuable thing to Venus in Geminis, which was why Ursula wanted Ariel’s voice in exchange for turning Ariel into a human. Ursula is pretty advanced for a sea creature. She doesn’t just strike deals with people; she creates contracts which bind her deal-makers into hurtful situations. Venus in Geminis must always be careful not to strike unfair bargains when dealing with people. You’re so clever, use it for good. Despite Ursula’s flaws, she has a wicked sense of humor! Our Venus in Geminis are also really good with the pet names, especially with their close friends and lovers.

Taffyta_muttonfudge

Those Venus in Geminis can certainly be tricky. Taffyta Muttonfudge from Wreck-It-Ralph is an example of this. She was good at appearing charming in front of players, but behind it all, harbored a mean spirit. Some of our Venus in Gemini friends are known for having “two-faces”. They must be careful that they aren’t wearing a two-faced attitude. Being phony isn’t flattering to anyone. The good part is that Taffyta was willing to admit her mistakes in the end. Being a mutable sign, Venus in Geminis are open to changing their attitudes.

Venus in Cancer

1371562353_cancer-money

Our Venus in Cancer voice actresses seem to be highly attracted to some of the most humble and hard-working characters in the Disney franchise! Our Venus in Cancer characters dream big for sure, but they never lose sight of those that have supported them. They are strongly family-oriented and protective. We just love our Venus in Cancer sweet-hearts. You’ll hardly see any of them venture towards the “dark” side for too long. They care too much for people.

Venus doesn’t feel the most comfortable in Cancer, but she has many things in common with Cancer. For starters, she’s comfort-loving just like Cancer is. They both love to pamper themselves. Cancer is “yin” energy and is therefore very quiet and subtle, just like Venus. However, while Venus is more superficial and judgmental, Cancer is a little more understanding and caring. They care less about their appearance and care more about their inner qualities. Cancer is a water sign, Venus is an air planet. Venus is social, Cancer is a bit introverted. Still, they are both strong feminine energies. Cancer is ruled by the greater feminine planet, the Moon, and Venus is the lower feminine planet.

These women see themselves as kind, compassionate, sensitive, interested in fairy tales, romantic, caring, and family-oriented. They definitely love their mothers. They feel a certain connection with being a mother.

Because Cancer is ruled by the Moon, the planet of emotions, certain qualities will be associated with these people. Emotions can bring many different traits out of a person. It can make a person sensitive, caring, and touched or moody, snappy, and irritable. Emotions can range from sadness, to happiness, anger, to fear. Thus, these people are multi-faceted in nature. Ironically, none of the female heroines from Inside Out were portrayed by anyone with this Venus sign. XD Venus in Cancers’ moon signs influence the expression of their Venus in Cancer. Moon signs can be in any one of the 12 signs in the zodiac. But keep in mind that Moon is still the emotions. Venus in Cancer’s Moon signs influence how their Venus sign qualities will be expressed.

Cancer is a water sign and a cardinal sign. The water makes them emotional but the cardinal lends them leadership.

Cancer is associated with the crab because they tend to hold strongly to things as if they have pincers.

Cancer’s opposite sign is Capricorn.

belle

One of Disney’s most infamous princesses, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, happens to be portrayed by a Venus in Cancer personality. Our lovely Belle is one of Disney’s greatest dreamers. Belle loves to read because books often take her away on magical adventures. Belle is a modest girl, not worrying herself with mundane activities such as marriage and provincial living. She’s far too imaginative for that! Our Venus in Cancer ladies tend to be adventurous and tend to love reading books about far-off places. They aren’t interested in boring or dull lifestyles, despite the claim that they are boring homebodies. Though they don’t always want to be married to just anyone, they are dreamy romantics and do hope to find their prince charming. Still, they are also much more practical than people realize, and Belle used her intuition and good sense when turning down Gaston. Belle found her “prince charming” in unexpected ways. Venus in Cancers tend to attract others who are underdogs and perhaps unnoticed, like the Beast. In her life, she learned to look past appearances. Venus in Cancers are often looking for lovers who are kind-hearted and sweet. Though Belle didn’t see it there before, she eventually saw these qualities in the Beast. Our Venus in Cancers tend to care how people are on the inside, not the outside. They are anything but superficial, even if they do dress nice every once in a while. Venus in Cancers are rather self-contained and don’t like to draw too much attention to themselves. Belle didn’t really care for all the flattery she received from Gaston. She was looking for someone who cared about her and her papa. Belle is also very close to her only family, her father, and she was fiercely protective of him. In fact, he was the reason she met the Beast. When her father didn’t come home from a trip through the forest, Belle went after him and rescued him from the Beast. She became a prisoner in her father’s place. After being a prisoner of the Beast, she really got the adventure of a lifetime!

snow white

Snow White is another classic princess portrayed by a Venus in Cancer. Snow White is a tender-hearted young woman, just like our Venus in Cancers. That sweet voice made Snow White the apple of everyone’s eye! Snow White was hard-working, like most of our Venus in Cancers. Despite the fact that the queen was evil and forced Snow White to work, Snow White never once judged the queen and cleaned the castle as the queen asked. Even in rags, Snow White was naturally beautiful, inside and out. Our Venus in Cancers may look beautiful on the outside, but they have such kind hearts, they are beautiful on the inside as well. Venus in Cancers care about others and they often are shown caring for something. Snow White was very close with animals. She cared about them. Venus in Cancers often love little cute animals and babies. They just have an urge to care for something! When Snow White went to live with the Seven Dwarfs, she was a motherly figure in their lives. Since Cancer rules over the home and is ruled by the greater feminine planet, they are often associated with the figurative mother. When Snow White thought she’d stumbled into a cottage for little children, she thought it was so sad the place was a wreck and attributed it to the fact they had no mother. Even after she found out the dwarfs were little men, she cooked and cleaned for them. She took very good care of the dwarfs and they couldn’t help but love her for all she’d done for them. She even told them bedtime stories. Like most Venus in Cancers, Snow White was a big dreamer and they often tell wonderful stories. She dreamed of her prince coming to find her. Most may wonder why she never went after her prince. Well, maybe because she was too shy! When the prince first met her, she ran inside her castle. I’m sure she would’ve acted the same way had she gone searching for the prince. Our Venus in Cancers try to be brave, but they are really shy around people. Even when the dwarfs found her in their bed, she somewhat hid herself behind her covers. Aww, that’s what makes them even sweeter! Of course, Snow White can be too forgiving and too caring. She never judges people on the outside, which is why she allowed the evil queen (in disguise form) into her house, though she was clearly told not to let any strangers in. Cancers are hospitable and never turn away anyone who is suffering or needs their help. But sometimes, people take advantage of these generous individuals. They must be careful with who they trust and must learn to set limits.

Tiana

Tiana, Disney’s other notorious princess from the Princess and the Frog, was also a big dreamer. Tiana dreamed of opening her own restaurant, a dream her father had. Tiana is clearly family-oriented, and most Venus in Cancers are. Her parents played an important role in her life. Tiana’s life centered on following her father’s dream, and what she learns is the importance of setting aside her ambitions in order to focus on the ones she loves. Despite her focus on work, she does enjoy humor, music, quality time with loved ones, and dancing. Our Venus in Cancers are very caring and often times consume their lives with helping others, but they know how to let loose every once in a while. Ironically, Tiana was interested in opening a restaurant. Cancer, the sign of domestic living, often produces individuals who enjoy the “homey” things in life, which includes cooking and eating. Venus in Cancers love food, especially meals that remind them of “home”.  Tiana’s best friend, Charlotte is treated like a sister. Venus in Cancers treat their closest friends like family. Venus in Cancers don’t size up friends based on race, social status, or appearance. Charlotte was a wealthy white girl, but Tiana didn’t mind. This makes Venus in Cancers the best friends to ever have in your corner. It’s fitting that Tiana wants to run a business. Cancer rules the sign of nurturing, but this doesn’t always mean this quality only applies to the home and family. Venus in Cancer natives are good at nurturing or helping anything grow, including a business. Just like Tiana, they tend to be quite successful, too.

Lilo-Wallpaper-lilo-and-stitch-5702055-1024-768

Our Venus in Cancers really do love their families. “Ohana means family, family means no one gets left behind.” You guessed it! Lilo from Lilo and Stitch carries the Venus in Cancer traits very well. Home and family were two very important things in Lilo’s life. She didn’t have much family. Her sister was the only person she had until Stitch came into her life. Stitch equally didn’t have much family. Lilo may seem a bit eccentric to outsiders. She’s not a socialite. After her parents died, she separated herself from other children. She’s highly sensitive; I’m sure our Venus in Cancers can relate. However, our loony Cancers do have a quirky sense of humor! And just like all Venus in Cancers, they never judge people from the outside. Lilo didn’t mind that stitch didn’t look or act normal. She loved him anyway. She added him to the family and was fiercely protective of him, even hopping aboard a space ship to save his life.

Merryweather-sleeping-beauty-6538108-300-272

Merryweather is one of the good fairies from Sleeping Beauty who tried desperately to protect Briar Rose (Princess Aurora) from feeling the wrath of Maleficent. Maleficent put a curse on Aurora threatening to kill her on her sixteenth birthday. The fairies offered to take the princess to a cottage deep within the forest and they fiercely protect her, raising her to be weary of strangers and dressing her plainly to hide her charms. Merryweather was the feistiest of the three fairies. She may have seemed a bit grouchy (many of our Venus in Cancers come across that way), but she was the most protective of all the fairies. She was highly against Aurora mingling with strangers and made sure that Aurora was safe. In fact, if it weren’t for Merryweather, Aurora would’ve been dead for good after pricking her finger on the spinning wheel. Merryweather was the fairy that put the spell on Aurora that would allow someone she loved to kiss her to break Maleficent’s spell. Being a single parent is rough, but Merryweather and her fellow friend fairies took on the job of both caring and protecting Aurora. That was pretty brave of them! Merryweather may be the opinionated mother, but she definitely has a good heart. Her closest friend fairies were her closest family members. Don’t our Venus in Cancers love their friends dearly?

Sergeant-Calhoun

Our Venus in Cancers do have a hard shell, being the symbol of the crab. Just like Merryweather, Sergeant Calhoun from Wreck it Ralph is one tough cookie. Not all of our Venus in Cancer women take motherly roles in the most obvious ways. But Sergeant Calhoun certainly kept her protective instincts. Being a soldier, she fought to protect her land (game) by taking up arms. Our Cancers rule the motherland or homeland, and many of these women take up arms to protect those they love. Calhoun has had quite the emotional past and our Venus in Cancers’ pasts greatly affect who they are. Despite her “hard shell”, which our Cancers are known to have, she has a big heart. She was quite attracted to Felix because of his “innocence and kindness”. And apparently, she also has a romantic side. Our Venus in Cancers really do.

judy hopps

Our latest character, Judy Hopps from Zootopia, is another one who seems to have a hard shell, but is really sweet. She has a tremendous heart and a loony sense of humor. Her kindness is often mistaken for naivety, which is very true of our Venus in Cancers, but they are not dumb at all. They can be very sensitive and emotional, just like Miss Hopps, and when they are upset you will see their wrath. Like most of our Venus in Cancers, she is protective and will do whatever it takes to defend her city. This is why she was drawn to the police force in the first place! She really wants to help people and improve the world. Judy is still really dreamy and “starry-eyed”. Most of our Venus in Cancers want to see the good in the world. It can really hurt them when things don’t turn out as ideal as they planned. The past tends to affect them in the future. Whatever happened long ago, follows them. Much of her motivation to become a police “bunny” had to do with her own past of being bullied and not being seen as an “equal”.

Honey_lemon_pc_1

Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6 is proof that our Venus in Cancers are very intelligent. She happens to be one of the characters portrayed by someone with Venus in Cancer. In Big Hero 6, she was the most supportive and sympathetic friend in the film. Like most Venus in Cancers, she was hospitable and made Hiro feel at home with his new group of friends. She wasn’t shy like other Cancers, but she carries the awkwardly quirky qualities well. She was the friend who cared about everyone and kept everyone smiling, no matter what happened. Our Venus in Cancers never fail to be the sweethearts in any bunch they’re in. Again, friendship is very important to Venus in Cancers, and they literally see them as family. Because they care so much about their family and friends, they will do anything to protect them. She bravely fought off the villain in her story to protect Hiro and all of her friends.periwinkle

Periwinkle, Tinkerbell’s fraternal twin sister, also inherits the Venus in Cancer qualities. She’s just as curious and adventurous as Tinkerbell is, though she’s a bit more mature. This fairy has shown herself to be a caring and loving twin sister. She’s warm and friendly, just like all of our other Venus in Cancer ladies. As a winter fairy, Periwinkle couldn’t really cross the border to see Tink. But like most of our Venus in Cancers, she was a big dreamer. She always dreamed of crossing the border.

wilhelmina

Our Venus in Cancers should be careful of loving “home” a little too much the point they end up lazy. Wilhelmina Packard from Atlantis the Lost Empire was played by a Venus in Cancer. Venus in Cancers aren’t always the most active individuals. They DO work hard. That’s for certain. In fact, majority of the time, most people can find them consumed with their work. They usually need to nurture something, and work allows them to care about something other than themselves. But they aren’t really active types. Venus in Cancers should also be careful of forming good habits…and not bad ones. Being ruled by the moon, it’s easy for Cancers to form habit. Wilhelmina was a chain-smoker. Be careful of forming habits that may be bad for your health. Venus in Cancer like to indulge in things and cater to their own needs, even if these “needs” are just feeding bad habits.

xion

Many of our Venus in Cancers are highly misjudged and misunderstood. This is strongly due to their complex emotional nature. They are changeable. But they are also a bit introverted and shy as well, which can lead people into thinking they are unfriendly, passive, or untrustworthy. This is the opposite of true. Like Xion, from the Kingdom Hearts series, they may seem a little mysterious and hard to read, but actually they are some of the friendliest people around! Xion, unlike other Nobodies, expresses emotions openly and she can be highly emotional when provoked. She loves being around her friends and, in fact, they are her only family. She deeply cares about others and even gave up her life to help Sora. That’s the kind of friend you’d have around if they were your friends! Memories are a key part of her life. Ironically, Cancer is ruled by the Moon, a planet that rules over memories. Xion wanted to seek out her memories to piece together who she was. Xion had a connection with seashells. Cancer is a water sign and seashells are usually found off of the beach. Venus in Cancers also collect things that remind them of cherished times as well. Our Venus in Cancers must truly follow their intuition and never let anyone make them feel invisible. Xion is that lost Nobody character, but she made herself memorable. Venus in Cancers have the ability to stick to people’s memories.

rose

Venus in Cancers should be extra careful that they remain open-minded. Venus in Cancers are generally hospitable. They usually take the lead as “mothers” in any group, just like the Rose from Alice in Wonderland. Still, if they sense that something about someone else doesn’t “fit” with what they are familiar with, they tend to reject them. Some Venus in Cancers should remain open to people even if certain people don’t have the same beliefs or even if someone doesn’t respect the same things they do. Venus in Cancers are highly connected with their place of birth and so it’s hard for them to warm up to foreigners. They should bring their warm qualities even to people who don’t share their customs.

Venus in Leo

1371562741_leo-money

From observing our Venus in Leos, there is nothing they can’t do! Ruled by the gracious Sun, they certainly know how to do things to bring attention to themselves! They are brave, adventurous, curious, forever young, sexy, and charismatic. They are “all woman”. This is due to their confidence. They have a strong will and when they set out to do something, they do it, letting nothing stop them! This gives them a commanding presence.

Venus doesn’t feel extremely comfortable in this fire sign, but she has some things in common with Leo. Unlike Leo, Venus doesn’t gel really well with the Sun (the Sun falls in the sign she rules, Libra). Leo loves attention and is dramatic. Venus prefers to be quiet and considerate, not bringing any more attention to herself than she gives to others. Leo can be demanding, Venus is yielding and soft. Leo is proud, confident, and independent. Venus is the opposite of independent. But Venus and Leos both care very much about their appearances. They both are luxury-loving and pleasure-seeking. They are both artistic and creative. And they are both romantic.

These women see themselves as the “queen”. They see themselves as creative, fun, funny, and the life of every party. They see themselves as strong and confident. They are attracted to the glamorous in life.

Venus in Leos are ruled by the Sun, the planet of Ego, so certain qualities will be associated with these people. The ego is the “I” or self of a person. This means that many of these people may be focused on themselves quite a bit. This doesn’t always mean they will be self-centered. But this does mean they will be focused on creating themselves, developing who they are, and finding out their own capabilities much of their life. They know what they want out of life and they stick to it. They are strongly individualistic and have unique personalities. These individuals will always seem to stand out and grab attention. Venus in Leos’ Sun signs will influence how these Venus signs will be expressed.

Venus is highly dependent on the Sun, as mentioned before, and even more so when she’s in Leo. The Sun signs influence how the Venus in Leo will be expressed (these are the only Venus signs where Sun signs, often called “zodiac signs” actually play a role). Venus in Leo is only capable of having five different Sun signs, so not everyone can enjoy Venus in Leo. Sun can only be two signs before Leo, Leo itself, or two signs after Leo in order for Venus to enter Leo. Why? Because that’s how the planets are positioned in space.

If the Sun is in Leo or Aries (which isn’t possible while Venus is in Leo), Venus in Leo qualities will be apparent right away. If the Sun was in Aquarius (which doesn’t happen while Venus is in Leo), Venus in Leo qualities wouldn’t be apparent right away. Sun naturally also is uncomfortable in Libra, BUT considering Leo is ruled by the Sun and Libra is ruled by Venus, if you happen to have Sun in Libra with Venus in Leo, you’d have a mutual reception. In other words, they are ruled by each others’ planets. Venus in Leo qualities thus may be more apparent than for other positions with Leo. Still, there may be moments where these individuals surprise you.

Leo is a fire sign, which makes them leaders, but they are fixed so they are powerfully rooted as well. They are leaders and that’s never going to change.

Leo is often associated with the Lion because they are generally confident leaders, ferocious, and dramatic, as well as pleasure-loving.

Leo’s opposite sign is Aquarius.

Alice in wonderland

Alice, from Alice in Wonderland, is portrayed by a Venus in Leo. Leo is ruled by the Sun, which often reflects the inner child inside of us. Alice was a child! Alice’s charm was being a fun, friendly little girl. Our Venus in Leos never forget their inner child, so most of them always seem young no matter how old they get. Alice was curious and adventurous, just like most of our Venus in Leos. They are quite willful, too. Alice was determined to follow that White Rabbit, even when following him seemed to cause more trouble than it was worth. Our dear Alice brought much attention to herself as a result. She was quite gregarious which was why she met so many people. Our Venus in Leos are quite the socialites and are very popular. Of course, the world was created by Alice herself. This shows the amazing creativity our Leos have. When they put their minds to something, they can create completely new worlds. Many Venus in Leos thus make excellent writers, artists, film directors/producers/screenwriters, actresses, and fashion designers. They can really be anything they want to be! They really try to be brave in every situation and they always try to speak up for themselves. When the Queen of Hearts was being unreasonable with Alice, Alice spoke up and defended herself, despite the consequences. People often can’t help but admire Venus in Leos.

wendy darling

Wendy Darling from Peter Pan was another character originally portrayed by a Venus in Leo. In fact, it was the same voice actress as Alice’s. What both characters have in common is that they are children. Again, many of our Venus in Leos are attracted to youthful roles. It’s definitely because they never lose sight of that inner child. In fact, they may want to stay young forever, where life is fun and responsibility-free! Wendy is just like our pleasure-seeking Venus in Leos. They hate dull and ordinary things. They’d rather dream of fantastical worlds, create themselves, and just have fun with life. Wendy never wanted to grow up. She went to Neverland because she loved being a child. Still, Leos also want to be important and do important things. So even though they love staying a child, many can’t wait to grow up and become important people in the world. Thus, many of our Venus in Leos have a child-like side and a very mature side. Wendy loved Neverland, but she recognized when it was time for her to go home. Our Venus in Leos are quite dramatic, aren’t they? Both Alice and Wendy wanted to be in more fun and dramatic worlds, definitely anything but ordinary! Our Venus in Leos are truly unique. I’ve also noticed that many Venus in Leos see themselves as the mother of any group. This could be because they tend to be confident leaders, tend to give very good advice, and are quite bossy.

Animated_Giselle

Of course, not all Venus in Leo actresses were attracted to children. Still, most Venus in Leos have a way with children. Giselle from Enchanted certainly did! She came from a world where wishes came true and happy endings were the norm. But coming to New York City, in an entirely different universe, proved challenging for her. She was used to more positive people, and reality can be a bit negative sometimes. Leo is ruled by the Sun. The Sun makes people happier and “sunnier”. Most Venus in Leos prefer to look at the positive side of life. And this brings so much attention to them! This makes them attractive. People often want to bask in their warm glow. Giselle was so positive that she got everyone in the park to sing along to her love musical! She made everyone smile. That’s Venus in Leos’ charm! She was even able to charm the more realistic Robert and his daughter with her warm magnanimous glow! Giselle is also extremely romantic. Our Venus in Leos are dramatically romantic and love to be wined, dined, and the center of someone’s attention. It’s important for Venus in Leos to feel special in someone’s life. Venus in Leos are also funny. You have to admit, Amy Adams added humor to the usual Disney stereotype. Venus in Leos have such colorful worlds they can make anyone’s life happier. This is why Giselle made the perfect mother for Robert’s daughter.

rosetta-2048-2048-v1

Speaking of humor, Rosetta from the Tinkerbell series carries the humorous wit and charm of the Venus in Leo who originally portrayed her, Kristin Chenoweth.  Rosetta is the oldest, so she somewhat takes the lead in giving advice, especially giving beauty tips! Our Venus in Leo individuals do love to look their best! Leo is a confident and proud sign. They have their dignity to uphold. So our Venus in Leo always make sure that they look fabulous. Rosetta is quite generous. She’s often the fairy that gives make-overs to her friends, animals, and even flowers. She is a flower fairy after all! Just like all of our Venus in Leo ladies, Rosetta is creative and is very good at creating beautiful flowers. Venus in Leo people are highly attracted to glamorous people and situations. Rosetta is the kind of character that can become smitten by a prince quite quickly! I did mention they are romantic, right? And of course, no matter how old our Venus in Leos are, they never look it! Rosetta is the oldest of her fairy friends, but fairies never age, so Rosetta doesn’t look it! Our Venus in Leos certainly have an interest with Neverland, don’t you agree?

Bridget_(The_Wild)

Bridget from The Wild was also one of our attractive Venus in Leos. She’s considered beautiful and funny. She’s easily pampered. Our Venus in Leos love luxury and to be pampered. Still, they want to be seen as independent and strong. She’s considered a “goddess”. Our Venus in Leos carry a lot of charisma which makes them attractive to many suitors. Though she acted like Benny was a nuisance, she really liked him. Our Venus in Leos may play hard to get, but deep down they love to be flattered and admired.

rosie

Rosie from A Bug’s Life carries the motherly and humorous qualities well, though in an unusual way. Rosie is the mother figure around the other bugs in her circus family and plays the mother figure among the ants as well.

Colette

But our Venus in Leo women are more than just motherly women and dreamy romantics, they are strong leaders. Again, they have a commanding presence. Our Venus in Leos are powerful women, often besting much of their competition at whatever they do. They prove to others that women are capable of being and doing anything they want! Colette Tatou from Ratatouille was the only female chef in her kitchen and she worked hard to prove she was capable. It’s not unusual to find our Venus in Leos in male-dominated fields. Being ruled by the greater masculine planet, the Sun, these women have so much confidence in themselves. They know they are capable of achieving great things when they put their minds to it. Colette herself is tough and assertive. Our Venus in Leos are known to be tough. They hardly let anything break them and don’t admire or respect weaknesses in others, either. Still, like Colette, they are helpful and generous, even with those who are weak. Colette was willing to help Linguini though he was clumsy in the kitchen. She even risked her career to help Linguini and Remy, a rat. She had to be extremely confident in her own abilities to do something like that!

aqua

Aqua from the Kingdom Hearts series is another example of our strong Venus in Leo females. Aqua was the only one of her friends to become a keyblade master, a title usually bestowed upon the men in the series. She beat Terra in a battle, proving that she was strong enough to overcome the darkness in her heart. Ironically, Leo rules the heart. Venus in Leos have strong, big hearts. Their will is unbeatable. They firmly believe in whatever it is they believe in and they stick by what they want. Aqua stuck to her own ideas about light and darkness. This strong will allowed her to help her friends and save the different worlds all throughout her story.

Tiff 10000x4184, 4 channel image

Our Venus in Leos are rare gems in the world. Their abilities and personalities are second to none. Maybe that’s why a Venus in Leo was so attracted to the role of a Porsche 911 Carrera named Sally Carrera from Cars. Sally is quite the exquisite car for her time. Sally was once a high-powered attorney, but she left that fast lane life and moved to Radiator Springs. She became an attorney in the small town and worked on preserving the town’s historical beauty (which actually is based off of the original Route 66 historical road). She plays quite a sophisticated role. She used her money to buy the Cozy Cone motel and restored it back to good condition. She definitely shows that females are capable of doing anything they put their minds to! Our Venus in Leos tend to take the lead in many projects like this. They always involve themselves with new ventures and never waste any of their talents or gifts. Ruled by the Sun, the planet of leadership and the role model, they definitely set the pattern for others to follow. I did mention our Venus in Leos are romantic, right? And they tend to be attracted to the celebrities, too! Venus in Leos love luxury, and a big celebrity partner promises a comfortable and glamorous lifestyle. Though Sally could hold her own financially, Lightening McQueen, a race car, did make her life a little more glamorous than it was.

the queen

It’s true that our Venus in Leos are leaders. In fact, they are born to be queens! The Queen from A Bug’s Life was played by a Venus in Leo. Unlike her daughter, she is more confident and relaxed in her role as Queen. She’s able to laugh at herself. Though she generally takes things lightly, and was relatively nice to Flik, there were certain things she couldn’t tolerate, such as deception. Venus in Leos hate liars!

sadness

Of course, not all of our Venus in Leos are extremely strong. Our Venus in Leos can be melodramatic just like they can be dramatically positive, especially if their Sun sign is in a water sign, considering Leo is ruled by the Sun (In Sadness’s case, her Sun sign has everything to do with this). Most of our Venus in Leos would like to be happy mostly, but sometimes they believe in openly expressing themselves and not hiding who they really are. That includes their feelings. Sadness from Inside Out was played by a Venus in Leo. Sadness really wants to prove her place among the other emotions, but it’s hard to understand her. Most people don’t understand how important it is for humans to be sad. Still, despite her sadness, she is compassionate, thoughtful, and kind, like most of our Venus in Leos.

daisy duck

Yet, despite our Venus in Leo’s good-natured hearts, our Venus in Leos can be type-A, executive personality types. This is mostly because they are confident they have the most efficient way to do everything. Still, they can be rather bossy and pushy with bad tempers. Daisy Duck is such a character. She was always a loyal, loving girlfriend, like most of our loyal Venus lionesses. But sometimes, she’s so high maintenance and demanding, she nags at Donald to try and change him into what she thinks he should be. Our Venus in Leos must be careful that they don’t set their standards so high. They must learn to ease up and not be so pushy. Daisy also loves the spotlight and is competitive. Our Venus in Leos definitely want to be the best. But they must be careful they don’t let that inner diva shine too brightly. Not everyone can handle their need for attention and many may feel more annoyed by their presence rather than appreciate it. Still, like Daisy, Venus in Leos are fashion-forward and fun-loving! They also really care about their friends and will do anything to help a friend in need.

jessicarabbit

Last thing to remember about our Venus in Leos are their seductive charisma. This seductive charisma can be sexy and entrancing. But if not channeled well, these seductive charms can be used manipulatively. Jessica Rabbit, from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, happens to be one of our seductive Venus in Leos, but she used these powers well. She is sexy, voluptuous, and steamy hot. This woman may come across like a femme fatale, and she seemed like the woman responsible for her husband’s misfortune. But she was actually extremely loyal to him and cared about him. She liked him because he made her laugh, which is a sure way to a Venus in Leo’s heart! Our Venus in Leos tend to be highly attractive to the opposite sex because they radiate confidence and know how to bring attention to themselves. Jessica knew how to sing and dance to heat up a crowd! But our Venus in Leos, no matter how flirty or flattered they are by other suitors, would never cheat or step out on their relationships. They are decisive and know what they want. Still, who can deny their boiling charisma? They should be a little more careful about their “innocent” flirting. It can get them into a lot of trouble. Not everyone appreciates that.

mirage

Mirage, from The Incredibles, was portrayed by a Venus in Leo, and she was also quite seductive. But unlike Jessica Rabbit, she was the definition of femme fatale. She used her powers of persuasion to influence Mr. Incredible to return to his super hero work, which caused problems with his family. In this case, sometimes Venus in Leos can use their charisma and charms for evil if they aren’t careful. They must be careful not to take what is someone else’s and must be careful not to wreck people’s homes. They must be careful to avoid wanting power over others and they must learn to temper some of their luxury-loving sides just a bit. Venus in Leos may want to look attractive, but they must be careful that they focus on their inner qualities because those are just as beautiful as the qualities on the outside. And still, when they become aware of these charms, they should always try to remember not to use these qualities for selfish gain.

Venus in Virgo

1371562767_virgo-money

Our Venus in Virgo voice actresses can surprise you! They are independent thinkers, helpful, youthful, and intelligent! Because of this, they actually tend to make excellent leaders. Our Venus in Virgos can be interested in love sometimes, but they are fully capable of handling themselves!

Venus is entering its sign of fall when it enters Virgo. Again, like with Aries, this doesn’t mean they aren’t lovable, charming, attractive, or interested in love. However, this placement is very limiting for Venus. Virgo is not totally opposite Venus like Mars’s sign Aries. But Virgo is a practical earth sign and is ruled by Mercury. Therefore, Venus isn’t as glamorous when she’s in this sign. Venus is the planet of pleasure and love. Virgo is the Virgin. This doesn’t always take a sexual tone. It can often mean independent or unmarried, which can be equal to a prostitute or single mother. In any case, Virgo doesn’t really need a partner all the time. Virgo is hard-working and practical, wanting to efficiently do everything themselves because they are perfectionists. Venus is lazy and co-dependent. Virgo is picky which makes it hard for Venus to find a lover easily. Virgos are shy and particular, so they don’t open up to everyone, so it’s hard for the charms of Venus to show. Venus can be romantic and fanciful, but Virgo is always realistic when thinking about relationships, love, and pleasure. In fact, Virgos often sacrifice pleasure. They work hard to help others and find pleasure in the simplest of things. But like Venus, Virgos do want to be loved. Virgo is concerned about keeping a neat, understated appearance which Venus can appreciate. Virgo and Venus have a lot in common, but trying to get Venus to come out is much harder in this sign than with others. Venus in Virgos must learn to let their guards down and let loose on some of the demands on their invisible checklists.

Still, Venus must enter Virgo and Virgo has a lesson to teach the Goddess of Pleasure: the value of hard work. When Venus enters Virgo, she learns that her charms and good looks can’t get her everything in this world. Sometimes, charm is more appealing and worth it when someone has worked hard to improve on themselves and worked to develop those charms. Pleasures are more enjoyable when we have the satisfaction of knowing we worked for it. Relationships are not all about romance and physical, emotional, and mental satisfaction, but it is also a duty that requires both parties to work hard to make it work. When Venus enters Virgo, she begins to notice the little things a person does rather than the overt romantic things. She notices when her lover carries her items, helps with chores, or fixes something she needs fixed. She’s satisfied when her beau simply notices when she does the littlest things. Telling a Venus in Virgo that you like the way her eyes glitter in candlelight and how she wrinkles her nose when she smiles are detail-oriented comments that show her you’re paying attention to her and that you appreciate her. If she has that, she doesn’t really need a fancy date or someone with a lot of money. Still, when Venus in Virgo doesn’t feel those little things are noticed, her demands increase and she tends to be fussy about everything. Overall, though, she’s generally humble. The vain Venus can learn a lot from Virgo, the intelligent one, the one who is expert at the art of life and love.

Women with this placement see themselves as “real” women. They see themselves as intelligent. They see themselves as different from the “ideals” society places women under. These women see themselves as independent, as women who can take care of themselves, and as women who question things.

Virgo is ruled by planet Mercury. Mercury is the planet of communication. Communication can come in various forms, but overall it makes these individuals curious, talkative, analytical, intelligent, and funny. Mercury signs are very dependent on sun signs. The Mercury signs can only be one sign before the Sun sign, identical to the Sun sign, and one sign after. If the Sun is in Virgo, for example, Mercury can only be in Leo, Virgo, or Libra. Venus in Virgos’ Mercury signs will influence how they express their Venus sign.

Again, Venus is also dependent on the Sun, only being two places before the sun sign, identical to the sun sign, or two places after.

If Mercury is in Gemini (which isn’t possible while Venus is in Virgo) , Virgo, or some say Aquarius (which also isn’t possible while Venus is in Virgo), Venus in Virgo qualities will be more apparent. If Mercury is in Pisces (which isn’t possible while Venus is in Virgo), Sagittarius, and some say Leo, then Venus in Virgo qualities won’t be as apparent.

Virgo is an earth sign and is mutable. They are practical and material, but they are adaptable and changeable. This makes them efficient workers. They can work anywhere doing anything.

Virgo is often associated with the Virgin. This is because the Virgin has always been associated with pure, angel-like creatures and Virgos tend to expect things to be perfect in many ways, without any mistakes.

Virgo’s opposite sign is Pisces.

ariel

One of our biggest Venus in Virgo characters is Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Bright, curious, and intelligent, Ariel wanted to see the human world. She was quite fascinated with human life and added many of their items in her grotto. You can call her grotto her personal study. Our Venus in Virgos love to learn, being ruled by planet Mercury, and they are interested in “gadgets and gizmos”. It’s also not surprising that Ariel wasn’t satisfied with her life in the ocean Virgos can be quite critical, so it’s not hard to imagine them seeking “perfection” elsewhere. This story ironically coincides with one of the actual stories behind Virgo! Click the link for more on the story —> http://venussigns.wix.com/zodiacsigns#!planets-in-virgo/c11x

Though Virgos are thinkers, they still tend to be rather naïve. Venus in Virgos often tend to live rather simply and tend to be attracted to a simple way of life. They don’t often have too much contact with others. They should be careful not to get mixed up with the wrong company as a result. It’s not ironic that a Venus in Virgo was attracted to a teen role. Mercury gives youth to the signs it rules over. Virgos tend to be attracted to the teen years because it’s the biggest stage when it comes to learning about the world and connecting with it. Not quite adults, not quite children, the teen years are a time to explore. The Venus in Virgo who liked this role said she chose it at the time because Ariel’s feelings were very real and related to real teenagers at the time. The Merpeople weren’t just Merpeople. They related to human life. Our Venus in Virgos are interested in reality, and mostly relate to things that seem realistic. Ariel had something very real about her, though she was a mermaid. This was her charm. Ariel was an independent thinker, and though she didn’t initially want to go to the surface for a love interest, she found a stronger resolve. See, our Venus in Virgos love just as strong as other people. Still, like Ariel they must be more confident in themselves. Ariel was in love with a human and she didn’t feel she would be able to win Eric as a mermaid. This caused her to make a deal with Ursula, the sea witch. Ironically, the fish creature has always been associated with Virgo’s opposite sign, Pisces. But a Venus in Virgo chose the fish creature that stood out from the other mermaids. It was a character that longed for a more “human” existence rather than a longing for the sea. She had a desire to experience the “sensual pleasures” of the earth, and wasn’t quite pleased with underwater adventures. Virgo is an earthy sign, and they love to feel the “sand in their feet” and eat exquisite foods as much as any other earth sign. Venus in Pisces might have been more interested in the sea rather than a human existence! Still, it’s not unusual for signs on the axis to be attracted to their opposite signs.

pocahontas

Pocahontas is another example of Venus in Virgos. The Venus in Virgo voice actress was attracted to Pocahontas because she was inspired from a real figure. Of course, the story is not exactly as it was in history. But the situation was very real as experienced by many indigenous people of the time. Pocahontas, just like Ariel, was curious and intelligent. She was also highly attracted to someone who was so different from her. Pocahontas didn’t want to marry Kocuom. She was very particular about the person she wanted in her life. She was more drawn to John Smith, someone she could learn from and teach. Someone who had the same spirit of adventure she had. Pocahontas was an independent thinker, like so many of our Venus in Virgos. Is the river steady? No, it’s always changing and flowing! Virgo is a mutable sign, and they are always changing! Venus in Virgos tend to be drawn to nature. Pocahontas was always close to nature and let nature, like Grandmother Willow, guide her and give her wisdom. One thing to note about Pocahontas is that she had a woman-like quality about her, despite her interest in mischief. Our Venus in Virgos might seem a little naïve, but they are an earth sign. This makes them carry a bit of maturity about them.

boo

Speaking of youth, Boo from Monsters Inc. was played by a Venus in Virgo. Considering she was just a small child, she didn’t have a completely fleshed out personality. But the Venus in Virgo trait of curiosity was still present! Boo was quite the curious and independent thing, stepping into a foreign world just like Pocahontas and Ariel! And Boo was quite feisty and strong, just like the other Venus in Virgos. Like most Venus in Virgos, she liked the people who were fun to be around and didn’t care that they were monsters. Venus in Virgos aren’t superficial. They prefer a real friend to an attractive friend. And they are true blue friends! No act, no phoniness. All real.

jenny

Jenny Foxworth from Oliver and Company, another youthful character, was also played by a Venus in Virgo. She carries the humble, caretaking qualities Virgo is known for. Virgo is a service-oriented sign, and she took good care of Oliver. She was worried and upset when he is taken from her. She didn’t have many friends and felt lonely without her parents. But when she had Oliver, she was a devoted friend. This is how Venus in Virgos are with anyone they love. Jenny isn’t just sweet, but she’s quite fashionable, too. Our Venus in Virgos have very elegant taste and they often like to look perfect.

fairy godmother

I think I should mention that Venus in Virgos tend to be attracted to our helpful little fairies. Venus in Virgos like to solve problems and they have plenty of advice to give. The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella was portrayed by a Venus in Virgo. She watched over Cinderella and came to her aid when Cinderella needed her most. Our Venus in Virgos make very useful and helpful friends. Whenever you’re in a pinch or it’s an emergency, Venus in Virgos will be there to fix everything and make it better. Don’t have a dress? Venus in Virgo will whip up something out of their closet or take an emergency trip to the store. Don’t have a ride? They’ll use their resources to get you there!

flora sleeping beauty

Flora from Sleeping Beauty is also a little helpful Venus in Virgo fairy. When Maleficent cast a spell on Princess Aurora, it was Flora’s idea to save Aurora by taking her deep into the forest and hide out as a normal human being taking care of a peasant child. This idea worked for 16 years. Our Venus in Virgos are superbly intelligent and resourceful! Flora was practical and used her good brain to live life without magic. She was the single mother, often depicted as the Virgin. She was very thorough in her idea. Also, as mentioned before, our Venus in Virgos tend to be good leaders.

the blue fairy

The Blue Fairy from Pinocchio was also a helpful fairy portrayed by a Venus in Virgo. She was kind enough to grant Gepetto’s wish to make Pinocchio into a real boy. But like most Venus in Virgos, she valued hard work. Pinocchio had to prove that he could be a good little boy. She brought Pinocchio to life and allowed Jiminy Cricket to be Pinocchio’s conscience. More than once, The Blue Fairy got Pinocchio out of a pinch. Her test may have seemed arduous, but in the end Pinocchio became a better person. The Blue Fairy was very good with bringing out the best in others. And the hard work of the characters was rewarded. The Blue Fairy was highly moral and she upheld strict standards of conduct. Some of our Venus in Virgos believe in doing what is right. They don’t often admire people who behave in crude and rude ways. They hope to meet friends and lovers who are generally good people, humble, and modest in their dealings with others.

gypsy

Venus in Virgos are really helpful friends. Gypsy from A Bug’s Life was played by a Venus in Virgo and was very helpful to Flik, helping him to scare off the grasshoppers and protecting her husband, Manny. She was very hard-working, like most of our Venus in Virgos, and in fact, was the best act in the circus!

Roxanne_in_Max's_dream

Despite what anyone says, and despite the fact Venus feels limited in the sign of Virgo, Venus in Virgos can be very attractive. They are often attracted to roles where they play teenagers and their charms tend to be similar to the charms of a teenager no matter how old they get. Roxanne from A Goofy Movie has the beautiful charms that our Venus in Virgos exude. Because they are perfectionists, they do demand a lot from themselves socially and physically. Roxanne was one of the most popular girls in the school and her best friend was Student body President.  She seems pitch perfect. She was quite kind and friendly, despite the fact that Max did very silly things to impress her. Like most of our Venus in Virgo ladies, it’s the little things they like in a person, and Roxanne liked Max for one of his quirkiest qualities: his goofy laugh.

Grace

Our Venus in Virgos can be sweet, demure, and humble, just like Grace from Home on the Range. She is happy-go-lucky and likes to stay positive. Venus in Virgos have no room for frowning and over-emotional, depressing scenes. She is the peacemaker among her friends. Some of our Venus in Virgos are often the reasonable ones among the raucous. They are good at finding solutions to problems, just like Grace. It’s not surprising that a Venus in Virgo person was attracted to a farm animal. Virgo is an earth sign after all! They are connected to the natural world. They like the simple things in life. And like most of our Venus in Virgos, they hold their own as single ladies. Grace didn’t need a man to help her win the farm. With the help of her fellow ladies, she was able to save her place of residence. Our Venus in Virgo ladies are truly independent!

Despite her ditzy manner, she was actually quite intelligent and practical. She was also not as easily manipulated as the other cows were.

joy

Joy, the leader of the emotions in Inside Out was played by a Venus in Virgo, and she’s quite youthful. Our Venus in Virgos can be really strong, positive, and give good advice. They are mercurial. Therefore, they look at things from a logical point of view. Like most of our Venus in Virgos, they are helpful. Joy tries her best to make Riley happy, sometimes even sacrificing her own “happiness”. Of course, our Venus in Virgos should learn not to expect everything to go perfectly and should appreciate the little imperfections in a person’s life. Joy never wants Riley, her human self, to feel sad. Thus, she’s hard on the other emotions and especially treats Sadness like an outcast. From a logical point of view, she doesn’t understand the importance of Sadness. Sometimes, our Venus in Virgos can be so logical and so focused on the details of now, they miss the big picture. Joy had to learn to let go once in a while and not try to make everything so perfect. There is a place for the imperfect as well as the perfect…if we ever reach that point.

QueenofHearts

Our Venus in Virgos have flaws, but they are very aware of this. Still, I have a word of caution for them anyway. Our Venus in Virgos, as simple as they are, can end up being some of the most demanding perfectionists. Venus in Virgos don’t always demand luxuries, but when they do demand something, they want it immediately and they want things done “correctly”. The Queen of Hearts from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland was first portrayed by a Venus in Virgo. The Queen of Hearts wanted everything to go her way. There was no other way. Just like Joy, the Queen of Hearts is intolerant and bossy. Venus in Virgos must be careful not to act like they have all the answers and must learn to tolerate mistakes or imperfections without, well, cutting off other people’s heads!

drizella

Drizella from Cinderella was also portrayed by a Venus in Virgo. She’s another example of how far Venus in Virgos can go with their demanding streak. Venus in Virgos tend to be attracted to villains like her. She’s vain, snobby, and critical. She gave poor Cinderella an even harder time than her sister. Venus in Virgos must try not to pick people apart, especially people they don’t like too much.

Helga

Our Venus in Virgos must learn to let a little morality, compassion, and feelings into their wave of thinking. Joy wasn’t the only one with this problem. Helga Sinclair from Atlantis The Lost Empire would’ve done better if she’d followed her feelings rather than material things. Helga had very admirable qualities. She was a skilled coordinator and drill instructor. She is highly skilled in combat, excellent with firearms, and level-headed in a crisis, like most of our Venus in Virgos. This was no small attribute, considering the year was 1914! Most women of the time had no military experience. She definitely didn’t live life like the average woman in 1914! She was quite accomplished. Though she was married in 1907, she made indications that she became a widow in 1908. This made her a single working woman, which is quite admirable. Still, Helga had a no-nonsense approach to situations and was unapologetic for what she’d done to Atlantis. Though she showed some remorse towards the end, if she’d thought about the lives of the people around her, she wouldn’t have been involved in creating a disaster. Venus in Virgos must be careful not to become too militant when dealing with situations involving other people. They must ease up on being so commanding.

larxene

Larxene from Kingdom Hearts is another example of our commanding Venus in Virgos. Our Venus in Virgos must be careful not to exude her qualities, though she has her own charms. Larxene is the only female in Organization 13. Larxene can be quite sadistic. She’s generally mean just for the pleasure! Our Venus in Virgos tend to be very critical of people and sometimes they can be mean. If Venus in Virgos dislike someone or something, they tend to be extra sharp with what they say. Venus in Virgos must work more on their people skills and try to be polite even to people they don’t know well and even to people they’ve sized up as “bad company”. Venus in Virgos can be quite judgmental. It would help them to show a little more understanding and compassion. They must really work on putting themselves in someone else’s shoes.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Coming December 2016 + Complete Kingdom Hearts Timeline Finished!

17 Sep

Wow, wow, wow.

We’ve gotten 1.5, 2.5, and now, finally, here comes Kingdom Hearts 2.8 FINAL CHAPTER PROLOGUE.  It’s not “3.5” because the games were released BEFORE Kingdom Hearts 3. Technically, 2.5 and 2.8 have games that are being released and games that were already released AFTER Kingdom Hearts 2 but not after KH3…Making them 2.5 and 2.8. Anyway…

This is exciting news for fans!

2.8 consists of the following games:

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Final Mix

Kingdom Hearts X (unchained) Back Story

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Volume 0.2 Fragmentary Passage

For those of you confused with all the games, I’ll run down the list of games and the timeline at the end of this article…

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is the FINAL. This is the final part of the story. That means this is basically heading towards the end of the story. This may be one of the last Kingdom Hearts games we get before Kingdom Hearts III, the final game.

For many people, all three games on 2.8 are all-new games. I’ve been reading the comments’ sections on Youtube, and I hear people saying, “Tetsuya Nomura has made three all-new side games instead of focusing on Kingdom Hearts 3?” That just goes to show you how behind people are on the Kingdom Hearts news. I knew that I had to announce this to keep everyone here up-to-date.

Am I a little worried that it’s coming out in 2016 INSTEAD of Kingdom Hearts III? Yes, I am. Like many other people, I’ve been waiting for Kingdom Hearts III for more than 10 years. I’m in my 20s, still waiting for the third installment…So, I’m sure Kingdom Hearts III will NOT be released in 2016, which is a bummer, because I’ve really been looking forward to it. And I feel my biological time ticking…

On the other hand, I’m not really old. I don’t want to feel it. And I do want to live my life looking forward to things. If Kingdom Hearts is over, it will feel like a part of my life has left me. I’ve been waiting for this game and playing this game for so long, it has really become a part of my fond memories. I feel a certain connection to this game series. It gives me so many good memories. I remember when I first got the first game. My uncle bought it for me. It was the game that I always wanted the most (next to Tekken Tag). I couldn’t afford it then. But he went out of his way to get it. It didn’t go to waste.

So, I kind of also don’t want the series to end too quickly. It’s bitter-sweet.

Anyway…

Dream Drop Distance Final Mix

ddd

Dream Drop Distance has been out since 2012. So, this game isn’t new. This is the re-mastered version. So, no, Nomura wasn’t wasting his time making a whole new game.

Fans who played Dream Drop Distance asked if it would be included in Final Mix form like the other games, so this is how we got it. I’m personally happy about it.

All you people who never got to play this game will finally get to.

Kingdom Hearts X (Unchained) Back Cover

KHxBC_logo

The cinematic that appears in 2.8 covers the story behind Kingdom Hearts X Unchained, the online game released in 2013 and the North American app that came out April 2016.

For those of you who think Kingdom Hearts X Unchained is new, I’m here to tell you it’s not. This game has been out ONLINE for FREE since 2013. Yes, it was in Japanese. At first, it was only meant to be for the Japanese audience, the audience Nomura knew would appreciate it more. Some people around the world realized how important it was after playing the Japanese version, so they asked for an English release.

But some westerners are complaining about it.

I hear some people saying, “Aw, this game isn’t relevant”. If you’d been smoking the words of Nomura, you should know by now that every game he says is “irrelevant” turns out to be important!

This game explains what Eraqus and Xehanort were talking about in the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer! This game also has an interesting story. This game even has a new world: Daybreak Town! It may even appear in KHIII! Sure, the gameplay is sketchy (It’s a lot like Chain of Memories on the SP, with the same bad graphics and everything).

Still, I recommend people play the KHX game before watching the cinematic and even diving into KHIII.

Don’t think that you can just watch the cinematic and it will cover everything. Again, the 2.8 version is just the cinematic version that covers the backstory of the fore-tellers from Kingdom Hearts X Unchained and not the actual complete Kingdom Hearts X Unchained game. That’s disappointing for me because I really liked the story in X (Unchained), though I know other westerners didn’t.

This cinematic X Unchained Back Cover is a whole new piece to the puzzle to add to the already complex story line.

Kingdom Hearts fans should really take the time out to explore the game and the back story, even if it doesn’t seem relevant or cool.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Volume o.2~Fragmentary Passage~

KH0.2_logo

This is a BRAND NEW game. If you all unlocked the “Secret Episode” at the end of Birth By Sleep, you might remember that it had the same title as this one. They are NOT the same thing. The one in Birth By Sleep was 0.1. From what I hear, this is Volume 2 of that “secret episode”.

This game is going to be the most closely connected to Kingdom Hearts III.

It follows the story of Aqua after Birth By Sleep. So if you haven’t played Birth By Sleep, I suggest you play it. It is available on 2.5 for those of you who don’t have a PSP (though PSPs are running cheap now). There is also a remastered edition that combines 1.5 and 2.5 in one game.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is going to be around US $60.00. I know it’s pricey, but think about it. You’re getting THREE games in ONE. Technically, two games and a cinematic version, but still that’s a lot of software. And usually ONE game is almost that price! It’s a pretty good deal. One of the games are brand new, too! This is also the FINAL PROLOGUE. That means no more additions to the story after this. THIS IS IT. It’s worth it guys. At least, I think so.

Kingdom Hearts Timeline

With all of the side stories, the story has had many additions. It has gotten a bit confusing for most people, especially if many of you haven’t played some of the games yet. Many people have asked, “In what order should I play the games? In which order do the games fit into the story?”

Well, on Kingdom Hearts’s main website, they happen to help fans out with a timeline. Still, the timeline isn’t very descriptive (so they won’t spoil everything) and is currently missing not showing how each game fits in.

So, I’ll help you all out a tad bit more.

The stories came out in this order (all final mixes are mashed with their original stories):

Kingdom Hearts or 1.5 (PS2, PS3)

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories or 1.5 (Nintendo SP, PS 2, PS3)

Kingdom Hearts II or 2.5 (PS2, Ps3)

Kingdom Hearts Coded or 2.5 (mobile phone, Nintendo DS, PS3)

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days or 1.5 (Nintendo DS, PS 3)

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep or 2.5 (and parts of 2.8) (PSP, PS3, PS4)

~You can get 1.5+2.5 Remix Limited Edition, which combines all the above games together~

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance or 2.8 (Nintendo 3DS, PS4)

Kingdom Hearts (Unchained) X or 2.8 Backstory (online website, mobile phone, PS4)

Kingdom Hearts III (PS4, Xbox One)

Kingdom Hearts timeline.jpg

Kingdom hearts Timeline

The order in which the games came out don’t match up with the order in which each game OCCURRED. So, the story can get a bit confusing. The following may contain a few *SPOILERS*. The timeline above have all the games, but it may look confusing.

KHxBC_logo

1) Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover tells the untold story of the fore-tellers, characters that eventually appeared in Kingdom Hearts X. A bit about the fore-tellers was explained in Kingdom Hearts X (Unchained). The 2.8 version, the Back Cover, is the fully fleshed-out story of the fore-tellers. It tells us more about the people involved in the infamous Keyblade War.

kingdom_heartsx_x

2) Kingdom Hearts X (Unchained) technically takes place before Birth By Sleep. KHX Unchained takes place right before the infamous Keyblade War that caused our story to begin the way it has. This story focuses on the history of the whole Kingdom Hearts series. It’s not certain how long ago this game literally took place, but the history behind it took place before Birth By Sleep. It has also been upgraded to Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross].

birth-by-sleep

3)Birth By Sleep happened sometime after Kingdom Hearts X Unchained, 10 years before Kingdom Hearts, and begins the Xehanort saga. It follows the lives of three keyblade wielders, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. These three people end up shaping events that occur later in the series.

KH0.2_logo

4) Birth By Sleep Fragmentary Passage 0.2 obviously happens right after the “Secret episode” in Birth By Sleep, a little before Kingdom Hearts. However, events in the story eventually seem to align with what’s going on in Kingdom Hearts from behind the scenes.

kingdom hearts

5) Kingdom Hearts happened next. Sora becomes our main protagonist.

358 over 2 days

6) Now, you may see that 358/2 Days seems to begin smack-dab-in-between-towards-the-end-of Kingdom Hearts in one of the timelines ABOVE. This story began a bit after Sora stabbed his heart in the Hollow Bastion segment of Kingdom Hearts. This is when Roxas, Sora’s “Nobody”, was born and the reason 358/2 Days, his story, begins there. Roxas is the protagonist of 358/2 Days.

chain of memories

7) Chain of Memories happened RIGHT AFTER Kingdom Hearts and DURING 358/2 Days. Did you notice this in one of the timelines ABOVE? This is when it gets tricky. Remember, 358/2 Days began around the same time as the Hollow Bastion segment in Kingdom Hearts. The events Roxas experienced in 358/2 Days continued on while Sora was entering the Kingdom Hearts End of the World segment. 358/2 Days’s events continued to occur as Sora’s game, Kingdom Hearts, was ending.  358/2 Day’s events also took place while the next story, Chain of Memories, was occurring.

At the end of Kingdom Hearts’s credits, we see a cut-scene with Sora heading down a path. This path leads him straight into the game of Chain of Memories.

358/2 Days and Chain of Memories continued to happen simultaneously, adding to each other’s stories. So while Roxas was continuing to deal with his life in 358/2 Days, Sora was headed towards Chain of Memories. Riku, Sora’s best friend, also had his own story in Chain of Memories. His story began shortly after Sora’s. Even while Sora and Riku were dealing with life in Chain of Memories, Roxas’s story continued in 358/2 Days.

Chain of Memories ended with Sora falling asleep. In 358/2 Days, Roxas was still awake while Sora was asleep in Chain of Memories. He was being affected by Sora’s slumber.

KH2-cover

8) Kingdom Hearts II continues where 358/2 Days left off. Kingdom Hearts II begins with Roxas, who has now forgotten who he was after certain events that took place in 358/2 Days. After six days with Roxas in the beginning of Kingdom Hearts II, Sora wakes up from his long slumber (the long slumber he fell into in Chain of Memories). The rest of Kingdom Hearts II is played with Sora as the main protagonist.coded

9) Notice that Coded comes up next, but then there’s this weird insertion above and between Coded and Dream Drop Distance labeled “KHII” in one of the timelines ABOVE. This is another tricky one. At the end of the Kingdom Hearts II credits, Sora gets a letter with King Mickey’s seal. We might think that this letter has to do with the next game, Coded. It doesn’t. This letter has to do with Dream Drop Distance. So why is Coded next? Well, right after the events in KHII, besides the cut-scene AFTER the credits, Sora returns to a pretty normal life at his home, Destiny Islands, for a while, which isn’t really shown. While Sora has returned to his normal life, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Jiminy have returned to Disney Castle. Coded takes place at this point, right before Sora gets the letter at the end of KHII.

ddd

10) After Coded, the cut-scene at the end of KHII becomes relevant. Sora gets the letter. It’s a letter for both Sora and his best friend Riku. The letter leads Sora and Riku to the events in Dream Drop Distance.

kingdom-hearts-3.jpg

11) Finally, after DDD, Kingdom Hearts III ends the series.

I hope my timeline helped any confused souls. If you decide to play all the games over or if you’re playing them all for the first time, you can decide to play them in order of release or in order of timeline. Whichever you feel will help you grasp the story more. I think it would be helpful to play them in order of timeline so that it won’t feel so jumpy and so you won’t lose track of what’s been going on. But it’s your decision.

If any of these games sound new to you, that could be the reason you are so confused about everything that’s been happening. Don’t worry, the whole confusing story will be over soon. So just hang tight until then.

Leave me a comment in the comments’ section and tell me what you think about the new release! Check back for more updates!

Kingdom Hearts 3 and Kingdom Hearts Unchained @ E3 2015!!!!

17 Jun

Yes, Kingdom Hearts fans and potential fans, KH3’s gameplay trailer has officially been released! Even in my adult years, this big kid has been waiting patiently for this game for 9 YEARS.

I’ve been waiting for this game for too long. We all have. And now, finally, Tetsuya Nomura has caved and teased us with an official, mouth-watering trailer.

It has been a while since the developers at Square-Enix gave us some footage or updates on the development. Finally, they have showed us what they have sharpened up on at E3 2015. I also hear there will be more gameplay trailers November 2015. So excited!

I just want to go over the things I noticed in this trailer with fellow readers and Kingdom Hearts fans.

1) The visuals-Despite doubters of the Unreal Engine 4, it has translated extremely well to Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts’s visuals have obviously improved over the years (I mean, 2002’s game and console had the best programming and technology for its time, but come on…). Most modern games that are based off of old-time games have a hard time appearing like an upgrade. But Kingdom Hearts managed to appear like an upgrade, and get this, without taking away the feeling of Kingdom Hearts.

Doubters of the Unreal Engine 4, including Nomura himself (one of the lead developers of the series), didn’t think that Kingdom Hearts could work with the new software. They were afraid it wouldn’t keep its feeling. Surprise! It did.

And that command list, though! It’s so not in the way like previous command lists.

The developers wanted the game to feel like a Disney movie, and it really shows. It really carries the same Disney magic and imagination. Yet, this looks like a game even a macho person would want to play.

2) Characters Present-We obviously know that Sora is returning as the lead character, along with Donald and Goofy. But we also see a younger Master Eraqus and a young Master Xehanort before they were masters themselves. They obviously know something about the future and it has to do with the darkness taking over. If you have played Kingdom Hearts X Chi, you might understand what they are talking about. If you haven’t, you may be in for a surprise or rude awakening, however you may see it.

We see that Eraqus wants to change the future predicted by the Foretellers. If you don’t know who they are, you might want to play KHX….

3) Worlds Present-So far, it’s already pretty confirmed that Hercules’s world is going to be in the game. This time, we’re visiting Mount Olympus.

Tangled’s world has been confirmed to be one of the worlds that will also be in Kingdom Hearts 3.

We are also returning to Twilight Town…

I just want to point out that the landscape and free playing field has always been the gem of the Kingdom Hearts series. That gem was highlighted in this trailer.

4) Gameplay-Now here comes the juicy part. The gameplay definitely looks interesting. Flowmotion (from KH Dream Drop Distance) looks like it has made a comeback. Bravo! But there are also some interesting commands and surprises that have improved the gaming experience in small, yet tremendous ways.

For starters, we have many moves that activate Disney World theme park rides. While fighting Rock Titan from Hercules, Sora activates some roller coaster. In Twilight Town, he’s seen fighting in what resembles the Tea Cup ride. And they didn’t make it look boring and cheesy. Just like they did with Mickey Mouse for Kingdom Hearts II, they made it look pretty darn epic.

In the world that seems to resemble Tangled, a boat ride is activated from the water, so perhaps many of these moves are activated according to the environment. Then again, a chariot was activated in Twilight Town…so…maybe we can use them anywhere. It’s pretty epic, I have to say.

Sora has come out as a true blue master in this trailer. He’s not holding back. He’s gotten good with his fighting techniques and he’s not afraid to flaunt it.

And since they never could improve on their crappy camera angles, it appears they found a better use for it: dizzying us with epic fighting techniques!

One thing I can say about this trailer is that the series has actually shown evolution through this one game. Through this one game, Kingdom Hearts has shown tremendous improvement and has reflected the hard work of all designers and developers. Despite the length of time it took, I have no doubts that the game won’t disappoint.

Of course, this is the hype of the trailer. I can’t wait to see the real thing.

5) Kingdom Hearts X Chi-Yes, everyone. KHX Chi is coming to mobile phone devices. So, if you haven’t played this game yet, I advise you do. Sure, you may have heard Nomura say that it’s not important to play if you want to progress to the next game. But ya’ll should know by now that Nomura is on some bull crap. Remember how Chain of Memories was not supposed to be so “important”? Or Kingdom Hearts Coded? Or Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days? Remember how Birth By Sleep was only supposed to be a side story? All of you unfortunate people who didn’t get those games were lost when the next major console game was released and will be lost when KH III is released. I realized early on how important each Kingdom Hearts game is to the entire story. X Chi is no exception.

Though you’re only playing a made-up keyblade wielder, there is information throughout the game that tells us more about KH3 and the keyblade wars. So don’t you think for a second that you can just skip out on this game. You will be missing out on something.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you gathered from the Kingdom Hearts trailer and the confirmation of KH Chi!

GN’s Top 20 Favorite Far East Asian Artists: 20 Countdown

6 Nov

94555370

As most of you readers probably know, GN loves foreign music. I love music from around the world. I listen to music from France, Turkey, Russia, Tanzania, Brazil, Spain, and many other countries around the world. But my favorite countries rest in Asia. Yes, GN is a big-time fan of Asian music.

As a Black/African American, most would look at me and wonder what made me love music from other lands and nations so much. I only speak English fluently. My parents never raised me to like foreign music. Well, not directly.

When I was younger, my parents would always take me to Mexican Food restaurants. I grew up eating Mexican food because they liked it. And you know what kind of music I would hear playing? Spanish music. After getting songs stuck in my head, I began to enjoy the music. I began listening to the music on my “alarm clock radio”…something only us ’90s kids would understand…

It was then that I began to like music spoken in a language that was different from my own. I never let language stop me from liking music.

Later, when I was around age 10, I acquired a love for anime. Cartoon Network’s Toonami block introduced me to so many animes, but it also introduced me to RPG video games. One of those video games was Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts had a commercial that played repetitively on every channel. The commercial had a very catchy song linked to it. (Many of you have probably heard this story before, if you’ve been following my blog.) That song was my favorite for months. It had a mesmerizing sound and beautiful vocals. But I never knew who sang the song. Finally, when I bought the game, I looked at the back of the booklet that came with the game and found out who it was. Now, I’m not going to give who it was away because that singer is going to be on my list. But I just wanted to share a brief summary of how I got hooked on foreign music, and how Asian music became a favorite of mine.

Even though I knew about that artist, I always thought the person was an underground American artist because the artist spoke excellent English. Little did I know she was a famous singer overseas! I didn’t really realize other countries had their “own” music (I know, it was very ignorant of me).

At the time, I was also a Bratz fan. Bratz came out with a song that was only released in Asia. At the time, I had to have everything Bratz. So, I did some research on this song, and found out about another famous Asian star. It was then that it dawned on me: There are other great singers out in the world that AREN’T American. My mind and my options were opened. Since then, I’ve been a fan of Asian music.

This all happened in 2003.

Now, I like tons of Asian artists. I’ve acquired a love of many different kinds. Over the years, I’ve gotten into artists from other continents, too.

So, now that you’ve been updated with my history, it’s time for me to share with you all some Asian artists I just can’t get enough of. I love all Asian music naturally, but these 20 artists really pop out to me. On this list, I will do a countdown, starting from #20!

20. Jo Kwon

I was introduced to this sexy K-pop star through f(x) Amber’s instagram. She was right about him. He’s super sexy. Not only is he sexy, but he does sexy in a unique way. Jo Kwon really impressed me with his performance, “Animal”. He is an artist that I consider “ground-breaking” in Korea and around the world. He proved that men can strut in platform heels and still look good doing it! I honestly can only respect him as he highlights his own beauty. Ever since that performance, I have been wanting more from him. He’s a rare gem in a boxed world.

Debut 2008

19. Zard

I was first introduced to this J-rock band when watching the Detective Conan anime. One of Zard’s songs was the 4th Opening theme. But it was the 22nd Opening theme that made me follow this band full-throttle. Whenever I think of Japanese music, this band is always one of the first that come to my mind. Their music is energetic, but what made them even more special was their lead vocalist. There are very few female rockers in the world, and she was one-in-a-million. Unfortunately, she has passed away. 😦 But their music is still amazing.

Debut 1991

18. BtoB

I first learned of K-pop boy group BtoB this year on We Got Married Global. I heard about their song “Beep Beep”, but the song that really sparked my interest was “Wow”. Teddy Riley raved about this group’s New Jack Swing style, which is what made me check out that song. The fact that BtoB successfully tried New Jack Swing was impressive enough, but they also are really charming young men who love music. Sungjae has become a favorite of mine, as he seems to really love music. I’ve been watching him on KBS’s A Song for You. He never ceases to entertain me. BtoB is a K-pop group with one American member.

Debut 2012

17. 2ne1

I was introduced to this K-pop group on a BoA fan message board site. BoA was compared to the YG entertainment group. At first I was offended, but I still gave them a shot. When I heard the song “I  Love You”, I immediately knew there was something different about them. They were so different from all the other groups. They didn’t do the “cute” thing. But they also sounded so…AMERICAN. They kind of reminded me of Rihanna in many ways. I was addicted to that song for a long time. They always struck me as more mature than the other girl groups. It wasn’t until later that I saw more edgy, fun sides to them. Their performances were always unique. They never danced silly or cute dances. They used profanity in their performances. They dressed risque and pointed with swag at their viewers with their long, sharp nails. While this tough edge made them a more “alpha, dominant” female group, it never took away from the sex appeal or girlishness. They had a charm all their own. I couldn’t resist getting their latest album, Crush.

Debut 2009

16. Gackt

Gackt has always been one of my favorite J-rock stars. I was introduced to him while passing through Japanese music websites. Final Fantasy deepened my interest in him. His unique image and sound make him universal. Something about his androgynous looks makes me mesmerized. And his image is in far contrast to his music, which is very masculine in nature. I love every moment.

Debut 1999

15. Mai Kuraki

This J-pop star takes the #15 spot for me. She is an amazing vocalist. She used to remind me of Utada Hikaru back in the day. My sibling first introduced me to the J-pop star through the song “Perfect Crime” and I loved that song. But I first gained extreme interest in her after her song “Revive” appeared on the Detective Conan anime. She definitely has some epic and addictive songs.

Debut 1999

14. School Food Punishment

This Electronic J-rock band caught my ears with the song “Sky Step”. My sibling also introduced me to this band. Their fast transitions mid-tempo makes their music easy to recognize. There isn’t one song I hate from this band and I can listen to them over and over again without losing interest. Their genre is also considered Post Rock. Unfortunately, this band disbanded in 2012. 😦 But their music is still hypnotizing and addictive.

Debut 2004

13. Keiko Lee

This Japanese Blues/Jazz artist is one of my favorites. I first heard her music on the anime Requiem from the Darkness. She sang both the opening and ending songs. I swear, when I first heard her voice, I couldn’t believe a woman like her was singing. Her style is similar to Billie Holiday. She has quite a bass. Her bass adds a haunting shade on everything she sings. Her music can be alluring, seductive, and mysterious all at once. You should hear her cover of “We Will Rock You”. It’s most definitely a unique spin on that song. Check it out when you have time. It’s bone-chilling. The best part for me is that all of her music is in English, my native language.

Debut 1995

12. Show Luo

This Mandopop star captured my heart with his amazing performances. Originally part of two different boy bands, he struck out on his own after several of his members left for military service. Most people probably know him from his cover of High School Musical 2‘s “Bet On it”. But I know him from the song “Zhen Ming Tian Zi” featuring female pop sensation Jolin Tsai. His music is catchy and his performance value is high. If you are in the C-pop neighborhood, you should definitely check him out. And for all you ladies, you’ll have plenty of I-Candy.

Debut 1996

11. Super Junior (Including Suju-M)

I’ve known about K-pop boy band sensation Super Junior ever since I’d visited the SM Entertainment main website back during their debut. What stood out to me was the number of members they had. I also liked their boy-next-door appeal. The song I remember listening to often is “Sexy, Free, and Single”. Even though I knew about them for years, I wasn’t a fan until last year. It was Super Junior-M’s member Henry that helped my interest in the group increase. I saw Henry play the guitar for “Someday at Christmas (Happy Holidays)”, saw him play the piano for “Trap”, the violin for “Fantastic, and I just wondered, “What CAN’T he do?” I felt this was a reflection on the group. They must be some really talented men. The song that I first gave a chance was “Swing”. Ever since, I’ve followed them closely. Their upbeat and catchy music keeps me dancing for days.

I became an even greater fan of the original Super Junior after seeing Kangin on KBS’s A Song For You. He’s funny and also very experienced with music.

Debut 2005

TOP TEN

10. Got7

Recently, I’ve become a huge fan of this K-pop group. I was first introduced to Got7 on We Got Married Global. I usually hate boy bands. But the three members on that show (Jackson, Mark, and Bam Bam) made me fall in love with this group. Jackson, Bam Bam, and Mark are three of Got7’s international members. Got7 is a multi-national group, which always sparks my interest for various reasons. This makes them well-rounded. Their music style is mostly hip-hop, which gives them some edge. I love their hard but boy-next-door appeal. These are gentlemen who display honesty and frankness. There is something very real about this group. This group seem like normal boys that anyone can relate to. But what’s most impressive are their acrobatic skills onstage. It’s hard not to be amazed by this boy band. The music is attractive, the members are attractive, and the performance value is high. Once I had a taste of this group, there was no turning back. They continue to impress me. The first song I heard was their debut song “Girls Girls Girls”.

Debut 2014

9. Shinee

This K-pop boy band was the talk of the town during their debut. They were, in fact, the second Korean boy band I had ever listened to (after TVXQ). I was first introduced to them through SM Entertainment’s main website. I learned more about them through fan-made AMVs on Youtube. From the song, “Lucifer” to “Ring Ding Dong”, I couldn’t get this group out of my head for weeks on end. Their unique sense of style, colorful personalities, and strong unity kept me interested in this group for a long time. And I’m still a major follower. My interest in this group has increased after watching them on variety shows and seeing their performances of “Everybody”. They are just so unique, and yet, underrated in comparison to SM Entertainment’s other artists. They brought in a new age wave of Kpop.

Debut 2008

8. Crystal Kay

Crystal Kay was one of the first J-pop artists I became interested in. Basically, she’s a veteran. What really struck me about her was her dark skin. Just like me, she was African American, but unlike me, she spoke fluent Japanese. I thought it was the most impressive thing and very inspirational. Crystal Kay is part Korean as well, though she doesn’t speak any Korean! Some of her inspirations include Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Speed, and my personal favorite, Namie Amuro. This girl has amazing vocals and an international appeal. The first song I heard from her was actually M-flo’s “Reewind!” featuring Crystal Kay from the “M-flo Loves __” collection. But I was so obsessed with that song for a year, I quickly became a Crystal Kay fan. And she just had her first U.S. debut! So exciting! Check out her performance of “Girlfriend” with BoA Kwon. Not only is her music amazing, but she has a soulful and bubbly personality that oozes charm.

Debut 1999

7. Ayumi Hamasaki

What J-pop fan doesn’t know about Ayumi Hamasaki? Ayumi Hamasaki is the most unique pop singer in Japan. She has the foundation of a pop singer, but the performance value of a rock star! Ayumi Hamasaki is one of the few artists in the world who has creative control of her music. She fought for that right. She is widely known for her constant change in image. What I loved about her music is the edgy rock sounds she mixes with pop music. The first thing I heard from her was her album I Am…Yes, I heard the whole album. I was on a website back in 2003 called J-fan.net. They used to have a collection of Japanese artists. I happened to stumble upon Ayumi Hamasaki. I remembered the name from Inuyasha, which I watched occasionally. When I heard this album, I was taken aback. It was so amazing. Ever since, I’ve gotten every album after. Ayumi is never boring. Ayumi made “Poker Face” a thing even before Lady Gaga. Check her out if you haven’t already.

Debut 1998

6. Kristine Sa

Vietnamese Canadian singer Kristine Sa stole my heart, mind, and ears with her vocals. Her music is amazing. She is widely known in the anime community, but is still relatively underrated. Her music is addictive. I seriously have every song she ever released. Ever since I accidentally stumbled upon her website, and heard the song “Consequence”, I was sold. I also managed to have a long conversation with the star. She was really friendly.

Debut 2002

5. Jade Villalon/Valerie/Sweetbox

There are many reasons the Filipino J-pop star is among my Top 5. The girl can sing, but in her music, her personality and attitude burst forth. Jade Villalon’s music is clever and full of her wit. And I just love her face. Something about her baby face. I was first introduced to her on a blog I used to visit a long time ago. I do not remember the name of that blog, but I would like to thank them for introducing me to the artist. THANK YOU, WHEREVER YOU ARE! The first song I ever heard from her was “Liberty”, which was released during her Sweetbox days. That song was deep for me. The lyrics stood out to me. Many know her from the Final Fantasy song “1000 Words”. I seem to like those Final Fantasy songs…

Debut 1999

4. Namie Amuro

I first stumbled upon this J-pop diva on http://hmv.co.jp. I was eager to find new J-pop artists. Namie Amuro stuck out to me because her music was steeped in Hip-Hop at the time. I just loved her voice. She was sexy and her performances grabbed my attention immediately. At the time, it was different to see a J-pop artist steep their music in hip-hop, especially females. And I always loved her tattoo and “lucky” belt that she wore. She just had a bad-ass image. I’ve never missed a single album of Namie Amuro’s. The first song I ever heard from her was from her album Style called “Namie’s Style”. Once I heard that epic hip-hop number, I had to have that album…and every album that came after. Namie Amuro has changed her style frequently. She also sings Dance Pop and Electronic Pop. I really just can’t forget about this edgy diva. And no matter how old she gets, she just looks younger and younger!

Debut 1995

3. f(x)

Oh yes. If you have been reading my blog, this should come as no surprise to you. What may be surprising is that they are only number 3 on my list! The quirky, unconventional all-girl K-pop group consumed my life last February with their album Pink Tape and slayed me this summer with Red Light. But I’ve known about f(x) since 2012’s “Electric shock”. I was introduced to f(x) through another K-pop star’s message board and decided to give them a shot. I was introduced to them the same day as 2ne1 from the same fan board. At first, I only planned to listen to the song once. But that song would not get out of my head! Later, I had done an article on androgynous fashion, which brought me in contact with f(x)’s Amber Liu and her story. My fascination with the group grew. I am now a huge fan! I believe this group has what it takes to be an international phenomenon. The diversity and individuality burst through. Their image is very unique and their music is spiced with variety. They are well-rounded for all age groups and all musical ears. To add, their lovable personalities allow you to fall in love with them. This multi-national group exceeds all language barriers. There’s so much I can say about this group. It’s even hard to really have a bias in this group. What I like about them is that they are girls who are just as entertaining as the boys.

Debut 2009

2. BoA

BoA Kwon…was technically the first Asian pop star I was introduced to. She was the first artist that I was introduced to as “foreign”. I was introduced to BoA through a Bratz song called “Show Me What You Got”. The Bratz single was only released in Japan. A Bratz fan shared it on a popular Bratz Yahoo group. It was then that I realized there were other artists in the world outside of my own country, the USA. BoA is also the reason I have been introduced to so many other artists! After finding BoA on her Japanese website, I realized she was under the label Avexnet. After trying to find her album, I stumbled upon HMV’s main website, which led me to Namie Amuro and Crystal Kay. I found Ayumi Hamasaki while trying to listen to BoA’s album Valenti. I would always visit the SM Entertainment official website to keep up with the latest BoA Korean releases, and that’s how I was introduced to Shinee and Super Junior. Through BoA’s fan board, http://www.boajjang.com, I was introduced to 2ne1 and f(x). So it was really BoA that broadened my J-pop and K-pop experiences. Really, she is the reason I became interested in World music in general. I was so amazed that she was a pop star in a foreign country, I wanted to search for other artists in different lands. And this is all thanks to the Bratz dolls. 😉

BoA has always kept my interest with epic dance moves and hypnotizing music. This girl can REALLY dance. She is purely a musical genius at this point. It only makes sense that she would be #2 in my life. BoA is one of the best female performers in the world. I really saw this in the “The Face” tour. My first full-out BoA song was “Double”, and I first heard it directly on it’s Japanese release date, October 22, 2003 at 15:30.

Debut 2000

1. Utada

Yes, my #1 favorite Asian artist is Utada Hikaru. This J-pop star was my FIRST Asian artist. She was the first singer from Asia that I’ve ever loved. And at the time, I didn’t even know she was a J-pop star! I was introduced to her through the Kingdom Hearts commercial. Her song was the exact thing that drew me to the game in the first place! I loved her song “Simple and Clean”, and the remix got me dancing every day. That song was stuck in my head for months until I broke down and bought the game. What a clever selling tactic, and it worked on my young, impressionable mind. When I found out who sang the song, I became a huge fan of that one song for YEARS. Later, I found out she was a huge J-pop star. Out of all of the artists on this list, she is the only artist I have seen live.  I attended her “In the Flesh” Tour. This is the artist I would jump planes to see. Many artists I’ve liked later have either reminded me of her or have been affiliated with her, like Kristina Sa and Jade Villalon. She set the stage. Her impressive vocals, musical experience, and unique concepts always struck me. My whole family enjoys her music, so it’s the glue that ties us together. Utada is an experimental artist who speaks two languages. This is why her albums have such wide-ranged appeal.

Debut 1998

So that’s my full list! Share with me your list!

My sister also shared with me her list, if anyone is interested in knowing about new artists.

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 + Kingdom Hearts 3 HINTS REVEALED in the new E3 Trailer!

28 Jun

Kingdom-Hearts-3-Release-Date

For all of you Kingdom Hearts lovers, three weeks ago, E3 released a trailer for Kingdom Heart‘s second “remix” called Kingdom Hearts 2.5, which has arrived in stores December 12, 2014.

But wait, it doesn’t STOP there.

At the end of the trailer is a small segment that hints towards KINGDOM HEARTS III, the highly anticipated “trilogy” to the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

For those who don’t know what Kingdom Hearts is, it is the joint project between Square-Enix and Disney that turned out to be a major success. The game centers on a young teenage boy (who basically would be a grown man by now) named Sora who lost his island and his friends one day, due to a “strange” storm. During this storm, Sora gets a strange, long key. Sora is then swept away in this storm to a different world. While in this world, he teams up with Donald and Goofy who had been looking for the “Keyblade Master”. Sora discovers that he’s the Keyblade Master, and is chosen to restore the worlds back to normal. Sora sets off on a journey to find his friends and to save the world. Thus, the story continues…

The series takes Sora through several Disney worlds, where the player gets to interact with Disney characters and fight Disney villains. And no, they aren’t weak. The game is praised for being one of the few role-playing games that adapts well to next-gen graphics. The story is engaging, and other installments constantly add to the story, making the players anticipate what will happen next. “You Never Know What Happens Next” was the original slogan for Kingdom Hearts because unexpected things would happen that would take players off-guard. Kingdom Hearts was also praised for it’s “free-playing field”.

Kingdom Hearts was released in 2002. The sequel was released in 2005. Ever since, fans have been waiting for the third part. After 2005, to tie fans over, Square-Enix and Disney released “side stories” to help fill in gaps and add to the overall twisted story. But fans still wanted that part three.

Then, last summer, Square-Enix shocked the pants off of everyone when they released a teaser trailer for Kingdom Hearts III. Ever since, there has been much anticipation.

Last year, Disney grew as a huge phenomenon thanks to the movie Frozen and Disney’s success with Marvel. There has been a surge of interest in Disney’s classical movies lately, and there are tons of speculations about what worlds to expect in the next installment.

There are rumors that it is scheduled to come out early 2015. I simply can’t wait that long!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think! What new worlds do you want to be in the next KH game? I’m hoping for Chronicles of Narnia, but since Fox bought the rights, my hopes are dim.

I’m just hoping they focus on the Disney movies and not too much on Marvel. Marvel would just feel awkward. Marvel worlds wouldn’t be very interesting, either. Unless, they use Thor…He and Hercules at it? Okay, that sounds awesome.

There are still some Disney movies left undone that I think the two companies should focus on. I also hope I never see Aladdin again. It looks like Hercules will return…AGAIN. I honestly don’t want to see Hercules again.

My thoughts on Kingdom Hearts 2.5?

You can’t get any better than two major role-playing games and a theater mode all in one game. And it’s half of the price it would’ve cost for each game. Perfection.

The Korean Wave “Hallyu”

17 Apr

I first heard the coined term on an article about f(x) being the first K-pop act to perform at Texas’s SXSW South By Southwest.

f(x) the Korean “Spice Girls” + Amber Liu in the Spotlight

f(x) Brings the Korean Wave to Texas

I know you’re wondering why I suddenly have this inspiration to create an article about the Korean Wave. Well, the other day (as in last week), I was watching Crayon Pop’s song “Uh-ee” and “Bar Bar Bar” when I heard the news that Lady Gaga wants to have Crayon Pop open for her Live Concert Tour. If anyone knows Crayon Pop, they are an all-female K-pop group that went viral awhile back due to their quirky dance moves, bike helmets, and wholesome attire entirely. They are definitely unique, and they seem like they would be Lady Gaga’s taste.

But just hearing how even Lady Gaga is into Korean pop music got me thinking: Just how many people listen to K-pop?

So, I did some research on this subject.

The “Korean Wave” reminds me of the Tulip Era in Turkey in the 18th Century…for all of you historians who are interested…

What is the Korean Wave?

94555370

It is a sudden “wave” of interest in South Korean “pop” culture. Yes, not just any Korean culture, but “modern” and “popular” Korean culture. And it has developed into a sub-culture with some cult followers in the mix…

The term “Korean Wave”, also called Hallyu, was said to have been coined by Beijing journalists who noticed a growing interest in South Korean culture in China. More and more Chinese people were exporting Korean merchandise, and supporting Korean music and film.

The Korean Wave shows a huge thrust toward entertainment media mostly, but many foreigners are more aware of the lifestyle in Korea as a result, such as the food (I learned about Kimchi), fashion, language, and even literature. The only thing excluded from this category is history, but that may come soon with the rising popularity of Korean dramas.

Due to increase internet availability and usage around the world, and the Technological Revolution of the early 21st Century, K-pop and Korean dramas are more available to people all over the world! So, Korean pop culture is spreading quicker and easier.

The Korean government hopes they can use this “wave” of interest to gain “soft power”. Not the kind of power where you take over other nations, but the kind that introduces Korean beauty, culture, and art to the rest of the world. They hope to make peace through this “wave”.

Where Did the Korean Wave Come From?

After World War II, Japan put a limit on entertainment that came in and out of the country. Once Japan lifted restrictions on international imports (and exports) in the 1980’s, entertainment could be distributed more freely worldwide. This brought about a “Japanese Wave” that was at a much smaller scale than the Korean Wave (mostly due to the fact that internet was a newer concept and not available everywhere around the world), but still, relatively large.

With the “Japanese Wave” came an increased interest in Japanese animation and comics called mangas. Japanese cartoons were fed to children in the 1990’s (I was one of those children). My first Japanese anime cartoon was Sailor Moon. Every day before school, I watched this show! Of course, at that time, the show was butchered so much because they wanted the animes to “relate to American children”. Later, Cartoon Network’s popularity increased as more and more people had access to cable channels in the late 1990’s.

Then came the Pokemon phenomenon, the first major Japanese animation to make millions in the West. It even had a very successful theatrical release! Pokemon is still being aired today.

Cartoon Network began to band together with the popular American animation company Funimation, a company that translated Japanese anime to make it more understandable to American audiences. Toonami, a segment of the day that mostly aired anime, was born afterwards. My next favorite anime to watch on that segment was Dragon Ball Z. This was the start of Japanese influence seeping into the minds of children.

There was also an increased interest in Japanese role-playing games. Sony, a Japanese company, made Playstation and Playstation 2, which made characters come alive on the television screen. The graphics were more real-looking than they had ever been before on any console, controls were easy to use, and Japanese game-makers began to sell their games to the world using this console.

Square-Enix was one such company. They are known for making the popular Final Fantasy series as well as the phenomenon Kingdom Hearts.

Japanese anime brought a wave of interest from the generation exposed to it. Interest in animes like Inuyasha and video games like Kingdom Hearts led to a growing interest in J-pop music (as you can hear an artist at the end of every anime or video game, particularly the legend Ayumi Hamasaki), Japanese food (teriyaki and goyza), Japanese language (Kawaii, Sugoi), fashion (cosplays and lolita came out of this wave), holidays, festivals (like Hinamatsuri), and destinations (like Osaka and Tokyo).

An interest in Japanese culture, thus, led to an interest in all modern Asian culture.

This is where Korea comes in.

Korean Dramas and Manga

Korean film producers banked on this rising interest in Mangas and Animes. Korean drama adaptations of these animes spurred a fascination for Korean dramas in general. One of the biggest dramas a part of the “Korean Wave” is the drama Boys Over Flowers, based off of the popular Japanese manga series Hana Yori Dango. Meteor Garden, a Chinese version made in Taiwan in 1999, was the first live adaptation of the popular manga series. It was big in all of Asia. Since most southeastern Asian countries speak Chinese, other people were exposed to the drama. The Korean Boys Over Flowers had come out a decade later in 2009, updating the original adaptation and giving a modern feeling. Other Asian countries remembered Meteor Garden and heard about the new adaptation, which exposed many people to Korean culture.

Winter Sonata was Korea’s own major masterpiece, and it equaled the success of  Meteor Garden. This drama was said to have been the drama that launched the “Korean Wave”.

These Korean dramas were popular because of two factors as quoted from Wikipedia:

  • Emotional engagement of the audience with particular emphasis on forging an emotional bond with the protagonist
  • Explicit attention to female sexual desires — Departing from conventional dramas that tend to eroticize the female body, these dramas market the sexual attraction of the male actors, giving women a certain freedom of sexual expression.

 SM Entertainment

“Powerhouse” label SM Entertainment brought Korean music to the world for the first time. H.O.T. was the first all-boy Korean group to perform a sold-out Concert outside of Korea. This group particularly targeted teenagers and were the first of their kind. They were the pioneers of what we know as the “idol group trend”. They were meant to bring K-pop to the younger generation. Their debut was in 1996.

Then came BoA Kwon, the reigning Princess of K-Pop. BoA was the first Korean artist to sell over a million copies of her albums outside of Korea. She was Korea’s first international superstar. She was an extremely young artist, and the youngest artist to debut at the time of her debut (2000 at age 14).

My first taste of K-pop was also through BoA. I was first introduced to BoA after my favorite doll brand, Bratz, did a collaboration with BoA and Howie D (Backstreet Boys) back in 2003. It was my second taste of foreign music (my first was Utada Hikaru from the Kingdom Hearts series, but she sounded so “American”, I didn’t realize she was a Japanese superstar at the time).

I started looking up more about BoA. That’s when I found out she sang the ending song to the popular anime, Inuyasha, which also made BoA more popular. That’s when I realized just how popular BoA was in Japan.

Then I found out she wasn’t Japanese. Little did I know, at the time, I was a part of a movement that shaped the next generation.

She is still the only Korean artist to have six consecutive hits in Japan, and is considered a household name in many Asian countries.

Soon, other K-pop artists from SM began to pop their way to stardom.

The groups I remember distinctly popping up was TVXQ (DBSK), Super Junior, SHINee, and Girls’ Generation. With the Youtube phenomenon, these groups spread Korean pop music internationally. Many of those groups had international members in them. The male groups broke Asian stereotypes around the world, and gave Asian men a “beautiful face” in the Western world.

At the time, SHINee was the most unique. SHINee embraced their more “feminine features” and made it more attractive to girls! They also started the new generation of dance-pop music with complex dance moves. After their debut, the other artists started imitating their style. Originally K-pop boys showed more edge, but SHINee softened their blows, wearing eyeliner, long hair, and shaking their butts in “Ring ding dong”.

Girls Generation brought Asian beauties to international audiences, and paved the way for the female “idol group” trend.

My biggest sweep into the Korean Wave was with the group f(x). Amber was Korea’s first androgynous pop star! Ever since, I’ve been an adamant follower of K-pop “idol groups” rather than Japanese, and recently, C-pop (Chinese pop). I’m just so darn addicted to that group! Once you get swept into the ocean of K-pop, with your favorite K-pop artist, it’s hard to swim back to shore…rather, it’s hard to want to.

The rising popularity of these groups contributed to the “group” trend that is known in Korea today…

Adding these idols to K-dramas spreads Hallyu further.

Psy and Gangnam Style

Psy made K-pop a global phenomenon in 2012 to 2013 with his smash Youtube hit “Gangnam Style”, an upbeat, electro-dance pop/rap song, put to funny, satirical lyrics, and choreographed with humorous “galloping” dance moves. Psy made a statement in Korea, and brought Korea to everyone’s backyard. He was the first viral artist to have over a billion views! He broke a world record!

Unlike most idols, he wasn’t slim-trim, with a “Justin Bieber” haircut, skinny jeans, and hot dance moves. He was an “average” guy. His music also made a statement. He pointed out satirically about the lavish lifestyle in Gangnam, a district in Seoul, Korea, the center of Korean pop culture. This appealed to audiences worldwide.

Psy also put his label, YG, on the map. Korea hopes to use his fandom as a sign of diplomacy and “soft power”.

What Makes the Korean Wave Unique from other “Asian Waves”?

The Korean phenomenon wasn’t the first international fascination with Asian culture. Asian persuasion has been around since the growing popularity of Kung Fu films in the 1970’s and 1980’s, which put Chinese cinema on the map and popularized Chinese culture and history in many parts of the world. The growing popularity of Japanese culture dominated the 1990’s.

But what makes the “Korean Wave” unique is that it is getting popular in an era that is influenced by the “Digital Revolution”. It is spreading at a much faster rate and on a more universal scale than the other two phenomenons.

It’s also unique in the fact that Koreans are popular for their “modern” culture, and not stereotyped, historical depictions of them that may no longer ring true (like all Asian men learning martial arts). Koreans are looked at as more of an advancing society, as their modern culture is more popular than their ancient one, and that’s what makes this “wave” special.

Finally, what makes the “Korean Wave” unique from the other two “Waves” is the fact that the “Korean Wave” shows a huge support from the female audience. Kung Fu movies and the “Japanese Wave” mostly had male audiences wrapped around their fingers. Though, as a female, I’ve been into all the waves at one time…

This also helps to change the world’s views on Asian culture. It helps to diminish biases, prejudices, and stereotypes. It creates mutual understanding and peace between nations.

What are characteristics of those involved with the Korean Wave?

1) Lots and Lots of fan girls-Because of the increased female fan-base, men are more objectified in K-pop and K-dramas, and female sexuality is highlighted. This makes Asian men more desirable to women.

2) K-pop Group biases and fan wars-With the rising popularity of K-pop groups, you find tons of fans defending their favorite “idol” groups. My favorite is f(x) recently. They helped sweep me into this “Korean Wave”. But I hate fan wars.

3) K-Drama discussions-K-dramas can be so dramatic, you will find tons of message boards about them. Prepare to cry.

4) Eclectic clothing-Korean clothing can be trendy and sometimes downright eccentric.

5) A bunch of young college kids-While you might think mostly teenagers are into this wave, sources show that the biggest support comes from young adults in their 20’s. So, this is what the college kids are into. I sort…of…um…am apart of that demographic. :3

Well, that’s all for now folks! Leave me a comment let me know what you think about Korea’s growing popularity!

Kingdom Hearts III Trailer REVEALED!!!!

15 Jun

Look at my background and you know I’m a major Kingdom hearts fan. Unfortunately, I’ve been behind on my Coded and Dream Drop Distance game. But, after a LONG wait, the trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 has finally been revealed! It’s still under development but so far it is SICK looking. Note: LOOKING. Remember KH II? It LOOKED cool, but reneged on the story development. Spike TV’s E3 show revealed it THIS WEEK!  How could I have missed that? Maybe because I hardly watch tv anymore…

If you don’t know what Kingdom Hearts is, you were probably born in 2007…Or you’re not a gaming fan.

The story combines the forces of Disney and Square-Enix. When it first came out, most people thought it was a joke, some crazy fan fic, and no one thought it would sell. This game showed how two very different companies can join forces and create a spectacular development. Kingdom Hearts was the first video game that brought to life several movies at once, and it still is. It had the coolest graphics back in the day.

It was a good idea because it brought in both fanbases. It was attractive to kids, and equally fun for adults, and nostalgic for Final Fantasy fans. It was breath of fresh air for the FF series.

The story follows a boy named Sora, and his friends Kairi and Riku, who wanted to travel worlds when one day their island was swallowed up, and Sora ended up in another world. There he meets Donald and Goofy as they search for their King Mickey. Sora realizes that he’s also separated from his friends, and so joins them to find his friends, traveling from Disney world after Disney world.

This trailer brings me back to my memory of when I first got this game.

When I was younger, I first saw the trailer on Disney Channel. I used to watch Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. It came out when I was in 7th grade. I was 12 years old. I first saw the behind the scenes on Disney 411 (before it became Disney 365). It captivated me, but I hated asking for things in my household. Then as a flipped the channel to Cartoon Network, the commercial came on with the Utada Hikaru song playing. It was soooo catchy, and I saw all the Disney characters. Then it showed up on Toonami. Then more commercials. So many commercials that I memorized the commercial’s song. One day, my mother was EXTREMELY sick. My uncle came to visit. He asked what we (My sister and I) wanted to cheer us up. We were thinking, not sure. We just said, “uh, Kingdom Hearts?” At first, my uncle tricked us by saying he was just kidding and that he’s not getting us a game. We were disappointed but we put it at the back of our minds. That night, he came home with the game. I remember turning on the PS2. I remember putting in the game. I remember pressing START. I remember seeing that same opening, that song, that was in the commercial, and they had the lyrics in the booklet that came in the box. And since, my gaming world had changed. I was so obsessed with that game, I talked to all my friends about it, both girls and boys. At the time,  7th grade girls didn’t seem interested, and called me a loser. But it’s cool. I found out my freshman year of college, one of those girls became a MAJOR Kingdom Hearts fan after hearing me talk about it so much! In college, I tried to play it cool. “Oh no, I don’t play it as often because I’m so busy now.” When she looked disappointed, I got quiet. She said, “Well, now I’m a major fan.” I felt ridiculous for trying to be something I’m not. See? That’s a lesson kids: embrace yourself.

So, yea, get to the trailer already, right?

Most of you will be happy to know that this is will be released on the XBox 1. YAAAAYYY! The problem is everything has to be downloaded. What if the server crashes? Also, it will be released on the PS4. Didn’t I tell you they were waiting for a new gaming console? If you don’t remember my last article on DDD…PS4 is on my wishlist to myself.

https://generationnextnextnext.wordpress.com/2011/02/10/kingdom-hearts-3d-dream-drop-distance/

But who wouldn’t prefer to play it on a new console? Hopefully, this means KH III is coming soon.

I hope I’m not too late on this. But I’m glad I spotted it!

Since I didn’t see the E3 myself, shucks, I will post a review from one of my favorite Youtube KH fans, Neogamespark.
